The nova s pro actually seems like a decent bot for the price. But avoid the higher end models (omni S and Halo s) for now if you are in the U.S. I just received my Halo S and suffice it to say - I am not impressed. For background - I have been playing pong for 4 years, have taken lessons from 10 coaches, and have spent countless hours training with a power pong 5000 . The main reason I got the halo S is because my power pong cannot reliably do a 2 bounce serve. The Halo S was supposed to be able to do that, and since serve receive is a weakness for me, I bought the Halo S so that I could work on that side of my game. First - while the Halo S can do a two bounce serve - it doesn't do so out of the box. At least not realistically. The pre-programmed serve routines all produce a crappy high ball - which is not something I want to work on. I want to work on the equivalent of very spinny, low, pendulum and reverse pendulum serves. The good news is the Halo S can accurately simulate those - but to get it to work right requires creation of a custom drill and a lot of fiddling with the ball parameters to make the ball stay low to (but not clip) the net. POngbot advertises that the Omni and Halo have a lot of pre-programmed drills. While there are a lot of drills available, most of them have to be downloaded to the device 1x1, and there is no way to edit them or even see what they do (as in, what each ball in them actually is). You would think the drill title would let you know what the drill does - but its often just wrong or so vague its completely unhelpful. For eample, there is a "backhand sidespin receive" drill that has 8 heavy sidespin serves in it, but there is no indication of which direction the sidespin is other than the colored lights on the robot head - which are not explained ANYWHERE in the documentation). Also - many drills have three difficulty levels - but there is no way to tell what those difficulty levels actually do to the ball. And sometimes changing the difficulty completely changes the spin on the ball. Not to mention that the pre-programmed drills all seem to produce a very unrealistic ball. The ball is either high, low/no spin, or god like spin. Another big issue with the Halo S is that there is no easy way to register the placement of the robot relative to the table to ensure that it is correct. This is a really big issue, because the distance the robot is away from the table will substantially affect the ball placement. I followed the instructions and lined the robot up using the catch net - but the ball placement still seems really off and the robot tends to shoot balls off the table or into the net. Hopefuly the company spends some time addressing these isssues, and can help me fix whatever is wrong with my bot. Because if it is working as it is supposed to, I will be sending it back.

I am surprised by your comments regarding the Halo S as well as the Power Pong 5000. I can see that PongBot replied to your issues. Regarding Power Pong 5000, did you consider upgrading it to Power Pong Omega with the APP. I read somewhere that it is upgradable by installing a new circuit board. I have the Power Pong Omega and it does serves extremely well. Also they have the Power Pong RUclips Channel which has lots of advice and good drills. Hope you have kept your Power Pong 5000.
Can you set top spin on the first ball, then underspin on the second ball and left sidespin on the third ball, then right sidespin on the fourth ball and then, right side and underspin on the last ball of the same drill? Actually, can we create custom drills like this?

Not at that level, you can combine tospin and underspin in a row but sidespin requires manual adjustment.
