      I saw the person complaining that it worked only for a year, but I would still consider it a deal as being better than having to go to a laundromat even in your own building. I think a conservative estimate of $5/week to do a load of laundry adds up to $260/year. You still will have a saving if you have to buy a new one every year, plus the convenience. It does require more attention than a traditional "set-it-and-forget-it" washer/dryer but the convenience, space and efficiency of this is worth is. I am considering converting a shuttle/school bus into a tiny home and was looking for a way that I could still avoid a laundromat. It isn't for everyone, but you just have to honest about what your needs really are.
      Thanks again for another detailed video. You answered questions I wouldn't have even thought about asking and offered great tips.
      P.S. you can also use nylon knee-his as filters on the end of the hose ... although you want to make sure it doesn't get stuck in your bathtup drain. ;-)

    I love my little machine similar to this one - it's saved me so much money! I air dry everything on a large gull-wing rack. I invested in a 2.5 cubic foot mini electric dryer... I can't afford to run it a lot to actually dry the clothes from wet, but I at least run them for a few minutes to fluff before I fold so they're not stiff or wrinkled. And both units are small enough they can be stashed in the closet when the landlord inspects once a year - lol.

      Right! Definitely worth the investment! That’s a great idea though, if it works, it works right?(:

    I got mine because they raised the price of a load to 2 dollars, and also because I live in an apartment, and some people think that the machines are their own personal machines and can leave a load in as long as they want. When the machines break down, I am the one calling in for repairs, like if I work for the apartment building or something. I love my new machine. Forgot to add they never empty the lint traps I would empty it every time.

    Hi Great instructional video! I have regular sized washer and dryer but love my portable washer and portable dryer as they dont use as much water and electricity. I find that using a nylon knee high over the drain pipe or whatever drain you use will collect all the fine lint. You would be amazed! You could also put the strainer into the nylon and it will collect the fine lint. Also I found that if I put the washer on an exercise step (found at goodwill or savers) it not only keeps machine off the floor of tub but cushions the sound. The way you connected the type of funnel was genius! I am fussy about getting all the soapy water out and will spin the soapy water out and place clothes back into clean water and agitate with softner for 6 minutes and spin again. I don't use water in spinner. It doesn't get enough soap out for me. Hope I helped someone. I have had my Panda twin tub 5 years and love it. It gets my socks and underwear very clean. Just don't overload washer or spinner and it should last.

      I have a regular sized washer and dryer in the basement but I hate making three trips down there just for a load of laundry. I hate lugging heavy laundry up and down stairs too. I think a twin tub type washer could fit in a spare shower stall I have on the main floor. Maybe I can clean the bathroom etc. and attend to one of these machines at the same time. My basement dryer just quit on me and I have a mini dryer on order and I already have a Panda Spinner. I just have to figure out which washer to buy.

    I'm getting mine very soon from Amazon and I can't wait. I take care of my 85yr old mother and we live in a senior citizen apartment complex with laundry facilities but the problem is all apartments/hallways are indoors and a lot of the tenants don't wear masks. I also won't go to the local laundromat either as I can't risk my mother's health. Anyhow, with that being said, when I was a kid our washer would drain in the utility sink and we kept a nylon knee high stocking on the end of the hose by a rubberband to avoid the whole clogged drainage issue. Just throw the stocking away once it was full. Works great!

    • @neoshazavala
      @neoshazavala  4 года назад +2

      Yes it is well worth it, so you can have a better chance of her not risking anything and best to stay home, so that’s understandable. This has definitely saved me many trips and money compared to having to take my laundry to the laundry mat every-time. Oh and that nylon idea is genius! Some other person mentioned that in the comments as well! I’ll have to give that a try to, so thank you!!(:

      Thank you for watching!(: Happy I could help!! Thank you for that! I do have a few comments also mentioning the nylon sock trick which is still a great idea, but honestly I still use it without because of the TubShroom and draining faster ya know. After some time like once to 3 times every 5-8 months my drain has really only clogged up because of when my hair falls out when I shower🥲🤣 literally all my hair. I’m amazed with how I shed. I’ve made it a habit to try and catch my hair when I run my fingers through with my hands so it won’t run down the drain. That way I don’t get much clogs that way to lol

    I discovered years ago a nice way to dry clothing. I put up two adjustable shower rods in my shower tub and hung up my clothes. I had a nice closet and hung most of my things instead of folding them. i hand washed most things and would have loved one of these machines.

    You can also swap the drain tube to the other direction, as I have so it is on the tub drain side.
    I'm getting a plastic lint trap that sticks into the tub drain.
    I ran my extension cord over my shower curt rod, it is up, out of the water.
    BTW, sweetheart, how'd you sustain a shiner?

