Hey man. Just wanted to say that I loved your Dark Souls play though and I'm looking forward to watching you play Dark Souls 3. Rest assured that as soon as I've finished it I'll definitely be coming back to watch that series as you have a really cool style
Nice to see you on Dark Souls 3. Here's a few quick pointers for you: -Ludlith there will be your means of gaining boss weapons, equipment, and spells, and can even give you some older items from the previous two games. You'll get the ability to have him transpose those souls after defeating an optional boss in the area after the High Wall of Lothric. -You can get to those items early without the Tower Key if you sprint at the tree and jump off it at the right angle. Not sure if you want to try it but it doesn't take too long to figure out. -The Master you fought will have dropped his gear back at his spawn point so be sure to go back and get it. He will also be willing to lend you assistance against a few bosses now that you have proven yourself a worthy champion. -There are a few extra vendors you can pick up to bring Firelink Shrine to life. In the High Wall of Lothric you can find a Cell Key to free a man named Greirat who will have some of the best stuff in the game and will run to get more trinkets as you progress the story. For the pyromancer, you'll have to get to the next area where you will find him trapped in a cage. He's one of my favorite NPCs in Firelink and he'll be willing to teach you most of the pyromancies from the books you can acquire (the other vendor won't be unlocked until later on, and she's also the one you can give Dark spell books to) -There's going to be more beings like the first boss there who will explode with a bunch of black puss or whatever the heck that stuff is. A good counter to use on them is fire so it's good that you want to add some pyromancies to your arsenal. Don't be afraid to use firebombs, either. Those will work to stun the opponent long enough for you to get some hits in. -I don't personally recommend this next part since my friend forced me to do it in my first playthrough and it didn't go so well, but at the start of the Undead Settlement (the area after High Wall of Lothric) you can find one of those turtle guys from the opening cutscene. He can give you five free levels in exchange for your smoking good looks, and will open the path to the third ending of the game. A lot of people swear by the ending to be the best ending but given the fact that I was forced into doing that ending and coming up with something stupid that made my friend yell at me for twenty minutes (plus some other stuff that I won't get into because it'd be spoilers) I do not consider the ending to be the best. You go for whatever ending YOU want to end the game with, not what ending people try to force on you.
Thanks so much for the pointers! Just try not to spoil to much for meXD Like tell me about the undead settlement stuff when I get there in video haha but thank you!

When you beat a boss you become Embered. You can also do this when you use an ember Embering up increases your health until you die. It also makes you online to players and invasions.
enjoy the journey, wish I could experience the DS3 for the first time. It probably is my favourite FS dark fantasy game. More compact then ER, but super awesome overall.
If you go out to the too right of the shrine from the entrance you can use a tree to jump onto the roof of firelink and you'll find a door leading to picklepea and pumparum the trading birds and trade for an estus shard Also by the nest is a fake wall leading to a drop for the covetous serpent ring
Unless you still want loredumps like i did with ds 2 i will fokus on your questions instead of all lore that comes to my mind. if you want detailed Lore i recomend Vatis lore videos. they should cover all. Beware the Weapon skill drains your fp (mana/bluebar under health and can be read in the Weapon info (y in inventory). You are on fire because you are embered. this happens if you kill a boss or use an ember. it gives you more max hp but you can be invaded by players and npcs. if not active(after death) you can not be invaded by players or npcs. one can actually jump over the three on the roof (close to tower door) but this is considered a cheese by some
dual wielding in this game is different. You can do it, but only with certain preset weapons that have the "abillity" to be dual wielded (things like dual scimitars, a pair of daggers... stuff like that) Also, you can read the full info/lore of the intems pressing the X on the menu of each item. And keep using the "talk" option with every NPC every time you can, as many quest progress only when doing that.
Not a chance. He got convinced early that all forms of magic are effectively cheating in elden ring even though in some of these games it is objectively harder.
This is pretty much the exact same first experience I had with this game. Got smashed by Gundyr over and over. Put the game down for years. Came back one day, made it past. Eventually took the game all the way through the end, and both DLCs. Went back and played all the others. 3 remains my favorite though, of the three Dark Souls titles. The pacing is just so good. You're in for a treat man.
