I'm a size16 and struggle with clothes because I have an apron belly and i'm only 5'1 but usually with persistence I'll find some clothes that fit my shape well from most places, but never from primark. The best I can get from Primark are basics like joggers, hoodies and oversized tshirts. I know they're a budget shop really so they don't cater well for petite/tall, plus size etc. They seem to have a middle of the road approach to sizing and unfortunately a lot of people fall out of that x
Trina-Louise WOW you have done so well on your weight loss journey, I haven’t watched you tube for a while and yours was the first vlog I came across, I can’t get over how much weight you have lost. You go girl, now I’m going to binge watch all your vlogs I missed xx
I had gastric bypass surgery in February and I'm about 2/3 of my way there (I lost 1/3 in the year+ prepping for surgery and another 1/3 since). I find it so stressful shopping. It is absolutely foreign to me to shop straight sizes. I don't know what my size is, I don't know how to shop for my current shape. It's just a nightmare. Thank you for going into shops and showing the process of looking for clothes when you're going through transitions. It's so good to see I'm not the only one with struggles. Most people only show the results of the shop, but you show everything. It's fantastic.
Shopping "straight" sizes is actually worse than plus size brands. For most of my life I was a 20 - 22, heaviest at 18st, and I got to know the brands that worked and the sizing was always generally spot on. Since dropping down to 13st, I'm now all over the place. In some places I fit into a 14, at others I'm an 18. Even in the same stores I will be a M in one thing but an XL will fit better in another thing. Try not to worry about what the label says and just focus on what fits you the best. If you don't like trying on different sizes in one thing, t's just another learning curve to figure out what brands are smart with their sizing.
Well done Trina for even bothering to try Primark. You have great taste and style so shop in places where you know you are able to find lovely clothes that fit, suit and flatter you.
Try Bonmarche straight leg jeans. They are fab! I wear them with an elasticated half belt. I've been wearing these jeans for years. They stretch, fit well, wash well, look good, and are comfortable. Great value too, especislly in the sale. Standard colours, plus seasonal variations. I have LOADS of pairs. I'm 26/24 and reducing. Try them!
Hi Trina - I agree with all your comments about the sizing & fitting - I am local to you & I always thought the Leeds Trinity Primark was their flagship in Yorkshire however I have been disappointed on several visits - I am a size 18 & have recently lost a bit of weight(dropped a dress size) so my thoughts were that I would have a huge choice - not the case -
I've just found you after absolutely ages and you've done amazing you look fabulous! You did before as well obviously but just wanted to say well done on your journey xx
I've always struggled in Prime Mark. I'm a 14-16 size and everything seems a couple of sizes smaller there than in other shops. I always leave feeling depressed that nothing fits. Lots of love. Xx
Primark are better then they used to be for plus size. Primark sizes often come up small. I have over the last year gone down 5 dress sizes (uk) to a now size 10 the thrill of being able to go into any shop to buy clothes I even shed a tear the first time I went in to Zara and bought something. I went in to peacocks the other day and I still automatically go to the larger sizes. I have to remind myself I’m no longer a size 22 I’m only 4ft 11 in so on me a size 22 I was a large woman
Hi Trina! 🙋🏻♀️❤️✨ Sorry it didn't work well for you at Primark! That's a bummer. You are looking fabulous 💃🏻 and I loved your nails! 💅🏻 Thank you for Sharing!!! 😊 Love, Hugs, Blessings & Sparkles! ❤️🫂🙏🏻💖✨
Hi Trina Louise , I think the black crop top would look gd under a denim shirt left open and the rust dress with the cut out sides would look gd with some rust coloured cycling shorts ,just a thought huni thanks for sharing 🌸💜🌸 p.s pep co inside Poundland have some nice pieces you could try there 😁
Ive had a 22/24 in primark when i had my bypass 10 years ago it was my goto shop , pep&co in poundland is pretty good for plus size aswell depending what your after
They have 2xl in Manchester. I shop there sometimes. Trina!!! You really need to go back for the Rita ora dress and some leggings to wear under it. It looked too good on you to leave. It was super cute x
I chose Primark in the poll because I used to be size 22 (sometimes even 24).... but looked way bigger than you do now, as I was only 5ft 2 at the time. That was years ago and I'm now 2 inches less but size 14 (lost 6 stone). I was never able to buy anything other than handbags or maybe shoes....even pyjamas weren't right. I was interested in seeing what the situation is now, as I have never been back there....and I also heard it's nowhere near as cheap as it used to be. I used to go to the Liverpool one, which I believe is/was one of the biggest.
