For the first time in my life, the RUclips comment section has actually given me hope in humanity :D haha.
The most insightful thing this guy said was that we should be more concerned, not with developing technology like the iPhone that distract us into being absorbed by the technology that is unlike us, but with developing technology that is more like us.
So, what he did, at the end of a seemingly thoughtful, amazing and cutting edge speech was to totally negate the method toward the goal he spent all of that time arguing about.
It’s not about developing cutting edge technology and AI. It’s really about resolving the psychological/emotional dilemma within the human condition that prevents us from seeing all of the answers to our deepest longed for questions about why we suffer within the context of being able to love thy neighbor as thyself.

The problem I see with an "AI" robot type machine is that their constantly evolving calculations and reactions to their goals might induce to do physical harm to living matter since "AI" will never truly know right from wrong in their actions to achieve their set goals. They will never have a spiritual impute in their thought process like humans do.
If a computer (conventional, quantum or otherwise) managed to simulate consciousness, what would the difference be between consciousness and a simulated consciousness. Likewise, of a machine that was taught to mimic or simulate morality. What would be the difference ?

He never discloses exactly how they are able to create such advanced technology because right when you think he’s going to say he changes the subject and blows it off like it’s not important but he always loves to reference H.P. Lovecraft and different Occult/Esoteric ideologies. He says the number of dimensions that really exist is mind boggling large number and if we’re smart enough we can reach into those dimensions and extract resources and bring them back into this reality. It sounds to me like they are working on creating synth bodies for disembodied spirits that will are coming in the future.

What would correspond, in any case, to your idea of duration within the spacious present; it is a matter of intensities however. Now the entity is in itself composed of such intensities. Simply for the sake of analogy, imagine the image, a humanoid one, of an entity giant-sized, spread out anywhere in your physical universe. And if the image were projected against a midnight sky, within its apparent boundaries then you would see a multitude of planets and stars. Let these represent moment points. On one hand they are a part of the entity, as your cells are a portion of your body. On the other hand the entity’s consciousness can travel through these. They are doorways within his own psychological makeup, into experiences.
Now the moment points could also represent various personalities belonging to the entity, portions of its own consciousness that it sends upon the journeys of exploration and discovery. It is as if the nuclei of a cell could travel through itself. The boundaries of the entity would be imaginary, taking in as many moment points as the entity felt it could handle.

Reaction: Suppose this guy was tied up with a 10 minute timer on him. I understand all the enthusiasm about science and that you are the one who can make such things work.. The fact is, that you could only get this far, because of growing up in a peacefull bubble. I was similar wanting to know our origins and how all things work, but outside such a bubble. I am sure that the first Religions, that came on our planet, were helping the first people to not have nightmares, of what they did to the neighbour tribe last week : "They are not like us and some bigger thing in that we believe and they didnt, will protect our minds from the daemons in our quantum operating minds.."
In our modern world things are still working like that..

Mr. Rose appears to be on the side of good, but is dropping many not so subtle hints, about how easily AI and synthetics can be used against us. He has to be careful not to violate security agreements, but he repeatedly implied that they already have synths so realistic that most people wouldn't be, (haven't been), able to tell the difference between a synthetic biobot and a real human.

He pretty much said that there are computers/robots that have consciousness. He keeps things very discrete, and he does, but I believe that he's smart enough to understand the power of words. He explicitly said that he wants to use angels (spirits/supernatural entities) of our 'better' nature and manipulate for good, and bad.
People are saying he's speaking in circles, but he's exposing everything in a very politically correct way. The technology is here, he didn't hide anything, people just want everything soon fed to them, but that's not how it works when you dealing with religion, science, government and trillion dollar corporations.
God is real, and we're watching everything unfold right in front of us. It is not a conspiracy, they're giving spirits a body to live in. They're interacting with spirits to try and recreate an infinite intelligence.
