"when my wife and I are watching.....movies" while I knew the backpedal was going to happen I still busted out laughing cause I have an 8 year old and they just materialize out of NO WHERE.
I’ve held the idea “Ignorant until proven malevolent” for a long time, but I love how y’all picked out some realllll good ones that realllly challenge that idea right off the bat
As much as I hate it when others gossip, I have certainly noticed that it's hard to a) realize WHEN you're doing it, or b) to stop yourself when you REALLY want to. I still think it's wrong, but I get the struggle. Especially when you start by wanting to just check yourself and make sure you're not overreacting, but then (perhaps due to the response of the person you're speaking to or because you're just too annoyed) it turns into gossip. I hate it when I find myself doing it because I'm always like "DAMNIT! This isn't what I meant it to be. Now it looks terrible and will have a negative outcome for someone".
It is a long way back to take the cart. I totally understand that. But... that's why there are cart return spots in the parking lot. Simple laziness is unforgivable.
Sometimes it's a mom rushing to get the kids or baby in the car and it's a bit difficult to juggle it. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for putting things back, but sometimes you just have one of those days
Worked as a cart monkey. It's really bad, especially when they just prop the front wheels on the curb. They had the strength to do that, but not the strength to put the cart away.
One that you missed are the people who don't get out of the way of first responder vehicles. If they are going full lights and sirens, pull over and get out of their way. Another, much less severe one are the people, usually with high end cars, what take up multiple spaces in a parking lot.
In reference to the shopping centre, getting in people's way, I've found being vocally polite and saying "excuse me" people will JUMP out of the way for you. Being more confident in that area has made the whole experience so much better.
Along with the tailgating thing (and something I'm sure most people don't really think about) is cutting people off, especially large semi trucks/18 wheelers. My husband is a truck driver and people frequently change lanes right in front of him as if he's driving a Prius. Those trucks can NOT stop quickly, so they often have navigators on the engine that force the brakes to slam if a vehicle pulls in too close, which can result in a jack-knifed trailer and the chain reaction of traffic issues that can follow or - at the very least - a lot of damaged cargo. A pretty safe rule of thumb is to allow about as much space between you and the truck as the truck is longif you're going roughly the same speed. If you want to do something helpful for those truckers, pay attention to when they're trying to change lanes: if you're behind them in the lane they're trying to enter, flash your lights to let them know the lane is clear. A lot of them will flash their lights back at you as a thank you, and you'd be surprised how good it makes you feel.
19:53 I was dating this girl last summer, and at one point she off-handedly mentioned to me that she tailgates people “as a hint that they should speed up” and I lost interest in that split second. Because like Skizz says, tailgating is SO stupid risky, and she was so nonchalant yet intentional about doing it
So enjoying this topic! It is helpful to vent and realize you are not alone in feeling this way. We bought a printer with refillable ink reservoirs-best thing ever. My 17 yr old went for a walk with his cousin (both 6ft tall, big boys) at gpa’s town, a dog came off the front porch (owner sitting there too) and crossed the street and bit my son in the butt! We reported it to police because we didn’t want it to happen to anyone else. Awful! My hubby loves to play with scammers. He thinks if he’s taking their time, they can’t scam sweet old ladies. He has built a virtual computer, coded a fake bank website, and installed a key logger to it-he actually got a scammer’s username and password to their payment processing system and then proceeded to call all the banks on the list to tell them their customer was being scammed and they should stop payment- the big banks never listened but a small credit union actually called him back once to thank him after they looked into it. Also, everyone should be required to work customer service as a teen/young adult to teach them customer etiquette.
Thank you guys so much. This is beyond cathartic. Being a better human being has been a goal of mine for so long, so this resonates with me so much. That said, part of that has been realizing that things are not always that way we think. It's easy for me to get upset that others are not working on being better when there's something going on I just don't understand. Which is the other part of me trying to be better: no matter how well I understand the situation, I can never truly put myself in their shoes because I will always process it with my brain and I can't use theirs. It sounds dumb and obvious, but we often think we can put ourselves in the same situation and make a better decision so they should have acted different, when that's not reality for them. Anyway, soap box over, I appreciate you guys
Best gossip lesson I ever learned was negative gossip should only be said to the persons face, but positively talking about people to others is great. It fosters a kinder social environment and fulfills that gossip urge. It's easier to replace a habit than to eliminate it entirely.