      Don’t worry lol I get this a lot!! It’s a skin pigmentation condition. My nephew head butted me 6 years ago on my lap by accident, my eye bruised and the blood above drained down and it lead to becoming a hematoma. So the damaged tissue under my eye has a hard time allowing the blood to circulate correctly so The blood collects and collects, and now has changed the color of my eye permanently until I’m able to get blood drainage surgery or somethin!(:

    Great video! But I found that rinsing in the spinner is definitely way better than rinsing in the wash tub. I just did a video demonstrating how effective the spinner is at rinsing with the water running in. Your hack with the funnel is great and I wanna try it, but I bought a Rinseroo and that works great too.

    • @neoshazavala
      @neoshazavala  4 года назад +3

      Great video as well(: You’re right that spinner is effective when spin drying your clothes and all with getting the suds out. I have used it on my end and my clothes were drying hard when I was doing it this way mainly. But I prefer to not use the dryer side since my tube for the water inlet in the dryer side isn’t really long enough honestly for me to use that spin dryer so maybe I just wasn’t rinsing good enough. That’s why my clothes were coming out not the way I wanted after drying. So thank you for that! So honestly whatever works best for each and every person with different living situations finds what fits them best for this machine, then that’s perfect!(: I’m glad you enjoy your Rinseroo. I’m just trying to help give my experience and ideas. That way people can either copy, or get their own ideas from seeing my idea if that makes sense (:

    I'm late to this party...but 2 things I thought I'd mention. Longevity - I bought mine in 2016....and it's still going strong!! Had a bit of hiccup with the tub not holding water, but found some videos about declogging the hose, and that showed me there's a thing inside (take off the back panel) that can be opened, and low and behold - a paperclip had gotten in there somehow!! Took it out, closed it up and no more leaking tub!! Which is good since the prices on these have skyrocketed!! My model is $100 more than when I bought it!!! But even at today's prices - at $3.50 a load to wash and dry - it doesn't take long to pay for itself!!
    The second thing - which I'm guessing you may have learned by now - you're using too much detergent!! Cut it down by half and you won't have to rinse so much. Instead of half the lid, try 1/4...and 1/2 the amount of dawn you're using. Since you fill the water first - add in the detergent and run it for a few seconds to get it mixed into the water before adding your clothes. One video I watched he fills it about 1/4 way, adds the detergent, then turns it on. Keeps filling it with water and lets it agitate while he adds in his clothes. A great way to make sure you don't overload the clothes and you can use only as much water as that load needs.
    And an extra bit that it took me about 5 years to notice - there's actually a fill line inside. Mine is just to the right side of the filter and I had to feel for the bump before I could find it. Turns out it's the same height as the ridges that go up the side. So don't fill past the ridges and you're good. :)

So hope that helps(:

    You did a really good job showing this machine. I chose a little cheaper one on Amazon ( the Zeny, doesn't have a lint filter inside washer, will use pantyhose over end of drain tube and some type of filter over my tub drain), but I guess they're pretty much the same in operation. Your video was excellently detailed. I'm just hoping I don't damage my bathtub putting my machine in it. I boutht a tub mat at Dollar General so I hope that prevents any damage and helps to keep it from moving around a lot. I will have to turn my machine backwards and use it that way in my tub because my tub faces in the opposite direction of yours in the video. Wish me luck.

      That’s great! A few people have commented about the Zeny and I’ve heard it’s great to! So I’m glad you found what works for you! Yes I’d definitely recommend getting a mat that has enough thickness to hold the machine and give it enough of a space between that and the tub, that way it won’t scratch it or move as it’s running. I got mine from smiths!(: But some good decent ones are at Walmart to.

    • @givemeahappyending
      @givemeahappyending 3 года назад

      Hey, I’m not sure if the Zeny has the same feature but when she turned this one upside down it showed that you can switch the drain pipe so that it comes out the other side. I have the same problem as you. Just did my first load today and wasn’t loving having to reach over the lids to transfer the clothes. Since I don’t have the funnel set up yet I was using a large bowl to fill it with water and with it facing away from me that wasn’t easy. Anyway, you’ve had yours for awhile now but just in case you were still dealing with the wrong side drainpipe thing I thought I’d mention the idea that you may be able to switch the drain to the other side. I’m going to pop a commando hook on mine so I have a clip to hang the drainpipe from on that side.