@bass shields have always hadna physical block number since DS1. A 100 physical block shield blocks 100% physical as long as you dont get poise broken ir hit through your stamina being depleted
Happy to see the new series. You got a good start going on. If you want to try pyromancy you'll eventually need to level Attunement for the ability to equip spells and have more FP (ya filthy cheater :D). Also, talking about equipping; covenants work a bit differently. You find them in item form and equip them at will. No penalties for swapping them as you want. Dark Souls 3 does a bit more telling in its storytelling so lore info dumps probably won't be too needed unless something obscure or interesting comes up. You already noticed Andre and the handmaiden from previous games; DS3 brings it all together for a trilogy. I played along with your DS2 run but got a bit of a head start this time. I farmed for some of my favorite weapons. I am interested to see what you decide to use, not in a "I'm going to judge you" way but more of a "I want to see another perspective on weapon choice" way. Anyways; I wish you luck, views, and enjoyment.
There's actually a hidden path in the shrine link, but not inside, is outside you actually find it there in 37:13, you can make a run and jump from a certain angle to that little roof. You get it and I think somewhere there is a little secret path to the inside. I don't remember if there was another loot. But just for you to know, you can get there, and is a thing someone needed to point out since is something the game won't tell you nor something there's like an actual way to get it, so give it a try next time. Hope you enjoy the game and have fun.
The tree jump is just a skip, but it is possible to get there later with a key. It's a good skip but not necessary as playing normally gets you there eventually
@@GR.1994 It is accessible later, nice for the 1st playthrough to go as intended, but for the 2+ times playing it, it's better to use the tree jump to save time I do as well
DEFINITELY don't want to buy that key until after you've met some characters in a place called the 'cathedral of the deep.' It has a chance to break some stuff otherwise.
Aww helll yeahhhh :D Also....this game really makes me miss the jump button. And beware of fall damage, it is NASTY in this one. The cat ring is more or less required in some areas.
Probably been mentioned, but you can go back to where the katana guy was and get all his drops. Now that the world is reloaded, they will all be sitting at his spawn point (since he fell off the cliff and you couldn't get them normally)
if you ever kill an npc or enemy by kicking them over the edge and you want to see if they had any weapon or item drops, just quit out and reload the game. if the enemy is one that doesn't respawn, like an npc, the dropped weapon/item will always be spawned in a spot before the ledge. this also works if an enemy is killed and drops an item in an unreachable part of the map.
some tips, look at allocate estus flask at andre, yes you can dual wield (there is even dual greatsword in DLC), the shrine will become more lively as u meet more npcs for class spells and side quests, the handmaiden will have more in stock as u give her more souls, use emote with the firekeeper. Also i wanna see what ending you pick, continue the cycle or the others which i wont spoil.
Im watching your ds2 playthrough rn. If you can i also recommend playing the original version of ds2 so you can see the differences. The remaster changed quite a few things and i personally like the original more
Welcome to Dark Souls 3. I traveled with you through DS1 and 2. So adventure awaits. 😊 The blue bar is FP or focus points. You need them to cast spells or activate weapon skills. Your estus is split now in flasks to recover HP or FP. Talk to Andre to change the amount of estus or ashen flasks to carry. Also, return to where you killed the Katana guy to get his loot. And explore Firelink a little more. There might be a crows nest up in the roof... 😊
@@BassPlays902Also, if you search a little you will find ashes in the game world. There is somebody at Firelink who is really fond of those. Give them to her. 😊
Bass, you remember Olasile? It is here, ruined and delabitated. If you observe things closely enough, you may recognize the area when you visit it later.
@@BassPlays902 the thing i love about pyro in ds3 is. if an enemy is resistant to fire you can use the dark pyro bc usually anything resistant to fire is weak to dark. so you can swap between dark and regular pyro
Love how this bookends your DS1 playthrough with you getting parried by an enemy xD. Definitely enjoyed this title for being my first experience with the series.