As someone who worked at grocery stores, this was great to hear. I’ve seen people just blatantly put items in the wrong spot and just leave their shopping carts out. It always makes me mad. The only times I’ve been fine with people leaving out their shopping carts is if they’re locked
Speaking of being a dog owner it really is frustrating when other people don't control their dogs. A situation of mine is we have our dogs in our backyard in a fence and the inside dogs are taken on walks out front never off of a leash but we sometimes cant walk our own dogs in the front because a neighbor lets their dog roam free and isn't friendly so that is definitely a COME ON MAN moment 😂
This is a great podcast! What they are getting at is that there is an unwritten social contract when you are part of a society. In that context, “being better” requires people to have and employ empathy in the actions they take even when there isn’t a direct interaction with others.
First: Mark Rober on the podcast, YES! I would LOVE to see/listen to that. Second: to go along with the tailgating and car portion, and I'm thinking a lot of people don't realize this, but the cars with those bright blue headlights... You kind of need to increase your follow distance when they are on because they are absolutely blinding in the mirrors of the car ahead of you and make it hard to drive because of the super bright reflections on each side and top center of their view, which is dangerous. While the lights help you see while driving, it can actually limit the vision of the car ahead of you. So please be careful and don't follow as close as you normally would.
I love that you both treat waiters like human beings. It’s these insights that say a lot about a person. My family went out to eat probably once a month once I (the youngest) was old enough to sit still. From the time I can remember, we would treat our waiter like a family member coming to clear our plates. The five of us would make sure to stack dirty plates/utensils and leave them at the end of a table where they were easily picked up. My mom would always wipe the table to get rid of crumbs with a napkin and us 3 kids just learned to follow her example. None of us have ever had a service job but it was simply common courtesy. The urinals as trash receptacles was a new one for me. Gross!
This was such a wholesome episode guys!! I have a saying that I teach people when I train them at my job, “complete this task in a way that will make the next person’s life easier.” In a nutshell, people should care more about others, even if they cant directly see the positive impact they make in someones life. We should all try to be that positive impact maker to each other, every day.
I always saw the shopping carts randomly around parking lots the same way, rude and lazy. My disabled godmother set me straight. She told me it was extremely rude of me to put away carts near handicapped parking spots. She said, "Some of us desperately need a cart to lean on to get into the store. Leave that cart right where it is." It opened my eyes to a different perspective.
So every topic you guys talked about in todays podcast ive seen in most of the different jobs ive had. The smokers just outside the patio, the odd tube of ground beef in the toy section, gum on the ground, it annoys me to no end, but i just do the best i can to make the situation better for everyone else.
What a lot of this boils down to is lack of situational awareness. The inability or unwillingness to acknowledge the world around them and how they affect it. Side note we absolutely do not deserve dogs. The worst dogs in the world are still leagues better than the best people.
I forgot to mention, I watched this in the middle of the night (insomniac 4 lyfe) around 3am with noise-cancelling headphones in my condo and when Impulse went on the Office Space PC LOAD LETTER rant I was dying - I laughed out loud so hard I’ve no doubt I probably woke my neighbour up. 😬
The tailgating thing is really a problem especially when you are driving, and the road is icy. This happens all the time for me. There are so many things that I can relate to with this subject. This has been a very enjoyable topic to listen to.
