Chef, as you guided in the recent video, we made a menu. We had 2 brioche buns laying around and had just made the marinara sauce. WOW. These Sloppy Joes were a knockout. Not only didn't you use a pre-mix spice bag, but you used no dry spices at all and it tasted more vibrant than any sloppy joe we had ever eaten. Didn't feel bloated afterwards, either. Truly, chef, a special recipe (as if you need another opinion). Love to you guys

I went to culinary school in Europe back in my college days - teacher's favorite 💯 My exam dish to cook was Stroganoff, very tasty but also a complex one because of the steps and ingredients. I still enjoy eating it 25 years later.
That Harisa is a spicy sauce - I reckon you could substitute it with some of that Vietnamese garlic chilli sauce and/or some sriracha for a more flavorful Asian kick to it.
Another trick could be to use some Cajun seasoning for a different spicy taste. Broiled Cajun drumsticks are another favorite dish of mine that I enjoy doing.
Now you make me hungry 👍👍

And you can find several other recipes that use harissa in it such as harissa chicken so you don’t have to worry about not using it. Or…. if you can’t find any uses for it immediately I’m sure harissa keeps well in the freezer for 17 years. 😉

You are truly the best chef. I so enjoy your videos. Thank you my friend. ❤

He never can remember, but he always asks!!! I hope you have a great day my friend!!!

I absolutely have learned tons from your videos. Onyo first! It really is important. I taste that now. I wish I attended your cooking school. I don’t cook professionally, but I do like a good meal. Through RUclips, I feel I have attended your school in some way. I soak up your cooking knowledge like a sponge. You’re a very good teacher.

Harisa sauce is very popular and good!
My masterchef, I am honored that you call us your friends.
Your joy in tasting and gesturing with your hands reminds me of the Great actor Louis de Funès. I hope that as a French you love the movies of your native country! I must say that he and his great acting talent are very popular in Czechia!

My Friend! Someone famous once said "A stranger is only a friend you haven't met", and I live my life by those words. OF COURSE you're my friend! Anyone that can help me become a better Cook, Umpire, or Husband must be my friend, because they certainly are not my enemy. I can taste all of the flavors that you just combined into that frying pan, and my mouth is watering. You didn't include pepper, but that may have been because of the Harissa. Perhaps you forgot, but it makes very little difference because of the heat from Harissa. I've never thought to use brown sugar with a red meat, but I can imagine that addition doing great things! Sweet and heat are very popular with BBQ sauces, so I think it will be just as you said, Absolutely Delicious! I am shopping today, and have added the Chuck, Harissa and Umami sauce to the list. The family is in for another treat this weekend! Thank you for all you do, Bruce

I lost my Best Friend last week. we would go out to our favorite fishing hole and fish for about 4 hrs, have a Sandwich, a beer and a Stogie, and our conversations would always turn to food. now that he's gone, I miss him dearly, but you Sir take the sting out his loss! I'm honored to be one of your new Friends!

Jean Pierre, thank you, thank you for all you do. I've learned so much and have shared your recipes with my family and we all love it. But also thank you for loving America, and for sharing your stories. Great respect to you my friend and I wouldn't want to miss any new videos you share. No other chef is as professional and yet light hearted about they're skills with cooking. You always make me feel that I can do this also! Just wanted you to know...and job well done my friend.

Something is in the detail 😂
    I just love you Chef.
The saying is “The devil is in the detail” and is idiom alluding to a catch or mysterious element hidden in the details; it indicates that "something may seem simple, but in fact the details are complicated and likely to cause problems".

I love your videos, Chef. I saw the title to this video and thought, "Oh boy, Mr. MISE EN PLACE! is going to make this so fussy," but I could not be more wrong. I am really impressed by the techniques you showed to bind all the ingredients together, which makes the dish less sloppy, but more delicious. For me, your videos are all about technique and having fun. I appreciate that you explain what effect the techniques have on the dish, especially when you describe scientifically what's happening. I'm always learning from your videos.
