It looks like you missed this video of mine (possibly the 7 other year end videos I produced)? I highly recommend you check them out! Top 10 Two Player Board Games 2024 ruclips.net/video/JsP79yTvrnI/видео.html
Awesome list! We've really been enjoying Rainbow and will have to check out some of the others. Do you have any plans to do a list of deductions games for the year? Saw quite a few were released and was hoping to hear your thoughts on some of them.
I don’t have a deduction specific list but any deduction game I feel worth mentioning will be showing up on the 6 other 2024 lists I have coming out soon (2x per week going forward)
As a Hearts fanatic I was excited for Rebel Princess but it was one of my biggest disappointments. It felt like Hearts but stopping every 5 seconds to resolve a power, interrupting the flow. If I want a chaotic/event filled trick taker I would much rather play Tournament at Avalon.
Great video. Regarding Rebel Princess. Have you played the 2nd edition? I see Rebel Princess and Rebel Princess 2nd edition on BGG and they are only 1 year apart.
Flip 7 is absolute perfection. Anyone a any level can jump in and play, yet there's juat enough meat to it that I isn't TOTALLY luck based. It's been a hit with everyone I've played with from age 5 to 60. The ultimate "one more round!" game.
I bought Flip 7 because of all the hype, and it was BORING! And my family thought so too! This game should be for kids only!! NO thinking needed! Most of these games on here don't have anything interesting in them! Same old thing!
It's incredibly light and luck-based, but so are all games in that genre. I think Incan Gold is better, but I have to admit that Flip 7 was an absolute hit with my "Uno-only" relatives.
Got a different set of tastes I take it. Legitimately asking: what would be your top card games of the year? I’m leaning more and more into card-only games for game nights because of near instant setup and compact nature. Just looking for different recommendations. :)
It's refreshing to see a list with all games I haven't seen or heard of before. I'll be sure to check these out, thanks so much and happy new year!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I do tend to have different games on from the masses :)
@TheGameBoyGeeks True, you often do!
Looking forward to seing Courtisans in Spain, great video! Happy new year for everybody!❤
Thanks!
I’ve been checking the last week or so wondering when my GBG best of vids were coming out! Thanks and happy new year!
Here comes the onslaught! All January!
Great list. I would have added Chu Han as my #1 game.
Oh wow! I strongly disliked that one :(
Great list, i would add compile Main 1

@TheGameBoyGeeks I appreciate your perspective, I'll definitely check it out.

Totally agreed on Rainbow, it's amazing!
I just wish they added more card’s and scaled better for 5-6 players. For 3-4 it’s perfect. For 5-6 a little too short.
Rebel Princess is fantastic! I think I need to get your #2 & #1 now.
I bet you’ll like them!
Card games are my MO these days. I want to pick up a copy of Flip 7 but it sold out on Amazon. Rebel Princess is amazing!

I could see classic purists having this view for sure. My brother, for example, would have written the same exact thing :)
Oh yeah!! Thanks so much!
You’re welcome!

I’ve only played the Deluxe edition (2024 release from Bezier Games)

Definitely can create some stand up moments!

I couldn’t disagree more, but I can respect your opinion. Flip 7 has been a hit with my 5 different gaming groups.

Pure cards games are my least favorite to begin with. For Glory is exception and is best of 2024.
Awful awful list
