- This week we set out to discover whether or not a Magnum XL condom filled with water could protect an iPhone 6 from a 100 FT drop. I figured out what you shouldn't do if you don't want to pop a condom and also discovered how much water a condom can actually hold.

a tip i got from my chemistry teacher, if you drop your phone in water, drop it down in a glass of alchohol (ethanol) let it be for a min or two, then put it in some rice or foam pellets and let it dry (why alcohol cause it replaces the water and it vaporizes faster than water)

Under normal circumstances the phone could sit in water for hours, as said in the video. But from this drop, the water pressure created from the impact caused water damage.

Yea sadly he probably through it away. If you screw off the top screen and unplug the lcd and make sure it's completely dry then stick the phone and screen in a dry rice bag fully covered for about 2 days. It should be completely dry then. If it doesn't work something was damaged.
