I remember in 08 when I watched a C.O.D. sell for $150K and thought that was a lot for a tractor. These numbers blow that out of the water.

1 million 470 thousand for the 1913 Case 3060 you say, wow, I'm stunned. Beautiful tractor, but I don't see how a person could afford it, unless your a politician. Thanks for sharing, have a great day.

You need to factor the 10% buyers premium the auctioneer gets. So it actually cost way more.

Crazy!! Started with 60's muscle cars, then all classic cars, then pickup trucks, now tractors. I guess the market will bare what people are willing to pay. I paid $5,000 for a restored 1960 Chevy pickup truck 30 years ago. I shutter to think what my truck is worth now, LOL.....

I wish pre 1930 threshing machines brought half that. I could afford that nice IHC tractor they featured in this video. Then again, if I sold my threshers for that tractor, there wouldn't be anything left to play with! 😂

I remember in 1968 the Case was sold for like 20000 dollars. Then to sell for one and a half million. WOW BROTHER, I REALLY MISSED THE BOAT ON THAT DEAL.....

Not that these machines aint valuable, but why in the sam hill would someone pay that kind of price for a collectors tractor????? Ida guessed a 100 grand would be practical for machines like these but wow at what they brought!.

There is a lot of money out there. There is more wealth then one may think. A lot of guys are successful business owners, have money,no kids, are up there in their years and just decide they are going to enjoy the rest of their lives.

I wonder what a Dain tractor would do at auction in todays market. I bet it would top the case.

Well believe it or not, there are people around with that much spending money. The guys paying those prices, tend to be older business men that want to be the top dog in the collector camp. They don't have many active years left and they have more than enough cash. If they want in, ante up! It's only the last several years that some of the early collections have come into the market.

I love all antique tractors, including these...but I actually would not want to own, or have to move around/transport, one of these creaking iron behemoths..thankfully, the tractors I really love, the ones from the late 1930's to the mid-1970's, are almost all still very affordable, even the rarer ones..those are from what I consider the "golden era" of tractors..the ones from the late 1970's-late 1990's are still good tractors, and are nice, but lost a lot on classic looks, IMHO...the modern tractors, I really don't care for, much for the same reasons I don't care for modern cars and trucks...the loss of a lot of the old familiar brands, bizarre, rounded, aero "angry insect" styling with sloped off/rounded hoods, and of course because, like cars and trucks, they are laden with lots of complicated electronics and emission stuff...