Same and just to add to that is people who tailgate and also have their Brights on, I work nights and get off at 1AM and it happens all the time, I don't have road rage but those people sure do make it tempting and like you mentioned it's even worse when the roads are slippery and icy
This podcast is so relatable and usually I just roll my eyes to those people but the smoking, if I stay near those people for too long, it just ends up clogging my breathing
Shopping carts... yes. When my children were younger we went to Wal-Mart one windy evening, and there were carts everywhere. It was freezing cold, very windy... but my kids went out there and gathered every single cart and put them in the coral properly. I was very proud of them. Why did they do this? I stopped ONE of those carts from hitting a rather fancy looking car. Tailgating... oh goodness, I hate that. I slow down. I was taking my son to his duty station just last year and had someone tailgating me on a two lane road in the middle of nowhere... it was icy (winter stories are fun) and I was unfamiliar with the area, and it was dark. The guy went around me, revving his engine, and then slammed on the brakes and next thing I know, a deer was bucking and the guy nearly went off the road. I managed to stop somehow. I'm not sure how because the jerk had cut me off so close... I remember driving forward at a crawl wondering how the heck I didn't get into an accident. The grocery store meat thing resonates with me. I also hate how people open packs of pens to take just one... or who mark up notebooks or cause damage in stores, or disorder. I want ALL those people to work in that job to see how much picking up after other people sucks. Also an ex smoker... I quit smoking in restaurants long before I quit smoking, and actually got mad at folks who lit up in non smoking areas. I liked to think I was a polite smoker... never lit up in a car, or indoors... smoked outside even at home. I never smoked in front of a doorway... and I'm glad to be nearly a year quit now. It really is a noxious habit. One thing that really irritates me is people who drive with their brights on, or people with overly loud car engines and radios. I'm sensitive to noise and these people invade my home with their noises... and cause me panic attacks. Especially with those really deep base speakers. I wish they'd respect the peace of people's homes and spaces.
My sister said something interesting: the reason that road rage is so common is because inside of a car, you have no control over anything else, and it’s easier to gar mad at people than to just sit and watch without control.
On your guys' point about putting back items you've decided you don't want to buy anymore, thank you. I work in retail on the stocking team and the number of items I see out of place everyday is so frustrating. Another thing you guys brought up was the tailgating. I'm young and still a new driver and tailgating makes me so incredibly nervous. I'm not from a state that has particularly bad drivers so it doesn't happen very often but it still makes me so anxious.
Regarding printer and ink prices - it's called "The Razor & Blades" model. The printers are sold at a loss, and the price for ink is jacked sky-high to cover the costs. "Give 'em the razor, sell 'em the blades."
It's the same for me... I live in Sweden and I constantly looking around myself to make sure that i am not in the way of someone else. To much to ask other to do the same :D Great podcast by the way!
I've been grocery shopping via pick up (the employees select the stuff from my list and I drive there, get it, and drive home) since the pandemic. The store has designated pick up parking spots, so the employees can easily bring the items out and load them in your car. But since these spots are close to the entrance, there are always entitled jerks using them as regular parking, despite the clear signs. If I have to schedule my pick up for a busy time, I always know there's a good chance there will be no place for me to park when I arrive. I admit, I've daydreamed a little bit about going down the line of pick up spots and writing "entitled a-hole" on all the unattended vehicles. Wouldn't actually do it. But it would be so satisfying.
The shopping cart thing irks me and I don't even have a driver's licence lol 🤣 but I go around a lot with the rest of my family and then we "never find parking" because, of the car(t) that is parked there. Also, in the town I live, people will park carts in the store too and just...leave - sometimes even with items still in the cart and just bail out of the store, and it's not that rare that it could all be emergencies. It is soooo weird, "come on man!" Love you Imp and Skizz 🤗🤗🤗
I agree with a lot of the pet peeves mentioned. Years ago, a friend’s boyfriend used to park far away from the store for ‘exercise’, but when it came to walking back to put the cart away, he would just leave it, not worth the walk. As someone who has had two family members targeted by scammers, I agree with skizz, they are worth than thieves.
I speak loudly because A. I come from a loud and large family and B. I work in a noisy environment with ear plugs. My friends often have to remind me I'm being loud. I try not to, but it is just a natural speaking voice for me... often embarrassing so. So a kind reminder instead of a reprimand goes far.
People that don’t consider anyone else are the worst. They have no awareness that anybody but themselves exist. Just try for a second to think about how what you are doing may affect others around you and is there any way I can reduce that impact. Great podcast guys.