Hi there! My size and tummy shape is exactly like yours Trina! I’ve had the same experience as you in Primark. The quality of their material and the shape cut of clothes are not good for our shape. I shopped in many shops but I could only find clothes in Monsoon fitted (sale prices) The material and cut is much better but not affordable usually. Please please show us some clothes that do not show apron tummies! Sending love x
Hi Trina Louise, I never shopped in Primark, I'm too large. There sizes are all over the place, so my granddaughter's tell me. How about trying Yours? Thanks Patricia Xx
You look beautiful! The skit is so pretty. Did you have a top tucked into it at first? That’s how I dress and tucked in is mandatory for my job. I’m trying to get used to untucked but I don’t have the courage for a crop top yet. I might try one on and if I think I look as good as you do in the mirror I might consider buying it. But I don’t know. (Laughs nervously) ❤
Hi lovely 💕 I find primark very hit and miss. I’m in between sizes at the moment and it just seems so awkward. For staples like PJS , vest tops and socks etc it’s great . But I just find it difficult being plus size (18) and getting that outfit you see on the manakin to look as good in real life. Maybe one day they will cater for larger sizes Do a yours clothing try on, that has to be one of my go to shops . Sending much love 💕
I feel like Primark sizing (and shapes that the pattern pieces are cut in with skirts especially), is weird and inconsistent no matter what size you are ❤
I love Primark for their oversized tshirts and nightwear as a size 20+ you can occasionally find 2XL but you really have to search plus now they are online so you can check if they have what you want in your local store. I personally don't rate their jeans xx
Well done on your weight loss journey, I went to primark once and two pairs of trousers in my size, when I got home, I realised one pair fi t me but the other didn’t, both 12 allegedly ( when you go, pick up a few of the same item, you might find the same
Hi Trina-Louise I love that color green on you Lots of sort dresses are just to short I never ever find a good pair of jeans for me I loved the boho/festival vibes. But I m more of a 16 for the moment Hugs X
The sizes have shruck in Primark, even my daughter said they have she was a size 10, then had to get a 14, and had lost weight due to be ill, they always had a xxl in the past now normally go up to a xl
I love primark but I don’t love there sizes !! Most of the clothes look like they are for size 8 people !! It really makes you feel that you’re bigger than you are !!! I loved that dress , but like you said it’s too short xxx
I have never had any luck in Primark, even when I was a 12 to 14. I could never get my bust in anything. Swore by them for socks, tights, knickers, pyjamas and bedding. Wendy
It think Primark is really stressful. You are a very attractive woman and I think more tailored clothes would suit you better, but obviously you can mix tailored clothes with some softer styles. Good luck
I think that if u can fit into anything in Primark , especially jeans , is something to celebrate. Their sizes are awful , especially jeans . I’m similar size to you now and they only things I ever buy in their is nighties , shoes and accessories. I haven’t seen your videos for ages and you are looking fabulous 😉 I totally get the need to shop at Primark for affordability etc but go somewhere else that appreciates fuller beautiful figures. ❤
Id say i was an 18 to 20, and its always hit and miss at Primark. If its anything non stretchy then it probably won't fit, if it's got stretch then it might fit. I just get basic stuff there, hoodies and sweatshirts and accessories. I think the more fashionable stuff is made for skinny Minnies with small boobs😂 Your hair looked so lovely, btw❤
I can’t see how any clothing manufactures can produce clothing accurately for heavy people because a plus size persons weight can be distributed in different areas of the body, you may have weight on your tummy with a smaller bust or larger a bust and skinny legs. So a size 20 plus will not be flattering for all shapes and sizes.
I think Primark is really cheep and not good clothing i am a size 16 to 18 and can not get any thing in Primark think its ok for teenage girls only thing i have ever got is t shirts and the odd per of jeans i don't even go in any more 😊
Hi, first time watching ....please please stop saying cute!!! 😮 Primark probably not the best place to try on clothes after such a brilliant weight loss achievement.... 😊 I'd subscribe, but I can't cope with all the 'cutes'....sorry!!! X
Hate primark at the moment there seems to be so little choice and all the sizing is a nightmare, I’m glad you went but think it’s primark rather than you xx
Primark would be difficult if you've let yourself get to a size 30 but at a size 20 kor 18 should be possible. Bodycon knit dresses don't do anything for anyone that size though.
@@user-cathysbd1 Trina-Louise lost a lot of weight after surgery by eating small portions of healthy food. Weight doesn't fly onto a body through magic.
The bright green dress really suited your colouring. I think you should look for things in that colour.

