- George Harrison live at Londons Royal Albert Hall, performing the song What Is Life, Ive decided to put this song right now, since theres no longer a video of this song from this video here on RUclips, so please enjoy! Subscribe in my channel!
Here Comes the Sun and What is Life are my two favorite songs by George.
Same here 😄
Agreed! Can't decide which one is best though
Me too
Wa-wa not.bad
Have to include "If I Needed Someone".
It's a crying shame that there's no proper film shootings of Geoge's rare live performances on the UK soil. For God's sake that should've been a HUGE EVENT to record! I can't believe it.Glad to hear this, though. I thought he couln't reach those high notes anymore.
Totally agreed with you... George didnt record this concert was a shame, it would be amazing to watch
+Li Lise Look at all of the great concert's they never filmed of Elvis, like his 1961 Benefit shows and 1969 concerts, with his return to live performances, and the people who saw the concerts said they've never seen anything remotely close to his dynamic, great and awesome in person performances!!!!!
George's wife Olivia said that George didnt like to have camera crew onstage, thats why I think they didnt record this concert. George didnt want to be distracted on stage.
Agreed his singing is superb during this show!!
@elvicare35 We've gotten awfully spoiled by the Internet. I certainly agree with you that many great concerts were never recorded, but who expected them to be watched decades later.
But you're right.
He was clearly enjoying that performance and he sounded great! Rock on Georgie!!! :)
Still listening to George Harrison during this COVID19 Pandemic

My favorite song 🎵 ❤ of his. I could never find a live version of this before. Love it 😀 😍 ❤ ♥
This is better than his live version in 1974.
So sad George is no longer with us. I'll always remember this song. One of the first I ever loved and one of those I'll always love
May God watch over you George
He did so well going solo .. Talented
That had to be a memorable moment. He was very talented.
My favorite song by a former Beatle. A true masterpiece by a phenomenal musician, brlliant songwriter and a gentleman. RIP Mr. Harrison.
Man this song will be in our minds forever
Great song
I hope we get to hear him sing and play in the next life!!
I had just turned 5 when this event happened. Have always loved him and he was my favorite Beatle and just recently gotten to listen to some of his solo work. This song is most definitely my favorite.
On green Strat playing primary riff is Andy Fairweather-Low, other guitarist is Mike Campbell & on bass is Will Lee.
Missed him so much... *from a fan in Jakarta, Indonesia
Yup, i miss him too
It's so unfortunate that he never got to visit us
(Also a fan from Jakarta)
Great entanterer thanks alot for those times are great
It's a shame he didn't tour more often. What a loss. I wish his friends had performed this song in the Concert for George in 2002. I'm surprised that they didn't.
Maybe they knew they couldn't do it justice? No one could do this song like George. The Concert for George was amazing, but they knew their limitations.
Leonard Frankford there's an amazing cover of this done by weird al in 2014 at georgefest. check it out!
@@muzak29 I wouldn't have believed it. Now I'm thinking that Weird Al is approaching National Treasure status.
I can never understand why some people find it necessary to pit The Beatles against each other. "George is better than Paul, John is better than George, blah blah blah. just stop it, people. They were all great, ok?
Maybe if they only pit the animated versions against each other, no one really gets hurt...
When Ringo joined, they were a complete band, loved them all, proud Ringo is still touring.
BIG OK !
They pitted themselves against each other. Which probably fueled a lot of the greatness both inside the Beatles and in their subsequent solo careers.
@@quad5186 I'd like to see a Celebrity Death Match between the Beatles.
George wearing a rubber batman mask and bitchslapping John Lennon to the mat.
Ringo diving off the top rope and knocking down a dazed and disoriented Paul
then putting him in a full nelson or a sleeper hold. Pinning him there to a count of ten.
An event long over due in this music historian's opinion.
Beyond the Beatles and Into the Thunder Drome 2020
SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!!
What a great song this is.
pure 70's nostalgia and the greatest era in music history regardless if you liked Hard Rock,Disco,Punk or John Denver's Rocky Mountain High

Jai George!
The early 70s were a magical period for George. I never got to see him live. Shame!
If you did he would have appreciated you being there. I know. I still have my 1974 ticket stub. I was right up front and I was rocking out and loving it and he saw me and walked over to my side of the stage and looked right at me and smiled like he was saying “yes, enjoy it”. It pierced my heart with love. He was a very enlightened person.
Happy Birthday George!
Thank you.
Superlative
A Beatles Spectacular ...
For some reason, this performance is much better than the official live version from Live in Japan.
The wonderful Mr. George Harrison ❤💕❤💕❤
Gosh who are the back up singers. They are amazing as well.
My George..!!!!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
👍that’s talent
Too bad the video picture quality is not very good, but it is better than nothing. George was wonderfully talented, funny and a cutie too. Love this song. He was my favorite Beatle. Thanks for the post.
Any GOOD band of musicians can play Beatle tunes, McCartney tunes, Lennon tunes, Ringo tunes.
But....to play George tunes.....you need....THE ABSOLUTE BEST...TOP NOTCH....EXTRAORDINARY MUSICIANS.
best guitarist the beatles had byy farrr
And where are all those great Lennon/McCartney covers?
What he's saying is that while Lennon and McCartney were great songwriters, they were not great musicians. They were very good, but not great. George on the other hand was a good songwriter (not great but very good) and yes, a GREAT musician.
MrGandharva108 , I'm not a musician and didn't know that. Very interesting. Now that I think about it stuff like Here Comes the Sun probably take a lot if skill.
@@leogoodfriend6963 4 years later and had to respond because saying paul mccartney wasnt a great musician feels criminal
OmG😍❤
thank you for posting! George was the only ex Beatle that could perform his songs with conviction and actual feeling. McCartney to this day thinks he is still 21 and just needs to put an act on. And any Lennon post Beatle performances showed he was not any good with out the rest and only performed bs tunes. Ringo only has ever done cover songs and never written anything, he gets wide audiences because of his name and who else is on the bill with him.
Was that Andy Fairweather on guitar? Now there's an underrated talent to use a much overused word but I think for once is correct.
Who are the 2 guitarists and bassist on the video. THe rhythtm player seems like Mike Campbell!
Primary riff (green Strat) is Andy Fairweather-Low -plus Mike Campbell & Will Lee (bass).
gentle soul.......true peace nik.....john could of changed the world......
Ringo Thomas John did change the world along with Paul, Ringo and George
is that eric clapton to the left of screen next to george??
yes
-No, Andy Fairweather-Low ...Clapton & band covered GH's Japan gigs but not this.
I know this might sound crazy but was that Brian May on Guitar? Damn looked like him..
Yep...and Tom Petty!!
Actually it's Mike Campbell on guitar.
@@tomsullivan6032 I don't believe Tom Petty was on that stage, that other guitarist was Andy Fairweather-Low.
Is that Dhani Harrison with his dad on stage?
1992 -so not Dhani.
Was that Brian May in the back?
Nop, Mike Cambell
He has to be related to Vivian Cambell.
Was that Brian May
fender guitars and amps
I hate it when people start clapping. Just shut up and listen.
This shows what a recording studio can create great out of nothing
Mix is way off sad
God this truly dreadful. Undominant guitar & sound chamber vocal. Appalling.
Dios cuantas versiones ay en vivo ❤👍🙏🙏🦶