Worked at Sam's. People DID buy printers over ink. Until the were told ink refill is like 9$ a cartridge. It's the shipping and packaging that costs for ink. The cheap printers are another problem lol
My C‘mon man is when I’m in the right lane and someone tailgates me when they can clearly pass me. What’s worse is when they finally pass, get in front of me and slow down. Not purposefully, just being ignorant. If I pass they’ll tailgate again. It’s the worst!
When you buy a printer the cartridges come with ink enough for you to test it, not print large documents but when you buy the replacement cartridge it comes full of ink. That is the reason for the price difference (that's the answer someone told me at office depot some time ago).
I listen each friday morning as I play Vault Hunters before getting going with my day (Im on west coast) (and getting the kids up, etc). Would you do some episodes on your unique expertise about gaming and youtubing? Itd be great to get some perspective on what the industry islike for people in my age demographic (I grew up playing video games, now have teenagers of my own) with so many loud “kids” that dont have the life experience of having kids and outside jobs. Not saying their struggles arent real, but they havent reached the point where they realise they dont know everything yet!
In regards to printers, if you're just printing out text, get a black and white laser printer. The cartridges last forever and don't dry out. I bought a Brother printer 10 years ago for like $130 and it's still going strong PLUS I've only had to swap out the cartridge twice.
It's an undeniable fact that printers are a scam, but something that few people realize is that the included cartridge is often not filled as much as the regular or "XL" ones, something like 15% for the first, 30% for regular and 45% for XL, but it deosn't matter cause it's so poorly made that in one month it'll be dried and won't work (on purpose). That's why if you need the occasional print, get a laser printer, it's MUCH cheaper in the long run, no liquid ink, just a dense powder that'll last for 20x the number of pages and never too dry to work. With my current ink printer I got to print maybe 5 pages before the ink "dried", that's over 10$/page and 20 sheets wasted trying to get 2-3 more half decent pages.
Mark Rober's ninja squirrel courses were really entertaining to watch. It is amazing to hear that the people that create content also enjoy watching content that you randomly find in the youtube space as well :D Loving the podcast, loving the topic and hearing all the life stories
printer story reminded me of when i was once an extra on the TV show Portlandia in like 2013 bc my mom interned for them. the episode where the mayor throws a printer/fax machine? into the river, and then is immediately protested against. i had a picket sign that said 'I'LL PC YOUR LOAD LETTER' and it still makes me laugh to think about
Parking in a handicapped area without being handicapped. Being a truck stop cashier, pet peev: truckers who park blocking the view of the pumps, anyone parking at the pumps without getting fuel. Coming into the building, looking right at the bathroom door and ask "Where's the bathroom?". Adults who can't pour a cup of coffee without running the cup over.
You two are doing a fantastic job. Love these podcasts. You hit right at home one so many of these items. I used to work waiting and such years ago. From that I also now "clean up" the table before we leave. The shopping cart thing is so stupid. Is it really so hard just to push it into cart stand?! It takes half a minute. Also the smoking. My parents smoked heavy so I have always been around it, and developed some sinus trouble because of it. Even though my husband smokes, he is courteous enough to keep it out of the house. Thanks for another great show.
My 80+ year-old parents were scammed for almost $1,000. I've never felt such hate for another human. They had them on the phone for over an hour. The scammers knew they were sweet elderly people who didn't understand technology. Several more have tried (I'm sure they are on a list of easy prey somewhere.), but they haven't fallen for it again. Close, but not quite.
I'm a grocery store worker and my sister is a waitress and skizz hit so much of this on the nose. Everybody should have to have some sort of retail experience just to learn how to treat people. I also report the scammers when I see them because they shouldn't win.
