Ritual singing of "Roll Out The Barrel" in Lambeau Field at the start of the 4th quarter of the Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears Christmas Day 2011 game.
They do something similar at St. Louis Cardinals home games. They play the old Budweiser jingle "Here Comes The King" at the end of the seventh inning as basically a warning that they're about to cut off beer sales. I bet when they play Roll Out The Barrel at Brewers games it's a similar warning.
Looked this up to show a friend( I live in New Orleans now) but heard it was Christmas and then he said running the bears away then realized I was at this game way, it was my first and I went with my now passed grandfather it hit me right in the feels. I love you grandpa and go pack go!
My Grandparents had us sing this song when we were little. Used to dance around their kitchen in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Good times! I wish they played this song at a NY Mets Game! Good for you all!
For the convenience of you and others who view this, I have the lyrics and they are below if you want to look them over while listening or sing along. Roll out the barrel, we'll have a barrel of fun! Roll out the barrel, we've got the blues on the run. Zing, boom, tararrel, ring out a song of good cheer! Now's the time to roll the barrel, for the gang's all here!
I love how lambeau always feels like a cozy fun high school game
That's basically what it is
The bitter irony of playing this is that it is the start of the fourth quarter and that is when they cut off beer sales.
ironic.

"roll out the barrel," as in, roll it out of the stadium, we aren't selling more lol.
@@twicethechamps Yep, no beer sales after 7th, and we sing it at 7th inning stretch.
