i been playing since 20 without a "timing mechanism" and i always wondered why i was so inconsistent with fastballs. this literally was like a major breakthrough in my mind when you mentioned that. appreciate it bro
That’s so awesome to hear man! I never used anything like that either and once I started using a load for timing, it has made hitting zone so much easier!
just subbed! straightforward and right to the point, no 10 minute video with lots of talking and nothing being said. this is how videos are supposed to be. thank you man!
@@PurityXP update: maaaan what I ain’t never been this consistent hitting atp since I’ve started playing this year , crazy what mental tactics do for you appreciate you immensely dawg
This actually helps a lot bro! Thank you so much man! I have started playing this game like a few days ago and right now I'm off to getting some hits, and I'm really really good at pitching and can throw some nasty balls when I play MLB the show 22. And again bro thanks, this could help me if I'm starting to struggle in the future.
I recently figured all this out trial and error... what I would add is have your dominant eye centered to the TV, and sit a bit diagonal to your handness
@@DrZionth that sounds like a crazy game man!! I’m glad I was able to help you out and that you were able to play such a good game! It makes me really happy seeing people improve their game 😁😁😁
I started paying attention more to the release of pitches after practicing on hof and was able to usually tell wether pitches would end up in the zone and would wait for good pitches, my only problem is if I go against somebody that can locate breaking balls on the corners, or low splitters, when you don't really the follow ball like I do, the splitter is super deceptive
Yeah I struggled with low splitters and change ups for a long time, they look super deceiving even when you track it all the way, you kinda just have to build up a muscle memory.. I’m at the point now I’ve swung at so many low change ups in the dirt I know what it looks like out of the hand and I immediately pick it up and lay off of it. Takes a lot of practicing though 😂
On your tip about seeing the ball out of the hand: I look at the pitchers glove during their windup, then track their throwing hand and the ball. Since this requires a lot of eye movement, should I switch to the pitcher's cap or like you said chest then arm, or just stick with what I'm accustomed to?
If you want to simplify it for yourself, I’d recommend trying looking from the cap to the release point so it’s just two easy movements, it also can take a long time if you have been doing another way for so long. I like looking at chest just because it helps me get a reference of where the pitcher is to the zone buts that’s just a mental cue that helps me!!
I like to hold it slightly raised above the center of the zone before the pitch comes in so that I have a grip on the analog stick and it’s not just sitting there. This can also help with tiny movements in the zone you have to make because your wrists and fingers are already prepared for the movement!
As the pitch is coming in, I slightly move my PCI to a spot I am comfortable with and this is the load I am referring to. It really helps you get your timing down and helps a ton with having better PCI placement more often.
This was my first year playing mlb the show and I started playing on a large tv and so hitting outlier was a nightmare. To counter this, I always anchored my PCI up to hit high fastball but now I have a monitor and even though I don't anchor up I still slam PCI down and get under everything any advice? I have tried everything
Hey there! Now that you are back on monitor have you tried starting with your anchor down the middle or lower in the zone and then trying to adjust from there? I was dropping my PCI hard for a long time until I started with my PCI at the bottom of the zone and really started working on small adjustments at the bottom of the zone. It can take a little time but it helped me out! I’m also working on a PCI placement tips video right now and some of those drills should help you out!!
It can vary from person to person, I usually will just do a drill until I start to see my contact consistently say good or I’m getting perfect perfect and then I move to the next one. I’d say a good estimate is maybe 10-15 min per drill just depending on how much I struggle with it it!
I’m referring to the PCI! The load I’m referring to is I raise my PCI slightly before the pitch comes in to help get me on rhythm with the pitch and it also really helps with precise PCI placement!
I'm going to try this method if it really works I might cash up you 50 bucks because the hidden process is the only thing that's keeping me from being good at this game

Amazing video this has helped me so much
I’m glad I could help you with your hitting!! Thank you for supporting the channel bro 😁
Thanks man I’m playing my friend tomorrow and I need to practice my hitting because he’s really good.
You’re welcome! Hahaha doing this drill should definitely help you play a competitive game against him. Let me know how it goes! 😁
I lost but I hit a grand slam in the 9th to tie the game. A lost in 14th inning 6-7 but I was a lot better at hitting because of you thanks!

I’m currently working on a video just like that so stay tuned! Thank you so much for your support!
These are the greatest hitting tips, I’m almost always late on higher difficulty’s
Thank you!! This drill really helps out if you are late a lot!
I always start my pci low and inside. Don’t know why, it just feels good
Yeah everyone is a little different and has to find what works best for them! It’s cool you found something solid for you!
Thx bro gonna get the show soon

@@PurityXP ah okay. Thanks for the tip.
how do you hold your analog stick on your controller?
I like to hold it slightly raised above the center of the zone before the pitch comes in so that I have a grip on the analog stick and it’s not just sitting there. This can also help with tiny movements in the zone you have to make because your wrists and fingers are already prepared for the movement!
Can you tell me what load means? I hear that a lot but dont quite understand it.
As the pitch is coming in, I slightly move my PCI to a spot I am comfortable with and this is the load I am referring to. It really helps you get your timing down and helps a ton with having better PCI placement more often.

No problem, happy to help! 😁
Subbed!
Thank you so much!! :)
what hitting camera do u use?
My favorite hitting camera is Strike Zone!
What’s your pci transparency at
60%!
how long do you do each drill for?
It can vary from person to person, I usually will just do a drill until I start to see my contact consistently say good or I’m getting perfect perfect and then I move to the next one. I’d say a good estimate is maybe 10-15 min per drill just depending on how much I struggle with it it!
how do you put your pci setting
If you go to the bottom of hitting settings there are a ton of PCI customization options you can do to change it however you like!!
Thanks but I always hit a line drive to the second base man
Yeah that happens a lot haha, try putting your PCI just a fraction lower on the ball and you should see those line outs turn into more bombs!
The load was my favorite tip
Thanks man! The loading is something that has majorly improved my hitting!!
what is this little load you speak of? i thought that was just a animation how can you load left or right?
I’m referring to the PCI! The load I’m referring to is I raise my PCI slightly before the pitch comes in to help get me on rhythm with the pitch and it also really helps with precise PCI placement!
How do I load my swing?
Before the pitch starts to come in raise your PCI slightly to a place you are comfortable with to start to get yourself in a rhythm!
Best video
My timing is good with my monitor, it’s just the PCI placement lol
I had that problem for a while.. I’ll be making a video soon to help improve PCI placement so stay tuned!!

I hate Randy Johnson in Diamond Dynasty I can’t hit him thank you for this