someone stole my catalytic converter, i had just moved to a new state and had all the exspenses that come with that, and i sat in my car and cried, im not a mechanically inclined person at all and had no idea what was wrong, so in my mind the engine had failed in some way and would need repairs and i knew i couldnt afford that, it was an absolutely shitty day; and when i learned that another human had made the choice to do that to me, my faith in humanity shattered for a few days
When I was learning how to drive, I was taught to leave 1 car length for every 10 mph. So if you are driving at 60 mph, you should be back 10 car lengths. If you actually measure it out, it's much farther than you think. Also, if move over and pass another vehicle, once you get past them you shouldnt move back over until you can see BOTH of their headlights in your reaview mirror to avoid cutting them off.Again, it's much farther than you would think. My brother drove a tractor/trailer for years hauling rock, he has so many horror stories of people who refuse to keep their distance on a large vehicle that takes a 1/4 mile to stop. You cannot play chicken with an 18 wheeler, they are bigger and heavier and you will lose
Talking about people stealing catalytic converters. My sister and I were borrowing my grandparents’ pickup truck when we were visiting them about 1 year ago. We went out for supper with some relatives and when we returned to the truck about 2 hours later, the catalytic converter was stolen. We were still able to drive it the 30 minutes back to my grandparents’ house, but the exhaust was terribly noisy! Yes, I absolutely hate scammers too. Someone tele-scammed my Great-Grandmother a few years ago. He pretended to be one of her grandsons and scammed her a huge amount of money. Thankfully, her banker caught it in time and prevented the huge financial loss! About farting in the elevator, my grandfather used to prank people with farts and he loved to do elevator farts. 😂 My grandfather was the kindest, sweetest, and most caring person you could ever meet, but he definitely liked to make trouble and pull pranks. Skizz, about your dog Dobby, it is actually very common for dogs to be afraid of men. One of my little dogs will warm up to women eventually, but he is afraid of men.
The perishables out to rot got me! I hate seeing it, because I have no idea how long it's been there and putting it back might actually make someone sick. At least non-refrigerated items won't spoil quicker from being out of place, but cold items should at least be put back somewhere that keeps them from going bad!
As a freelance graphic designer who's family thinks I'm some kind of free invitation and pamphlet service, I can vouch on the endless frustration in dealing with various home printer models and their useless softwares. I tell people to print their stuff at the library or any nearby same-day service because I refuse to deal with those useless user manuals that basically tell you to send the device in for service after wasting half the ink in your cartridges. Sometimes it doesn't even USE the ink, but the chip connected to those cartridges will "estimate" how much ink you have left based on what you've sent to the printer, rather than actually checking how much ink is in the reservoirs. There's only so much I can do, but there's so much salt added to the wound when you see a clearly full ink cartridge showing up as 'low on ink' within your printer. Just send it somewhere else, it's not worth the frustration.
Thanks guys, awesome topic this week. Skizz, you should try my solution for tailgaters. When someone tailgates me, I take my foot off the gas, and keep it off until they get the message. Never have had to come to a complete stop, the message usually sinks in at about 30% reduction in speed. My philosophy is simple, if the distance between our cars can only be safe at low speeds, then I will match my speed to the safe distance.
I got behind and just listened to the goals podcast. It made me make a simple goal. Go to the pool at least once last week, which I did. This week my aim is 3 times but my goal is at least once
I used to take leftovers for lunch every day to work and one night we had fish. It tasted so freaking good, I didn't even think about the lunch situation. I just knew I wanted more of that dinner and I was that guy that warmed up fish at work 😭 I felt so bad once I realized what I did...
When I was in my late teens/early 20s a friend of mine had rigged up a button on his dashboard that activated his brake lights without actually braking. When someone would tailgate him, he'd push the buttion and the person behind would slam on their brakes and hed just keep on going. What I do when people tailgate is to just take my foot off the gas and coast slower and slower until they go around me.
I've always been super loud. I know that for me, I get so excited about whatever I'm talking about that I don't even realize I'm being that loud. It was also normalized behavior because a few people in my family are the same way. It has taken many years of embarrassing friends for me to become aware of when I'm doing it and I still sometimes let it get away from me. When people in a billiards bar are telling you to lower your volume, you know you are being too loud. 😅
I just went shopping about a week ago and someone put a package of stewing beef on a shelf in a random isle. I didn't see them do it but the meat was still cold so I put it back in the refridgerated area with the rest of the stewing beef. It burns me up that people don't just go put stuff back. It's not being lazy, it's being a jerk. Same thing with shopping carts and anything else.
