- To kick off the Synod on Synodality, Pope Francis presided over a penitential service during which cardinals "confessed" a list of new "sins," such as not being synodal enough, using doctrine as "stones," and more. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump disappointed pro-lifers yet again by confirming that he wouldn't support a national abortion ban "under any circumstances."

Maybe the Cardinals should ask for forgiveness for all the sins of leading “ the little ones- children and adults” away from Christ by refusing to live and believe in Christ’s teachings and for neglecting to catechize the faithful on the tenants of the Catholic Church . These are not made up sins but those addressed by Christ in the New Testament.

God forgive me if I am misconstruing this penitential service, but in my humble opinion, I think it would have been more spiritually beneficial if we had witnessed our leaders attending actual Sacramental confession, giving an example to the flock.
