Hi..from Tunisia ♡ I heard a lot about the delicuous Suya ..i want to try it In Tunisia , we have a similar snack food that we eat especially in Ramadan. It is made of chicken scallops or beef steak. We put spices : salt + black pepper + dry coriander + chilli + garlic + ginger ( ginger only with chicken ) We put on a crushed salad made of grilled pepper, tomatoes and onions , then we put tuna and grated cheese on it and wrapped it in the Aliminium and put it in the oven .. We eat hot..so delicious..
Definitely learned some thing new today (peanut butter powder) I grill a lot and always import the spices from Cameroon. Now I can make mine. Thank you. I subscribed too
Just wondering, can l use almond or hazelnut instead of peanut.lf l throw almond and the spices into the blender it should come out descent.l've got jars full of almond and hazelnuts, don't want to eat peanut anymore. What is the ratio of habanero and black pepper to get cameroon pepper.Thanks.
Hi Erica, you could just leave it out and use only the other ingredients. But you will have to drastically reduce the amount of salt so it is not too salty. Hope this helps.
When you got to point 03:51 I noticed how you froze a bit. I quickly laughed and completed your sentence as Biya would say... "ONE AND INDIVISIBLE" .... hahaha. Was that on your mind too? Is that why you halted a bit? lol

Can I use everything without the peanut butter? Can’t find it in Egypt?
Yes you can. It will still be very flavorful without the peanut. Just make sure you reduce the amount of salt used.
wow...will definitely try this
thanks
Lisa, please let me know how it goes.
What type of meat is used for the original suya?
In Ghana it is called Suya. Khebab is grilled meat with suya, thank you
hmmm nice one
remain blessed
Nkongho Alice thanks dear.
Please dear, can I use groundnuts in the place of peanuts?
Chiche vera groundnut and peanuts are the same thing just called differently. So yes, use groundnuts.
Thanks so much ❤️
What cut of beef should this go on? I’ve tried every cut but never taste the same as the African restaurant.
Top sirloin steak or chuck roast work well for me.
It would be hard to get the home taste because the meat a fresher and grass feed to start and are mostly roasted over coal not gas or electric grill.
Nice job 👍
Great
My husband don't like garlic, can i skip it
