I disagree. As a jew i say that God wants us to find our journey and ourselves. God will test us throughout it with many things including temptation and deformalities.
If God didn't make mistakes, then why does he make "mistakes" by making people with one arm. Or not be able to speak or hear.
Because God never makes mistakes, but tests for us.
Even at birth he made us possible to have informalities and troubles to conquer. It's not about God making mistakes and making a boy girl at birth. It's just another test that some people have to go through.
And the angel of temptation is not just the temptation of hiding from yourself, your expression, and denying who you are, but the people around you as well telling you to stay hidden.

This was a very disappointing lecture. Don’t talk about it? The discussion is over? That’s a perfect way to confuse kids who were born into the wrong body and to tell them that aren’t accepted for who they are. No wonder suicide rates are so high for transgender persons. It saddens me to hear the unwillingness to accept that some people don’t fit their definition of “normal.” It’s ridiculous to try to shove differences under the rug and not deal with a person’s reality. People in our community deserve so much more compassion.

As an intersex person, born both and neither male and female, I deserve to be included and accepted in faith spaces, I deserve to have an orthodox path to God. I am just as whole as anyone else and am just as loved by God.

That's a deformity. Biologically you are at minimum more one then the other.

People with intersex conditions are still male or female. If you take a chromosome test it will show your sex. Often, people like you are observed one sex at birth, but puberty reveals the other sex, the true sex. You are not both or neither, but one or the other. And yes, God made you this way!

So true! The thing is, with faith spaces, there are different customs and traditions that are done depending on your gender. It's hard to work around that, sadly. But what I will say I have a friend who is intersex and they now live their life as a man as their appearance is male regardless of other factors. They are also jewish

Intersex people have a path because it is a physical medical condition. Transsexual and intersex are not the same. The majority of intersex people are not both but are male or female with ambiguous genitals at birth or develope as male or female at puberty. A doctor can tell you with tests what intersex condition you have.

God made us all, men and women. It is a departure from the word of God to believe anything else. How much more will become permissible? I feel worried when I see these things It's like we are determined to invoke God's wrath upon the earth.

Dear Rabbi. With all due respect, please educate yourself regarding how evolution works. Your comment regarding monkeys still existing just shows your ignorance. Take a note from Albert Einstein while you educate yourself. More important perhaps than IF G-d did it us HOW G-d did it. And a billion years in our experience is instantaneous to G-d who exists outside the constraints within which we exist.

The people on this channel say stupid stuff about science all the time. The fact is they don't know, and they don't want to know either. As long as our leaders continue to be ignorant and do stupid stuff (like say the Rebbe is the Messiah) then Chabad is never going to appeal to any but the most fundamentalist. It's why so many people, myself included, left Christianity.

I think the book of Leviticus says gender bending is wrong and that sex with people of the same gender is wrong, its Judaism. As a gay person, I like being feminine at times, and I like sex with people of my own gender, I am not jewish, I am free, I dwell in grace. But I believe in God, and thank him for creating me and making me a human being, I love men, whom he has created, all belongs to him and all glory be to him.

    *Sex* is a physiological attribute.
*Gender* is a socially constructed concept.
*Identity* is the psychological concept of the self.
The real problem is that we use the same words, man and woman, with confused and conflated usages, to mean all 3 different things.
*Sex:* Homo sapiens sapiens are gonochoric (sexually reproducing species in which individuals have one of at least two distinct sexes). There are 2 sexes, male (M) and female (F). AKA a man and a woman. Identified by the type of gametes produced.
[Either a person (F) that can bear offspring or produce eggs, distinguished biologically by the production of gametes (ova) that can be fertilized by male gametes; Or (M) by the production of gametes (sperm) that can fertilize female gametes (ova).]
*Gender:* Formed through continuous interactions and negotiations among society's members, meant to figure out and determine the sex of *other people,* without the need for direct inquiry of their sex. This is society as a whole, attempting to find heuristics (mental shortcuts that your brain uses) to quickly identify what sex of an individual.
Thus, there can be no more than 4 genders (though there are usually 3), male, female, and "other" (both and/or neither). AKA a man, a woman, hermaphrodite, and unknown.
*Identity:* How *you see yourself* and wish society to view you, as well. An individual's sense of self. Usually defined by a combination of sets of physical, psychological, and interpersonal characteristics that is not wholly shared with any other person.
There are approximately 8.1 billion identities. This is limited only by the number of people on earth. One can identify as a man, a woman, or whatever they feel like.
Sex is what you've talked about.
Gender is us and our society attempting to understand and label others.
Identity is about us and how we feel about ourselves. And we sadly, use the exact same words to describe all three different subjects.

I understand that you are only Gods chosen people to take responsability to bring heaven on earth. That is not a right, but an obligation. Being the example God wants you to be! How can anything the Israelian goverment is doing in Gaza since october 2023 being held as an example of bringing heaven on earth, while it is bringing hell to other human beings?
I'm so so sad of what is happening there...

If someone wants to kill you, you are not obligated to die. In fact, you must defend yourself and your family. Hamas set this up. Israel has no choice. Condemn Hamas and the atrocities they committed. There would be no war if it wasn't for Oct 7. Remember, there was a ceasefire on Oct 6.....
