    It's like we see a digital proto-entity try to express itself in the world of your video datastream, like a confused baby with wide open eyes full of wonder.

    One of OPN's noisiest tracks? Other than nil admirari and some of his pure noise EPs from his early early days

      yeah i've known this song forever and honestly returnal has been my least listened record by OPN (aside from ouroboros, genius track) but coming back to returnal recently i immediately recognized it. wild.

      Actually i'm still fighting over if i prefer this, Fourier Ocean Scenes (from Revenants Bootleg) or Physical Memory (from Russian Mind).

      @@bitroast How'd you do it? It's really pretty!

    • @bitroast
      @bitroast  4 года назад +11

      @@lewis1902 i did this just playing around with VLC and exporting video files over and over again using different Low compression settings, and repeating process over and over again.
      i'm pretty sure there's better ways to do similar things. apparently there's free program Avidemux that has "datamoshing" which looks pretty fun.
      a lot of the videos i was doing was just result of playing around with VLC/iMovie.. Oneohtrix Point Never works as a "soundtrack" because his music is honestly so evocative, you can pretty much put footage of gltiched out pixels to their music and it "works". :-)