Been in the supermarket industry my whole life and people leave things on the wrong place all the time. Some are just forgetful or have far to many things on their minds, but I once caught an old men who left meat behind other merchandise unporpuse every single day. He would do everything in order to hide the meat.
Same, I hate grocery shopping, because there's always that 1 person standing in the middle of a narrow aisle. The other pet peeve is a person who is not only talking on their phone in public, but they are talking loud enough for everyone several feet away to hear every word. *perplexed look*
For printer's ink: recycle the cartridges and get them refilled, it costs about 5 euros in Spain, my parents have done it for ages, I can't do it in the UK (haven't found a place that does so locally) but hopefully you guys have a local place where you can get yours refilled.
I've been driving for about 4ish years. Tailgating drives me absolutely bonkers too. I've had situations where (for context we dont have multiple lane roads in most places here in NZ) a car will tailgate me, and if I slow down or I dont speed up, they'll risk their lives and go around my car. Actively go into the incoming lane and then back into the right lane. Its horrible. I'll never understand drivers who are so willing to risk killing or severely injuring other drivers or passengers. Also the smoking, so real. I used to smoke a lot (and vape) but I never smoked in public. The thought of smoking in public made me so incredibly uncomfortable. Before I became a smoker I HATED walking past people smoking, or being around someone smoking in a bar etc. I think like, that hatred before I started smoking really made me avoid public smoking. It's not that hard to respect other people in public.
Hello from spotify listening!!! I just started a new job and asked some friends for podcast recommendations, and this was on the list, so I've been listening to you guys for the last couple days ^^ i just wanted to make a comment here on the latest episode i listened to, and it's so old that you might not even see it, but i hope you do because you might get a kick out of this XD there was a point in this episode that made me decide "okay i need to leave a comment" and that was when you were talking about misplacing items in a store. for context? the job i just started is the night shift at walmart and my only job is literally finding those things and putting them back where they go LOL so the irony was strong in that moment hahaha other notes: tailgating! i hate tailgating!!!! my dad wrote his entire thesis on a piece of tech that would warn people if they were following too closely to the car in front of them, so the dangers of tailgating have been DRILLED INTO MY HEAD since i was but a wee lad. so if someone tailgates me, i purposefully drive even slower for 3 reasons (it always comes back to three LOL) 1- it makes it easier to pass me if, say, we're in a one lane, dotted yellow road where they'd go into oncoming traffic to pass me. 2- if i DO have to slam on my breaks, we're collectively traveling slow enough that they likely have a better chance of not hitting me. 3 - it annoys them Even More >:)c if you couldn't tell, i'm highly enjoying this so far, and looking forward to listening more!!! this is the first of your content that i'm consuming, i haven't seen either of your minecraft content beyond cameos in the life series, but i'm loving this as an introduction to you as a duo and your friendship. you've genuinely brought me close to tears a few times, only to follow it up with laughter not a minute later. thank you guys and keep it up
The absolute tornado that people leave behind on the Costco food court tables is ridiculous. Like, they didn't even try. It's not a sit-down restaurant where a bus boy is supposed to come clear your dirty dishes.
