I just luv your sweet, positive videos. Ty sew much for them. And I luv the Slap Bands! I wanted to share with you a few things that I have learned along my embroidery/quilting journey. When quilting in the hoop, or with any embroidery Design, you do want to check for Rotation after you've checked for Center. You do this by digitizing a Crosshair at the beginning of the Design, and then follow that Crosshair with the Forw/Rev Buttons on your machine… and if your Needle is not following that Blue Crosshair that you drew on your fabric, you can rotate the Design using the Rotate Button on the Machine, and then follow the Crosshair again to make sure that it is following the Blue Crosshair on your fabric. Also, hooping is easier if you put double sided tape under the Inner Ring w/Hoop Template, and press it onto your Blue cross hair, matching both Crosshairs. Then, slide the Outer Ring under the Quilt Sandwich. I have a very long video series on how I did this with my Janome Mb4 Multi Needle. No pins or basting sprays are needed. Here is Part 9. At 22 minutes is where I hoop the Quilt. In my later videos of this Series, I create a "Canal" with the Quilt as it surrounds the hoop, thereby creating even more security. ruclips.net/video/WcKxeEngRzQ/видео.html...
I just received my clear blue tiles. I cant wait to get started!!! And can hardly wait to get my expansion pack!!! Very cool and I love your products!!!
Really enjoyed this presentation, it was clear and informative. I've bought both sets of tiles and will start the runner after I finish my February table topper from another Kimberbell project.
I am so excited about this product! It's ordered and I am waiting arrival. Watching all your videos I can while I wait. But, I have a suggestion. For those of us who are hearing imparied, your background music, however soft, makes it more difficult for us and we have to rely on the closed captions more (which means less ability to watch what yo are doing). Thanks for these great products and teaching aids!
I have and love the Clear Blue Tiles (CBT). I struggled with the standard hoops that I have for my brother innovis NQ1700e embroidery machine to hoop my quilt sandwich. I now have the DIME Snap Monster hoop 10" x 6" magnetic hoop which makes hooping projects much easier for me. However, there isn't a plastic grid to line up the center dot placed on my project from the CBT I am using. What do you suggest I do so I am sure that I have hoop the section of my project that I am quilting centered as best as possible?
I am seriously looking to purchase this Essentials set, but I only have a small 4x4 hoop. The sewing & embroidery machine was a gift from my husband ❤…to get me started 😅 My question: you used a 5x7 for the 4x4 design because it’s bigger so, can this work with my little 4x4?
I just adore the way you use these houses on this table runner 🥰! I can’t seem to find the program with the houses. Can you please direct me where I can find them on your retail website. Thank you sew much. ❤
Suggestion: you are saying PARAMETER (numerical or other measurable factor defining a system or set of conditions for an operation; in other words, variable values eg coordinates on a graph) when you actually mean PERIMETER (the continuous line forming the boundary of a closed shape).
I have to search and guess for the correct tile size in my machine since all I get is the first number of the measurement. takes away from enjoying what I'm doing its time consuming to test and figure out what the whole tile measurement is on my machine before I can stitch. Please do a video of how to use the usb with machine, set up and choosing the correct tile size that is on project
How would you use these tiles to quilt a round object? I made the "Kisses From Heaven" christmas tree skirt and I want to quilt the swirl design on the snowmen heads.
Could you use this system to quilt traditional size quilt blocks and sew those together using the quilt as you go method? Ie. If I have a 12x12 block would I hoop it 6 times with a 4x4 tile and 4x4 quilting design? Finally, can someone let me know what the largest size tile that can be used with a 5x7 hoop (mine has a stitching field of 5.5” x 8”) ?
Here is an excellent tutorial ruclips.net/video/DpXZj745phk/видео.html She shows how to put the tiles together for your hoop size. You would not be able to go over the stitching field size of course, but you can piece together smaller tiles to fill the space. She shows you on the tutorial I linked.
So you have many many loose threads from stopping and starting? Do you clip or try to embed them in the quilt? The instruction about the USB stick is missing.
I watched another video by a different person who said she turned off her cutting mechanism to prevent the tiny nesting and clipped the threads. I’m wondering if this stitching would come loose in places?
From what I understand, you can find tiles and put them together to make those sizes or you can quilt off of the quilt top as long as you cut your batting and backing larger.
the marks of these water soluble pens and even the heat away markers, the marks always comes back later no matter how I prepare and take care of the fabric exactly as recommended. So I do not like to use these markers, also it is a lot of hooping, so I just do free motion.
I think im ready to try using clear blue tiles! Thanks Kim!
I'm so excited to have professional looking quilts
I love those table runners 🥰

What brand of double sided tape is best?
You can put double sided tape on the back of your inner hoop and put it in place and that make hooping a little easier

How do you start a quilt that has a panel in the middle?? Panel in the center and blocks around it??

Will you be creating CBT for the big, big hoops that Baby Lock & Brother have?
Or at least a tile that is for 9x9 squares?
Please. 😃 🙂

I’d love to use the clear blue titles on several wall hangings I did during covid quarantine
This is absolutely genius!!!!

Would a snap hoop make a difference in the ease hooping? Also what kind of thread and needle size works best?
Following!
when doing the embroidery on the aprons, did you use stabilizer? Maybe a washaway??

Maybe get an overhead camera view

Can you do larger than 60 by 60 if you have a table to hold the quilt?
Can you use two different tiles in one hoop?
Kim doesn’t show how you choose the design from the USB. The designs don’t use the same identifiers as the tiles.
ruclips.net/video/DpXZj745phk/видео.html here is an excellent tutorial
What if you have a 5X5 or 7X7 block?
From what I understand, you can find tiles and put them together to make those sizes or you can quilt off of the quilt top as long as you cut your batting and backing larger.
I am CBT binging trying to be expert lol
the music in the background is distracting
How many different designs comes on the USB stick?
Per the website - 372
We can't see the quilted design?
Here is an excellent tutorial ruclips.net/video/DpXZj745phk/видео.html
Just so you know you can not see what was done its not close enough

Much as i like music, it's a little bit too much and distracting.

It’s exhausting.
