The 90's are very much a sweet spot for road bikes, the manic chase for numbers made bikes into track toys, if you wanted to use them to the full, as time went on. The 90's stuff mostly worked well and had more than enough power for the old codgers that still want to ride them (me included)
I had a 98 and was best bike i ever had...it was a bullet and ive has gsxr and fz 750....not even close to this bike...and mine got stolen....broke my heart
I had this exact same model and colour ..yep hated the kawai green...brand spankers in October 1998 in western australia my first road bike man that thing was the most amazing bike blew my mind every time ..I did over 54000 km on her ..thanks for the trip down memory lane ohh the stories it could tell she was still standing when I sold her 🥲😪😅
I have my 15k G2 in Firecracker after years of recovery after serious leg injuries I found it impossible to manoeuvre the weight of my early GPZs, GSX1100S Katana, XS11 so I needed to try something else & boy what fun it has provided, even after several foot off the peg slides. It will result in my return to my ZX10R at the front of my workshop but thanks to this, I'm flying once again, outwith the fast boys & nobody gives a sh1t about my limp or helping me off the side stand. Sadly it will not remain as pristine, I've already rubbed paint off the frame.

What sort of money would one with only 4000 miles all original factory perfect no rust. Go for today?
Im looking at a red 1997 stock ZX6R and they're asking $4500.
Looking at new bike is so depressing compared to the 90s mid 2000 after then it all went downhill 🤦🏻♂️ Bring back the 90s styling