Just about everything you guys talked about today are on my pet peeve list as well. Every time I see one of those scam comments, I try and report it as such. Don't know if it helps but it makes me feel like I did something to fight back. Wait. The podcast is over?? Oh, Come on man.... 😆
Seconds into the video and as soon as the camera swapped i saw it... Impulse sitting under the yellow light and Skizz under the blue. Keepin' on brand ;)
That person speeding past everyone? Instead of assuming the worst, let's decide they really have to poop. I love how you guys try to find the positive in so many ways. I loved this podcast because sometimes it is a "C'mon man!" Still you gave it a bit of a positive spin. It is absolutely possible they honestly didn't realize they were doing it. My voice is naturally loud to the point that I could speak to a room full of people without the need for a microphone and easily be heard. My entire life I have been told repeatedly, "you don't have to yell." If I get excited while telling a story, oh dear lord. Therefore, I have developed a filter where my brain moderates my voice level. Having to filter myself constantly is frustrating and tiresome, but the alternative is to affect anyone within range in a negative way. Years ago, I complained to a friend that I hated it when someone talked over the top of me, interrupted, etc. I can still see the shock in her face when she informed me that I do that all the time. It was an eye opener for me. I am not always successful, but I have added that to my brain filter. In some cases, being unaware is because of how someone was raised. They weren't taught simple ettiquette and it isn't a natural thought for them. However, as mentioned, we should be situation aware. At some point, we have to take accountability for these things and learn even if it isn't easy. There are situations where someone is just being a jerk because they truly don't care. Stacking the plates when you're finished eating at a restaurant, putting the shopping cart back, returning items to their place when you change your mind, those things are done because of a mindset. If we look at the world around us with the consideration of how our actions or inactions affect others, those things are easier to do as part of a natural flow. As always, you two have done an amazing job. Thank you. Love your faces. :)
Tailgaiting is one of my pet peeves, especially when no one else is around. I usually drive with the cruise control on and when people do this, I just hit decrease every so often so the speed is set to 1mph less each time. One person was so oblivious to what was going on that I was down to less than 45mph on the frwy before they realized what was going on.
I've thought a lot about this topic and I think a lot of people disregard compassion and consideration. Furthermore, there's just an overabundance of entitlement. It's pretty frustrating. To that point, I think it breeds itself by way of making people give up and take the "if you can't beat em, join em" approach.
I remember watching that show when I was really little XD. The only clip I remember was during a Bangles vs. Cardinals game where one of the Bangles players literally did a front flip over one of the Cardinals players into the in zone. C'mon Man!
Ugh, I remember when I worked in a grocery store. Some jerks cracked open cat food cans (just enough to break the seal) and hid them in the back of the shelf. We smelled it, but couldn't find the source right away. Whyyyyyyy
Oh my god the dog poop story. My mum and I go for a jog 4 mornings a week for exercise, and the number of times we will see A BAG OF POO thrown off to the side of the path. Like if you're gonna leave it, leave it! At least it'll decompose! Now you're leaving dog poo AND littering. Also when I'm shopping with people in any store, if we're stopped to talk or check something on a phone I am always the person that just like, shuffles my companions out of the way of everyone else. I swear I'm the only person with self awareness in the world. I'm like you guys too that if I'm parking a trolley I'll find the least-in-the-way place for it. And then even if I'm playing on my phone waiting for someone to come back with something I'll still be aware in case anyone does need the thing I'm in front of.
This is the most old man yelling at cloud podcast and I love every minute of it.
I hate it when people do not put shopping carts back as well as when they do not put items back. It is inconsiderate and flat out laziness.
@@loganwoods1590Exactly what I have to go through right now. It's awful
Also, impulse trying to dodge around his and his wife’s X-rated movie watching was the cutest thing 😂🤪
Because like Skizz says, tailgating is SO stupid risky, and she was so nonchalant yet intentional about doing it
Tailgating is so annoying, especially dangerous on roads where sudden stops are common. Scares me soo much when people do it on my commute.
This is just one of those podcasts where you nod along and agree with all of the points made. Imp and Skizz are on the ball as always.
My husband says the little cars need those pop up flags when they're parked so you know the spot is taken lol.
Love the fact that the two lamps above your heads are yellow and blue!
Skizz's "what are you doiiin'" is just great, it is so relatable and it makes me chuckle
I work retail and you would not believe how much food waste comes from people just leaving refrigerated or frozen food in the isles.
@@Werewolf914 I agree with the brights. Drives both my husband and me crazy.
This podcast is so relatable and usually I just roll my eyes to those people but the smoking, if I stay near those people for too long, it just ends up clogging my breathing
This is easily one of my favorite podcasts that you guys have done! Keep up the good work!
Amen on the tailgating! Too many lives have been lost because of reckless idiots who don't think about the consequences of their actions.