You've lost so much weight and are doing amazing x
I think Primark sizes are awful if you’re above a size 14-16. Rubbish for plus sizes xx
Green is lovely on you ❤

I got a gorgeous gingham dress in a 22 ( I’m an 18/20) and it’s snug but with a denim jacket it’s wearable!!
The colour green of that dress looks nice on you 😊
I've always struggled in Prime Mark. I'm a 14-16 size and everything seems a couple of sizes smaller there than in other shops. I always leave feeling depressed that nothing fits.

You’re not having a bad day! I never have a good experience in Primark. I struggled when I was a size 16/18 and I still struggle now I’m a size 10/12.
It does go bigger in some stuff, the 2xl tops are often a generous fit

Yeah, was gonna mention this. But, as you said, it's hard to find many 2XL's.

Don’t be sad. Primark skimp on their sizes. Their fault not yours. You look so pretty in most of your clothes.
Where is your black tee from in this video? Sorry you didn’t find anything you loved!

I never shopped in Primark, I'm too large. There sizes are all over the place, so my granddaughter's tell me. How about trying Yours? Thanks Patricia Xx
I found a nice dress at Marks and Spencer’s this year
Bright Red size 20😊
im a size 20- 22 and i can get all my clothes from there and they fit me fine
Primark ski!p on material xx
Well done for trying Trina I’ve never been able to get clothing for me there Their sizing is so inaccurate x
Try Monsoon sale or Freemans please. Thanks xx
I'm was plus size before weight loss surgery. Try boden and joules. The quality and fit is amazing.

Primark does a 2XL size in a lot of their clothes, this is a 22/24 size.
I feel like Primark sizing (and shapes that the pattern pieces are cut in with skirts especially), is weird and inconsistent no matter what size you are ❤
I get some items of clothes but I totally understand that they don't do much plus sizes which is a shame.x

It think Primark is really stressful. You are a very attractive woman and I think more tailored clothes would suit you better, but obviously you can mix tailored clothes with some softer styles. Good luck
Primark is for the kids really. I never shop there anymore and im a 16/18
Primark clothing sizes are strange and inconsistent, even with "straight" sizing. Do you guys have Torrid in the UK?
Do recognize😂...always have high expectations and only buy pyjama's or accesoires at primark

No to green dress😮

A fail on this occasion but try again at another time. Sizing of products is not always an exact science unfortunately.
They are not uniform with their sizing
I’m 18-20 but 90% of clothes don’t fit
They could think of us ladies that are 5ft2, loads of things far too long for me
I'm not plus size and I don't go to Primark for clothes, because the quality and fit is awful.
No to jeans and camy

That green colour really suits you but the dress is a horrible shape.
Primark crap don't bother ....
