@@lukecarodrums Every drum company's high end drums sound that good (or better -- the floor toms in this video are not engineered or mixed correctly). DW makes good drums, but their hardware is not interchangeable with hardware from other companies. Even their tension rods are "proprietary". I would like to see more coverage for other companies, especially on this Drumeo channel. There are not nearly enough kits displayed from other companies to show that EVERY manufacturer's high end drums sound good.

In a Dennis Chambers Drumeo video, he talks about building speed by practicing on a pillow daily. I've been working through rudiments on a bed pillow for 10 minutes a day and have noticed a big improvement in my speed and stamina.
dont forget to do exercizes that focus on rebound too! i practice on both a pillow but also on a pad with a decent amount of rebound so i can practice letting gravity move the sticks

Eric is bomb. Not hard tell that even though he's got all these amazing chops he's just a humble guy that just loves every minute he spends behind the kit with intensity. You can tell people whose first love is music apart from the rest.

this was crazy inspiring, i desperately want to pay the drums more but i live with my parents and it dives everyone crazy in the house, also i get pretty self conscious playing the drums because I'm NOT fast and i GET THE RHYTHMS WRONG A LOT but honestly watching stuff like this, and seeing this dude, being so happy just laying it out and playing the drums, it makes me tear up a bit. i need to go play me some drums now, i gotta get FAST

No way man, that was an excellent switch! Not trying to disrespect you're opinion or anything, but Eric actually plays a few different styles of music, not just metal. The Zions to me, great as they are, sound just a bit bland without too much diversity. Zildjian is certainly much better at offering that. Too each his own then.

Hey so these combos are amazing I've been playing 2/2 and 4/2 for ever and I'm good at them, and I've been practicing the 3/1 1/1 ect and other combos but what I find difficult isn't doing them but combining them

+Nicholas MaGee Are you familiar with linear fills? That's a logical next step for applying 2/2, 4/2 and basically any combinations. Mike's Lessons has a good book on it and I'm sure Drumeo has covered it to some degree.
