The Professor's perspective on the DRC appears not only erroneous but also seems to propagate Rwanda and Uganda's agenda, aiming to fragment the DRC and annex its territories. It is imperative to recall that in 1998, Rwanda and Uganda collaborated in an incursion against the DRC, with the objective of capturing Kinshasa and occupying the country. The genociders are in the Congo so Rwanda must go to Congo and exterminate them even if Rwanda must violet international laws...? 2. How about the other 8 neighbouring countries remaining, don't they also have tribes in DRC Speaking the same language/dialect as those in their Countries? or Congo only hates the Tutsi's that are in Congo so much that it wants them to go to Rwanda out of the 8 other remaining people who speak the same languages as others in neighbouring countries? 4. Indeed we need to break the psychological chains that has kept these people’s and Countries at war.. We need to review, re-educate and emancipate people from this mental and physical turmoil instigated by the historical colonisers. We need to move forward and collaborate, so we can accomplish what we know is possible. ONE. AFRICA.
The good book said, "The truth shall set you free." How befitting a statement considering what is going on in the world today and in particular, Africa. Most of the social, economic, and political problems on the planet have the European's name written all over them.
I'm honestly disappointed in Prof. Lumumba's deliberate attempt to distort the truth regarding DRC's issue with M23 in North Kivu: 1. He suggests that borders shouldn't be used or seen as barriers separating people but rather as boundaries that ease territorial administration. This is very far from the truth. National borders in the modern international system are primarily there as antidotes to insecurity and chaos. Although inherited from colonialists, national borders are there because of the concept known as the "Westphalian nation state" that was formed in 1664. If borders, especially in Africa, were primarily administrative, it would have been very easy for the OAU in Addis to form an African federal government or at least an African state with sovereignty to run our foreign affairs and some form of semi autonomous territories. This didn't happen. Sovereignty stayed with territories, and the massive territory or continental Africa, got nothing. The DRC put an exception of refusing to talk with M23, not because M23 members or Kinyarwanda speaking Congolese are not citizens of DRC, no. DRC refused to negotiate with M23 because they believe that M23 is a tool on Kagame's hands that he uses to cause insecurity in Eastern DRC to exploit the vast mineral, and timber resources in Eastern Congo and that Kagame is the main middle man for the violent and cheap exploitation of African resources by Western powers. I know the good professor is aware of this. Why are you twisting the truth, professor? 2. The majority by over 85% of Kinyarwanda speaking Congolese have no problem with the central government in Kinshasa, while those closely related with Kagame have been fighting in DRC since 1996. This very small minority of Congolese are the ones who have caused devastating destruction in Eastern DRC with 6 million Congolese dead and more than 10M displaced or refugees. Why hasn't the good professor never addressed this African catastrophe? 3. If you blame President Tshisekedi for refusing to talk to M23, I would like to know what you have to say about former President Joseph Kabila, who held talks directly with Kagame and agreements would be arrived at, including the appointment of Kagame's clients in DRC as top Generals, only for them to rebel against Joseph Kabila to return to the East to over see Kagame's interests of making sure that enough gold, diamonds, coltan, Wolfram, Tin, etc were available in stock in Kigali for the Western black market. 4. Uganda and Kenya have similar people on their common border. What would happen if Uganda's Luo speaking people conspired with their Kenyan brothers against Kenya's security and economic interests? Would Kenya not defend its national integrity? I guess Kenya would act. But would Kenya act without making reference to its identity as an entity with sovereignty, territory, and self-determination? Would Kenya's interest be answering to the cultural and blood relations between the Luo or in dealing with the conspiracy? Should anyone, anywhere, blame Kenya for safeguarding her territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and self-determination?
Man i salute you sir, looks like you got a full background on what is going on in DRC. Kagame is a criminal against the Bantu's, he was behind the bombing the then Bantu (Hutu) President Juvenal Habyarimana which led to the civil war against the Hutu's! He has since remained in power creating some kind of dynasty!
But why is Congo such a weak nation at this point? Why can’t they destroy m23 and invade the small Rwanda? Why is Rwanda building its country with Congolese minerals and Kinshasa is mostly looking like a dirt mess with the young population having no jobs?

If Rwanda was approaching to solve a conflict between brothers in the DRC it did not need to arm and train the M23 and it would have got more support from other African countries and this conflict would have been sorted out. Rwanda is interested in mineral resources of that area and it is already benefiting from such looting. As long as the truth is half-baked there won’t be a solution in the DRC. I love and respect Prof Lumumba. Peace is necessary, but as africans, we need to look at each other in the eyes and speak the truth.

Thanks for sharing this and articulating an up to to date analysis of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo/Rwanda situation.
Very insightful, Prof. we appreciate the knowledge and education you are taking through and what is at stake.my god grace you with many years to come.
Where are the M23 getting their weapons. This question must be answered.
From the Rwanda Defense Forces
same as where does FDLR get it's weapons? IT'S DRC gvt that keeps supporting them since 30 years
Same question we could ask where FDLR gets its weapons. Don't ask just one sided question
@@dj5341 frdc sold it to them..., you don't know..!
That's the root cause of this problem.
It's a pleasure and privileged information, Prof. You are a living gem for Africa; long live, Prof!
I'm honestly disappointed in Prof. Lumumba's deliberate attempt to distort the truth regarding DRC's issue with M23 in North Kivu:

A very fair analysis. M23 will never stop no matter the fight against them because you can never stop a people fighting for identity and rights
100% they are fighting a war of existence. It's do or die.
You are Rwandese.
TBH the M23 were Kadoko soldiers known as Banyamulenge Tutsis backed by Rwanda/Uganda who helped the late Laurent Desire Kabila’s AFDLR’s march to Kinshasa taking a town every week.
Upon arrival Kabila told them thanks but please leave the DRC so General Kaberebe refused to leave and the war started in Kinshasa with Zimbabwe sending troops to capture back Kinshasa started whats called the 2nd Congo war it sucked in Angola, Namibia.
Factually the M23 can take Kinshasa without a big fight because the DRC is weak militarily South Africa is now weak , former saviours Zimbabwe and Angola don’t want to waste billions again on a nation that is disorganized.

What knowledge? This huy is talking nonsense. Negotiate with M23 rebels about what exactly? There are no people in East of Congo who are not recognized as Congolese citizens. Since when an African country refuses citizenship to any African person? So what is this clown of self-style Prof Lumumba talking about?
Nah prof I disagree with your take on Kinshasa severing ties, the EACRF was a good idea but their mandate should have included working with FARDC to neutralize M23 and stabilize the region. Rwanda has clearly marched across the border and are fighting the FARDC. If that’s not a full scale invasion, I don’t know what else would qualify.
FARDC has backed up Hutuz who are actually fueling the hate across DRC against Tutsiz and their beliefs
Exactly I think he’s been paid for this lies
Congolese government only agrees with their ignorance rooted in tribalism
Any comment disagreeing with what prof is saying
Is a Congolese who believes that banyamulenge shouldn’t be in Congo just because they are of Tutsi origin.

The cheval de troie M23 is not a Banyamulenge but an armed group used by multinationals while exploiting minerals under a false ehtinic identity claiming they are discriminated. Fellow citizens, my question is why Rwanda alone is being accused of supporting M23. what about those supporting DRC? Aren't they supposed to share the same accusations? Let's reason together. We are all children of the land. If we are able to give our ears to one side and exclude the other, then there's no justice. Someone is telling lies and benefiting from the war.
