Matatus should also have a designated area. They are an eyesore in CBD.
Kelele pia inakaa kupunguka.
Also those country side shuttles and buses mkokotenis should be removed also they make CBD so cheotic.
Never going to happen...Those Cartels from CENTRAL that run this are too powerful...All 4 Governments have not been able to control them, unless you have the military do this ,it is just but a pipe dream
At least people can walk freely. I like it.
Wow. It looks like its a relief already. It still looks very chaotic. Next ni matatu clean up. Na hao idlers wote warudi ocha!
Good job... Matatu Sasa ndio zinafaa zitoke
THANK YOU! I knew I missed home, but after watching this video, it really hit me hard that I really miss home. I even saw my old primary school (City primary, it was near the fig tree stage, on the left side of the fly over pedestrian bridge) But one thing is clear, Nairobi City officials are taking Kenyans for a ride. The city's cleanliness standards are a mess. Nairobi cannot just be hawkers and matatus. There needs to be order. Lakini, I really enjoyed watching this video. Thank you!
Thankyou for watching
Interesting. I must have walked and cycled through all those streets. It would be nice to have a bit of commentary - street names, previous names, prominent buildings, etc.
Lack of proper or enacted designation of PSV termini has turned the CBD into an eyesore.
so where the hawkers moved to ? new location ?
alaaa cbd imekuwa safi!!!!
They should now build 4 bus termini to ensure that public service vehicles do not enter the CBD. Dar Es Salaam has done it, Nairobi can also do it. BRT should also be implemented full force.
beautiful
next ni matatu zitolewe
Nairobi is far much better WITHOUT Hawker, that's for SURE!
Very nice video. The pavement around koja stage and the area around need to be retouched. Otherwise, nice shoot.
walkways in most parts of the city are in bad state, thankyou for watching
The departue of the hawkers have brought into view the dilapidated state of some of the streets of Nairobi.
All public transportation needs to be banned from CBD. Look at all those Matatus clogging the streets.
That means the cartels from Central are nolonger in power and that is NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE! Why do you think for over 30 years they have tried but all in vain?
they said they will remove them but nothing came from it, even the hawkers will be back soon. sadly
@@rexxsade6425 They were saying this more than 20 years ago... but nothing changes
There is so much politics involved about matatus NMS even tried building bus parks outside the CBD but still it didn't work
@ Its all bs. All these videos are dominated by these vehicles and I'm not even sure if they're making any money. A few high capacity buses running on a dedicated schedule and traffic lanes can eliminate this quagmire.
what type of camera you use
I hope the hawkers will not returned, CBD was very disgusting, unclean,
rubbish everywhere, it made CBD Nairobi look like THIRD WORLD COUNTRY
You cannot just ban public transport in the city without implementing other means to get people in the city. To decongest the right way would require billions to build a new transport system eg trams, the problem is theft of resources that would have gone to such developments. If you look at present governor and the predecessors, they are all billionaires. It’s either you steal and become a billionaire or not steal and build the city to better standards.
Kenyan leadership is just a bunch of thieves. They have stollen everything.
Finally those people are out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is what We want. We can't have markets everywhere. Next all loud speakers and car hones and noisy touts should also follow.
wao , u see a difference!!! but there is much to be done for nairobi to look like a capital city of a nation- decent.
We cannot claim to be the next Singapore in 1970 Nairobi was far from Singapore...if you see Singapore today machozi....I discovered more shops i didn't know existed! Still more to be done what of BRT?
wait did i see msee amedunga suti na kofia
Does the governor ever take a walk tour of our city? I miss the late michuki. Honestly, the county government is doing way too less to make the city any great. Shame on you.
🙆 they should limit soil exposure in the city the roads are soiled so ugly
Too much covering is ugly too. A little earth is good.
@1devoch then don't complain saying the city is dirty, if you want clean roads, pavements etc you can't afford to have bare earth considering 90%of our people walk alternative is to have containers with flowers and vegetations.
@@bingorolly when I say a little earth I meant more green spaces. Less cobbling.
@@bingorolly na pia gari za kitengela zinapita hapo 😁
Dusty dusty🥲
Hawkers haven't left c.b.d.
But this was shot on a Sunday whereby Sundays is not at all busy on the streets.
Thanks for watching. Actually this was shot on a Tuesday
Let this be an old town. Do a mega city in Konza. Upperhill be the financial hub
Sasa Matatu watoke.
Sasa watu watoke pia
Remove these Matatus, hand carts from the CBD and it will look nice.
What a filthy and congested place! It will take proper urban planning to really modernize this place.
@sarcodiemiller386 it's not that filthy. I have read stories about Europe and how filthy cities like London used to be before they got their act together. Londeners used to defecate everywhere.
Give credit where it's due before the place was chaos
@@sarcodiemiller386 we still have a long way to go, in a few months back to hawkers etc
@mrrigz6540 be optimistic my dear.
@@fredricknganga1586 What credit is there to give? How can you rank chaos? Kenya is not a poor country - There are just poor people rich in mediocrity..
DO NOT LET HAWKERS BAKC TO CBD PERIOD.
Bado kunao wamekataa kutoka which will incite others to come back
there is a woman hawking somewhere,,,is she not human?
She is testing the water's
The camera type.......
14th century city. Chaos and rubbish all over
Dirty and Filthy. The idea of cleaning streets with water is foreign in Africa!!!
Brt bus
This was not well thought out, it was all political, this is going to have a negative effect to Nairobi as a business hub, most of this shops are going to close down.
This is pathetic