The Shrine Maiden is similar in the design to the Firekeepers from2, the women in Things Betwixt you were talking about, but Shrine Maiden isnt a firekeeper
been here since the start of the trilogy umu the whole series is basically a story, the first was the start of the cycle, the second was about the continuation, regardless of your choice as a player in it the cycle will continue thanks to the sins of those from the first game ensuring it, and now by the third where many ages have come and gone, many kingdoms rising and falling, linking after linking of the first flame to the point the entire world is now ash from the continual linking of the fire, the world irrevocably damaged by the cycle, that even the lords of past who had linked the fire now refuse to suffer the same fate as before, you must become the champion to bring the old lords into line, and make the possible final choice of the series in a way that reflects how the first game set up the entire cycle, with the most endings possible in the series available to see. You'll see that, the game is going to heavily reference dark souls 1, for better and worst in many ways, also this game was made after bloodborne as well, so its combat is much faster than the other dark souls' games, and this is where they focused on the bosses as the Key gameplay component, making them have grand orchestic music's and being difficult marvels of gameplay fighting wise, so that every boss will be rememberable. you have lots to look forward to which is why many consider this as the Best dark souls' game. I do argue that some parts of the soul's series are lost in this however, focusing on the bosses, and references to Dark souls 1, but that is my opinion, the game is incredibly good even if it's not my personal favorite in the series, it is definitely one of the best games from soft has ever made ever. I look forward to the series finishing the trilogy and you take/opinion on it!
we´re finally in ds3, we arriveto lothric, you will see places that you may recognize, so i´m very excited. i only have 2 complaints with dark souls 3, one is in a zone in one of the catacombs xd.
This game is super dam good one of my favorites to replay back then especially and also the creator of dark souls did not do the story for 2. So dark souls 1 and 3 are made by the creator and even blood borne. He also did demon souls first before any of the dark souls games.
Incase it wasn't clear what the story was narrating so far, someone was meant to link the first flame like usual when it starts dying out but that person decided not to bother, so 4 champions who already did this were resurrected so that their combined residual power might be enough, but they also said no more and left, except for ludleth... who tried to do it himself and lost his legs in the process as he wasn't strong enough on his own. Now you and every other ashen one has risen to bring the lords of cinder back to their thrones by force... including the one who defies their inherent duty. But will you continue the cycle, or break it? The fire fades...
@@BassPlays902 Coming right up XD. Also search for the firelink shrine tree skip. It isn't much of a spoiler and it'll save you 20,000 souls early game.
Alright well you don't have to call me out. I just fell out of my souls mood I swear LMAO. I'm gonna watch the DS2 vids. I'm currently doing my own first playthrough Edit: Oh btw if you want the location for a special ring keep reading The tree by the tower up the stairs. You can jump from that tree roots with a run up and land on the roof. Inside you'll find pickle pee and an Estus shard. At the back wall there's an illusion. Go back there and you'll get the silver serpent ring for more souls. Unequip everything for the jump btw. Weapons and armor
Bass "I might go use pyromancy" Me "Holy BONK" Ps you could have bought homeward bones from the cat NPC in majula Further ps if you parkour off the tree at 37:45 you can get a estus shard and silver serpent ring behind a illusionary wall
Finally Bass, welcome to DS3 🥳 we just hope to see you using some other weapons than fugs man. Maybe try some dex weapons, DS3 has amazing ones or at least go quality (DEX/STR), we know u hate magic. One of the coolest in game swords is quality based (Abyss watchers boss weapon). Also, DS3 has a very active multiplayer still, so prepare to get invaded. If you are not embered, you are safe from invasions! Lot of NPC invasions as well! But if you see a girl with a big ass sythe running toward you like maniac, it's just me saying hello :D
Noice, the start of a brand new adventure... By the way, don't forget to always make a nice gesture for the Fire Keeper Lady, she really appreciates it!
Oh, you'll use the box alright. Once you get a QUADRILLION shit in each tab of your inventory, especially weapons and armors. Shield are a lot more balanced than their were in DS1. Especially the starting ones. They no longer block 100% physical damage from the get-go. Still useful but not as crazy. Also, yes, you did still took damage from that FLAMING bolt. Go figure, WOODEN shield ain't that great at protecting against fire. Also, kick (Forward + Light attack (Flick the stick !)) is still a thing and mighty useful against guarding enemies, especially as you can CRIT them if you break their stance.
@@BassPlays902 Sure hope you remember, you gonna run into quite a few enemies with shield and stuff. A little kick + a critical will save you a LOT of time and effort. Oh yeah, you'll need to check the advanced description to see the absorption level of each weapons (and most importantly shields) when blocking. Also need to read the description to see each weapon skill (or Ash of War if you prefer).