    I recently got one of those but set it up on my kitchen counter but I see that your bathroom set up is the same as where the sink and outlet is outside as well as the same shower head style but now I might have to try it this way cause it kinda sucks having to use a bucket to fill up the water. There’s not a a lot of videos I thumbs up but yours definitely get a thumbs up from me 😁
    as far as the filter, I already have a hair stopper in my bathroom but as a double filtering process what I use is an old wig cap attached at the end of the hose or I’ll take my old mesh small laundry/bra bag and will use an old loofah that’s pulled apart and put the loofah in the bag and then put the hose in the bag

    • @neoshazavala
      @neoshazavala  2 года назад +1

      I’m so sorry I was going through comments and saw I missed yours, sorry for the delay. But, yes I did I have this brush I found at harmons like over a year ago that I never ended up using but it looks like it would help a ton for cleaning the drainage tube/pipe. I’ll have to edit the brush in my video for y’all I’m currently editing giving this time for me to learn more. But I ended up filling the machine up a with enough water but not a lot if that makes sense, so almost half way full is basically enough to mix water to agitate pouring a little tiny bit of bleach and some white vinegar, and baking soda is what I mixed all together and I figured I’d let it drain out so it cleaned when it’s draining with all the fix and stuff it’s creating and it worked pretty darn well for me, it cleared out the pipe without me scrubbing it and cleaned itself while draining, I let it sit with hot water not to hot but warm warm. Then agitate all that for like 5-10 minutes let it drain and stop, drain and stop. That way it’s having enough time to make it through fizzing/cleaning while draining. And it took a few times but it eventually cleared out all the gunk out on it’s own. I I also soaked the water inlet after pouring straight baking sides and white vinegar in to then let it fizz and then put it hot water in the sink to sit and soak so when I rinsed it with hot water the yellow came out, because it did turn yellow over time with all the water collection and humidity I didn’t think at the time could collect.

    I bought the costway 28lb one last yr I loved my little mini 9lb one I had I used for my sons cloth diapers n it had last 6yrs so when I seen the costway 28lb one on Walmart website I said I gotta get that I was so excited got it n within 4m the seam that holds the lid was no longer holding the lid down it technically still worked but I'd have to put bucket on it so it went to the trash area this totally ruined my drive for these types of machine's frfr 💯

      Oh man sorry to hear about your experience. So helpful in using these for cloth diapers to for sure, that’s smart!
      As mentioned in my disclaimers everyone can have many different types of experiences with the same machine. I luckily scored and got a good one that had no issues. It suck’s when you get a product and it comes broken,damaged, or misplaced but I always look at reviews before I get something. Then I question if I get a bad one of anything from the manufacturer if they build it funky, or the shipper damaged it on the way to me. Because others have great experiences, whats stopping mine? Lol my video on my portable dryer yeah I had to order that 3 different times because the machine came damaged from the ups package handler. So that was fun. But I never gave up, got the machine and it worked. All I can say is don’t lose hope from one bad experience because you may have just got unlucky but try again might score next time like I did with getting my panda tumble dryer for the 3rd time LOL.

      I apologize for the delayed response. Honestly I haven’t experienced that. I wouldn’t know that answer. But I would recommend contacting the company directly to see if you can get an answer/or replacement. Because there might be that chance you got one that’s unfortunately not functioning the same as it should.

    You can get a cheap timer and set it to go off the time you set your washing to be completed. It will solve that very minor issue.

    Quick follow-up: Can you wash queen sheets and full-sized bath towels? Or is it mostly for smaller items? (ie: do you still have to visit a coin-operated laundry occasionally?)

    • @neoshazavala
      @neoshazavala  4 года назад +4

      With this machine I've been able to wash tops 5 towels depending on how thick or thin the material is of the towels and blankets. I just have the light fuzzy blankets I can wash about 2-4 at once. So the towels of course being separate from the blankets, so (separate loads), So I've been able to wash those without a problem but it really based on your judgement once you get more comfortable and familiar with the machine just really all depends on the size and material and how much water weight you think it will be vs if the machine can take the pressure/weight or not. Hope that helps(:

    The one I had, had the drain pump, and it went 2 years before the drain pump started having problems.
    What I paid for it compared to what it cost to go to the laundromat, it PAID FOR ITSELF 3 TIMES OVER. If it weren't the pump type (gravity drain like this one) it would have probably gone for another 2 years, BUT being in my 60's, the idea of lifting it into the tub wasn't ideal. It still WORKED, and even drained, but once the water was gone, it started making grinding noises.
    Yes, I bought a NEW ONE, same brand (but a larger capacity), and gave the old one away to a young couple just starting out. Told them about the grind and suggested the guy bypass the pump.
    The NEW one I got is the 26lb with pump version for UNDER $150 (Temu), and when it dies, I WILL be getting another one, because a simple HOUSE CALL for a repair on a regular machine is MORE than what these cost new!!

    Can you put the hose into the bottom of the tub shroom, and lay in tub instead of the tub drain?

    • @neoshazavala
      @neoshazavala  3 года назад

      Sorry, I hope I’m understanding. But I can’t put the drainage hose from the machine into the bottom of the TubShroom. It helps me to filter since I’m not using the Nylon way since using this TubShroom. But whichever is easier for what works for everyone(: TubShroom filters great to though 😊
