Stuart was an amazing guitar player...very much underappreciated in his time. I'm pretty sure his peers knew his level of talent but not much spoken about it in the trade magazines..would of been nice to know he got "some love" from the press now and then whilst he was here among us. RIP Stuart.
their inspired decision to not have guitar solos in Big Country tells you all you need to know about Stuart's ambitions for his songs and his lack of interest in the kind of adulation you speak of, but being hailed by John Peel as 'the new Hendrix' is about as cool as accolades get.
Love this, Stuart was definitely one of the most underrated guitarists of his generation. Would've loved to have heard a full version of Atlantic City!!
Salty language,in a broad Fife accent, recalling how taxi driver refused to take him from train station to venue.Just what us young Scots guys were like, and still are.Never forgot his auld arse oor Stuart .Some superb sounds on this.
Wow! They 've played a part of The Crossing, between 5:21 and 6:16. That's rare, because on RUclips I've only see one more live-registration of that song... Somewhere in 1982...
You are Bang on man, imagine if in 2001 Richard J had called Stuart when he was at a very low ebb and said ‘come on mate lets reform the old gang’ ah what could have been eh? With some money in the bank after all those years they could have said ‘f...K the media we don’t have tae prove anythin anymore we’re just goonae have some fun’ imagine how phucking amazing that could have been. I reckon Stuart would have f...g loved it, things could have been different
Hi, there's a snippet of Hurry On Boys in there too. Glad you liked this, I had a lot of fun editing it together. I have more so i think it's time I did a part 2 of this. Stay Alive! :)

+Lisa Knell Agreed Lisa - of course it's been well documented that Springsteen is a big fan of Stuart / BC.....
+Lisa Knell If Bruce is "The Boss", what would Stuart be ? "God" ? "The King" ?
he was our gift from god, gods gifts are few.

Anyway, that's a snippet of Freedom Song - something they never actually played live.
BC1000stars thanks! Never heard of that one!
