100% pro Tip: For water spillages - Shutdown the system/device immediately and make sure to provide an indirect heating like sun dry for a day until it gets properly dry. Most of the time it'll work until there's any residue formation on the PCB/chip inside it. Lastly get that properly cleaned with PCB cleaning agent from a skilled professional as a last resort.

If u cover it with cloth, then there is a chance of protect the screen with uv light and warm area tho water evaporate avthai..

Hi junnu, try placing your laptop vertically downwards making sure that the damaged side to be pushed down(in the bottom) and the case is removed, cover it entirely with rice…leave it for 2 days in straight it should be good.
Getting it repaired is more important. If water is leftover on the motherboard or any other part it will likely cause corrosion and will stop working in the near future. Also you should never turn on or plug it in if you think there is water damage no matter how tempting it is to turn it on.

Sir, it is better to get it repaired or get it inspected once because a same incident happened with me a couple of months ago and I kept it for two days and it dried and worked properly for about 4 months but recently all of a sudden it was lagging and I had to face alot of log in issues and when sent for repair it was found that the motherboard got crash because of the moisture and it slowly decayed to that condition. A general suggestion because we get alot to work to code right, so it's better to prevent it from future damages.