Bass, you don't need to level your Int or Faith to make use of the best Pyromancy Spell in the game. I won't tell you what it is, but I will say there's no stat requirement for it. You'll figure it out 👌 Also, Firelink is pretty empty until you find NPCs. They hang out near the various candles in the Shrine once you send them there. Have fun with the game, it's goated for sure ❤

I will try this lol
No WAY this game has been more requested than bloodborne. Not a chance.
You can do it, but only with certain preset weapons that have the "abillity" to be dual wielded (things like dual scimitars, a pair of daggers... stuff like that)
Also, you can read the full info/lore of the intems pressing the X on the menu of each item. And keep using the "talk" option with every NPC every time you can, as many quest progress only when doing that.
Using pyromancy this playthrough would be a neat way to make it stand out.
Not a chance. He got convinced early that all forms of magic are effectively cheating in elden ring even though in some of these games it is objectively harder.
Ive tried super hard but i dont get the love for dark souls remastered
I already cant wait for you to fight slave knight gael. Tough fight. But damn, such a fun one.
You're in for a treat man.
dried finger is pvp item. smol guy is guy for boss weapons, seed of the giant tree turns npc monsters against invaders if they come in
@bass shields have always hadna physical block number since DS1. A 100 physical block shield blocks 100% physical as long as you dont get poise broken ir hit through your stamina being depleted
Good to know thanks for the heads up lol
I'll try not to be to much of a cheater we are still gonna bonkXD
GO BASS GO! HIT EM WITH IT !!
ALWAYS!
@@ianponce5265 ah, can't remember, it's been a while since I last played this one. I always jumped there as far as I remember.
Now that the world is reloaded, they will all be sitting at his spawn point (since he fell off the cliff and you couldn't get them normally)
well yeah, i had no excuse and im here now.
if you ever kill an npc or enemy by kicking them over the edge and you want to see if they had any weapon or item drops, just quit out and reload the game. if the enemy is one that doesn't respawn, like an npc, the dropped weapon/item will always be spawned in a spot before the ledge. this also works if an enemy is killed and drops an item in an unreachable part of the map.
some tips, look at allocate estus flask at andre, yes you can dual wield (there is even dual greatsword in DLC), the shrine will become more lively as u meet more npcs for class spells and side quests, the handmaiden will have more in stock as u give her more souls, use emote with the firekeeper.
Also i wanna see what ending you pick, continue the cycle or the others which i wont spoil.
I like your content bro i subscribed
Thank ya for hanging out!
The blue bar is FP or focus points.
Thank you for hanging out with me so long! Thanks for the tips!
@@BassPlays902Also, if you search a little you will find ashes in the game world. There is somebody at Firelink who is really fond of those. Give them to her. 😊
Man I love that song and should have restarted the game cause the items of the samurai you fought would appear
I got the samurai gear and thanks!
@BassPlays902 No probs
Also, something apart from the last two games of the trilogy, you can charge your strong attacks, if you haven't figured it out yet
Bass, you remember Olasile? It is here, ruined and delabitated. If you observe things closely enough, you may recognize the area when you visit it later.
Have fun in Duke's archives just hit em with it
You probably felt great when you say all your progress after beating Iudex on the first try. This Is the great things of these games!
Uchigatana... nooooooooooooooooooooo........................
He can get it back, he just has to reload the area. It'll be waiting where Sword Master was.
I got it haha
fire gem is goated, but you find one rather early in a secret area. you can also find a pyromancer early
Thanks for the heads up!
Make sure to bring the transposing kiln to ludleth. You get it after killing an early boss. He will make your boss weapons.
The Shrine Maiden is similar in the design to the Firekeepers from2, the women in Things Betwixt you were talking about, but Shrine Maiden isnt a firekeeper
I think you can bind jump to a separate button in this one.
Ohhh man! The memories flood back! I'm excited to see how you power your way through this journey. 🤟🗡️⚔️🪦⚰️🕯️🏕️
37:23 That jump is doable with sprint jump and right angle (using that tree).
