As many of you will have seen in a previous video, my Toyota Prado, Tom Cruiser, was recently kitted with some amazing overlanding products from Big Country. When I tested the setup in Mapungubwe National Park a month ago, however, I realised that there were still a few essential camping products needed to make my life around camp easier.
In this video, I tell you more about a few of these overlanding products, including:
1) A canvas bag from Freego South Africa in which I can store my second camping table, my camping chairs and my ground sheet;
2) A Bluetti EB70 portable power bank that allows me to charge all my gear and run my fridge when my dual battery is low; and
3) A Big Country foldable table on the back door for extra working space.
I also show you the awesome side panels for the Big Country Ostrich Wing Awning!
I hope you enjoy this short update and, if you do, please consider becoming a patron of the channel by following the link at the top of the video description.

I love seeing all the amazing things that make overland camping so sweet and comfy!
Lekker setup!
Fanks seuna!
HI, What kind of roofrack and brackets are you using with the big Ostrich wing awning?
It’s the Big Country roof rack for the Prado 90 Series
Hi Villiers,
Nice and practical setup. Thank you for sharing
My pleasure
Hi Villiers, when are you headed to the Kgalagadi?
Later this month 😉
Excellent update! That Kruger Map Table cloth is pure class! Where did you manage to find / make that??
Thanks Janko. You can order it from Wilder Designz.
Hi Villiers. Whats the reason for not having a rtt?
Like explained in my overlanding transformation video a couple of months ago, there’s not enough space on the Prado’s roof rack for a roof top tent AND all the other things I want to be able to put on there. I also actually prefer sleeping in a ground tent with more space, where I can stand up when I chance. And lastly, I hate having to close my tent when I want to go on a game drive 😵💫
@@TheSafariExpert Thanks I'll watch that video I didnt see it. Different preferences I guess. Personally I dont think I could camp in a ground tent in open areas with wildlife lurking around...
Awesome stuff
Hi! I am interested in the extension of your roof rack. Did you do a review on it?
Hi Johan. Perhaps you misunderstood - I didn't actually extend the roof rack. This is the standard Big Country roof rack for the Prado 90 series, but there was a bit of extra space left in the front for the bag after having positioned everything else. In fact, I positioned everything else specifically so that I have that big of space for a bag to strap onto.
@@TheSafariExpert Thank you for the clarification - and for the wonderful work you are doing for all of us.
