National flags are nationalism. Only serve to divide an ummah that continue to divide. The thing we as an ummah are missing most is unity. Flags are a hindrance.
@@yibambe356 well, nothing wrong with flags per se as they act as markers to identify countries etc. However, one mustn’t have pride in carrying the flag of their country which is in effect a mark or an indication of patriotism and nationalism. Islam, does away with such isms which are a cause of disunity, as you correctly state. The only banner one should be united upon or under is the banner of “La illah ha illallah” meaning “There is no God but Allah SWT and the Messenger Muhammad SAW is His final messenger.” This is the statement that should be enshrined and imprinted in the hearts and minds of the Muslims. The former part of the declaration is negation and the latter is a statement of affirmation, alluding to belief in Allah and his messenger Muhammad SAW.

The level of emotional restraint that was exercised in this Khutba was exemplary. To hold back all that emotion must have been a mammoth task. May allah give you more sabr and the ability to continue being a beacon of light for us people. May Allah make it easy for those that are suffering. Ameen. 🤲🏻