Gotta love dank souls 3
been here since the start of the trilogy umu
the whole series is basically a story, the first was the start of the cycle, the second was about the continuation, regardless of your choice as a player in it the cycle will continue thanks to the sins of those from the first game ensuring it, and now by the third where many ages have come and gone, many kingdoms rising and falling, linking after linking of the first flame to the point the entire world is now ash from the continual linking of the fire, the world irrevocably damaged by the cycle, that even the lords of past who had linked the fire now refuse to suffer the same fate as before, you must become the champion to bring the old lords into line, and make the possible final choice of the series in a way that reflects how the first game set up the entire cycle, with the most endings possible in the series available to see.
Thanks for hanging out with me from the beginning! Thanks for the insight about the game! I look forward to playing and giving my opinions for sure!
we´re finally in ds3, we arriveto lothric, you will see places that you may recognize, so i´m very excited. i only have 2 complaints with dark souls 3, one is in a zone in one of the catacombs xd.
Dark souls 3? Or is it Grey Elden Ring?
The word you meant is: superior
@sephiro2063 personally disagree but Ds3 is pretty dope
Elden ring is just Dark Souls 2: 2
No... Elden Ring is a gold Dark Souls 3
@@edditado5862facts elden ring is ds3 with better stamina recovery and no separate stat for equip load.
This game is super dam good one of my favorites to replay back then especially and also the creator of dark souls did not do the story for 2. So dark souls 1 and 3 are made by the creator and even blood borne. He also did demon souls first before any of the dark souls games.
I'll be playing Demon souls at some point so if ya like this stay tuned for that!
Love how bro gets scared chime off rip and it took me like 10 mins to farm 😂💪🏻
Kings Field after Dark Souls 3. Then you will learn true sorrow and pain.
Finally my favourite DS player playing the best DS game😍
Finally! Time to grab some snacks
IndeedXD Popcorn and cookie dough bites for meXD
@@BassPlays902 Coming right up XD. Also search for the firelink shrine tree skip. It isn't much of a spoiler and it'll save you 20,000 souls early game.
Praise the sun! \[T]/
Praise the sun indeed!
Go back to where you killed that samurai to get his equipments
Dude, your play throughs are a little short. Love your character though, you funny
I'll work on making the episodes longer!
Alright well you don't have to call me out. I just fell out of my souls mood I swear LMAO. I'm gonna watch the DS2 vids. I'm currently doing my own first playthrough
Edit: Oh btw if you want the location for a special ring keep reading
The tree by the tower up the stairs. You can jump from that tree roots with a run up and land on the roof. Inside you'll find pickle pee and an Estus shard. At the back wall there's an illusion. Go back there and you'll get the silver serpent ring for more souls. Unequip everything for the jump btw. Weapons and armor
Hmmmmmm I'll try this lol
Bass "I might go use pyromancy"
Me "Holy BONK"
Ps you could have bought homeward bones from the cat NPC in majula
Further ps if you parkour off the tree at 37:45 you can get a estus shard and silver serpent ring behind a illusionary wall
Thanks for the tip!
Strip naked. Get claymore. Use it two handed and go full barbarian. Armour sucks. Keep your weight under 30% and just dodge EVERYTHING!!!
Fun lore fact lothric is lordran in the future
7:35 you've just made Zoro from One Piece with a mustache.
Just a warning, illusory walls are back to hitting them again!
Oh noice!
DS3 is the best game ever made imo
Noice, the start of a brand new adventure...
By the way, don't forget to always make a nice gesture for the Fire Keeper Lady, she really appreciates it!
I'll gesture in front of this lady yawl keep telling me to do soXD
there is a tree and there is a roof,Go do the tree jump, there is some nice loot there
I apologize for being one of those subscribers who took a break during DS2, but I just can't with that game 😂 I'm sooo here for DS3 tho, let's go!
I forgive youXD DS2 was rough haha
Thanks for the tips! XD
You'll figure it out 👌
Also, Firelink is pretty empty until you find NPCs. They hang out near the various candles in the Shrine once you send them there.
Have fun with the game, it's goated for sure ❤
Let’s gooo!! 😂
“What’s the blue” bro you played Elden ring 💀
It's been a min jeezXD
Don't cheese the katana npc, go back after u gid gud and retry as a challenge, he drops a Katana, they are quite average weapons in this game.
hell yeahhh
"Vibrant Places" you will not find.
I just want to warn you because I missed it my first play through. If you have less than 10 intelligence, you will miss out on sorceries. Just do it before your first swamp and you'll be fine!
