After every project, I clean out the bobbin area with a small vacuum tool. Every year, my machines go in for service. Great advice!! Needles are cheap. I put a post-it note on my cabinet to know when I changed my needle.

Thank you Ken, needle advice was so helpful. I am one who cleans and oils each time I use my machine because now I use Kimberbelle designs I use my machine for WAY over 12 hours a week and often more than 5 hours a day. One must feed our Kimberbell addictions.

I’m scared to death of unscrewing and lifting the bobbin plate and case but because of this I’m going to do it!
I saved this for future use too!!

What causes the 'timing' to go out? I note that a number of quilters on RUclips are adamant that sewing over straight pins does not affect the sewing machine. Most however, remove the pins first before sewing. What does Ken think? Thank you very much for this greatly needed tutorial.