Love the podcast guys, we all get to look forward to Fridays for another reason! :)
You're great, guys!!! Love the new set. Really hoping to see Tango soon as a guest. 😊😊😊
People that don’t consider anyone else are the worst. They have no awareness that anybody but themselves exist. Just try for a second to think about how what you are doing may affect others around you and is there any way I can reduce that impact. Great podcast guys.
100% spot on with all of the supermarket issues.
I noticed the yellow white light for impulse and a light blue light for skizz. Great set. Loving your podcast
"I went off on a printer" needs to be in a Hermets out of context video.
someone stole my catalytic converter, i had just moved to a new state and had all the exspenses that come with that, and i sat in my car and cried, im not a mechanically inclined person at all and had no idea what was wrong, so in my mind the engine had failed in some way and would need repairs and i knew i couldnt afford that, it was an absolutely shitty day; and when i learned that another human had made the choice to do that to me, my faith in humanity shattered for a few days
27:49 The Limited Life Finale just came out. Gonna go watch now the come back.
I used to take leftovers for lunch every day to work and one night we had fish. It tasted so freaking good, I didn't even think about the lunch situation. I just knew I wanted more of that dinner and I was that guy that warmed up fish at work 😭
I felt so bad once I realized what I did...
Breaking the TV is funny, but an alternative method would be pushing the power button 😂
Was great as usual… love these topics..
As a smoker I try to be aware of my surroundings when smoking but non/anti smokers can get very aggressive toward me so yeah it goes both ways
*perplexed look*
i like this new set for the podcast!
With the tailgating or poor driving thing, cars are so safe now that people have grown careless and complacent.
Hello from spotify listening!!! I just started a new job and asked some friends for podcast recommendations, and this was on the list, so I've been listening to you guys for the last couple days ^^
i just wanted to make a comment here on the latest episode i listened to, and it's so old that you might not even see it, but i hope you do because you might get a kick out of this XD there was a point in this episode that made me decide "okay i need to leave a comment" and that was when you were talking about misplacing items in a store. for context? the job i just started is the night shift at walmart and my only job is literally finding those things and putting them back where they go LOL so the irony was strong in that moment hahaha
other notes: tailgating! i hate tailgating!!!! my dad wrote his entire thesis on a piece of tech that would warn people if they were following too closely to the car in front of them, so the dangers of tailgating have been DRILLED INTO MY HEAD since i was but a wee lad. so if someone tailgates me, i purposefully drive even slower for 3 reasons (it always comes back to three LOL) 1- it makes it easier to pass me if, say, we're in a one lane, dotted yellow road where they'd go into oncoming traffic to pass me. 2- if i DO have to slam on my breaks, we're collectively traveling slow enough that they likely have a better chance of not hitting me. 3 - it annoys them Even More >:)c
if you couldn't tell, i'm highly enjoying this so far, and looking forward to listening more!!! this is the first of your content that i'm consuming, i haven't seen either of your minecraft content beyond cameos in the life series, but i'm loving this as an introduction to you as a duo and your friendship. you've genuinely brought me close to tears a few times, only to follow it up with laughter not a minute later. thank you guys and keep it up
I never go in public bathrooms bc once, someone bashed the stall door opened and now I'm traumatized.
You can stop catalytic converter thieves by preemptively removing your own so there is nothing to steal! 😁
Gday. From a Physics standpoint it should be a 3 second rule to eliminate whiplash risk.
So many of my pet peeves are down to pure laziness. It drives me mad that some people are incapable of using a bin for example
Yes guys luved this and mark is my hero also.
I always tell myself they just got news that their new baby is on the way and they're trying to make it to the hospital in time.
06:00 Yep, I can relate.
Don't get me started about printers.
I thought I was the only one. You think I'm going slow? Let me help you out
I've thought a lot about this topic and I think a lot of people disregard compassion and consideration. Furthermore, there's just an overabundance of entitlement. It's pretty frustrating. To that point, I think it breeds itself by way of making people give up and take the "if you can't beat em, join em" approach.
This is a good one! Love em all but still
First tailgating: the car behind the first car saves on gas. They use less gas. Second: the lead car uses more gas. Third: its dangerous.
Whyyyyyyy
Loving the new set up
Oh my god the dog poop story.
