Btw here my recipe for the cup one, for more than one year now, two to three cups a day: a little more water (I use hard water, i don't like it with soft water!) than the marking indicates (ca. 335ml), grind a little finer than usual filter grind, 16,5-17g of beans. Filters white Melitta 102, perfect fit, because they are a little bit higher and almost reach the inside of the machine's lid so no spraying out there while brewing (esp. at the beginning); also a little bit more security, if the hole gets stuck, the 102 takes all the water in an emergency case (have had it once)! Works fine also with good espresso beans, btw! Even dark long time roasts, some of those needing just a little bit more beans, up to 18,5-19g... (EDIT december 2020: Don't know why, but by now I'm at 14 to 16 grams of beans. For my taste so the flavours come through better, without the coffee being too thin and watery.) (EDIT 2021: Totally rversed my recipe after trying one of my favorite beans out of my roaster's Moccamaster - much clearer and fruitier. Now I'm at 23g of beans (mostly light roasts) and a grind a bit coarser than standard filter grind.)
@@raider52cg It's no problem to use that much water, but you'll have to find a recipe for that. Probably it's good to use a coarser grind then, so that the brewing time doesn't get too long...
I love mine but the only thing I wish they would make a replacement for the filter funnel. If just one tiny crum gets past the filter it quickly turns into a messy nightmare. It could be a cheap and easy fix but it seems Moccamaster doesn't want to even try.
This hole has to be so tiny to assure the water doesn't run through too fast. It's absolutely essential for the taste of the coffe - so you have to deal with it and be very careful when filling the coffee into the filter and cleaning the filter afterwards.
@@meichvomdeich I’m not saying they need more holes it’s the placement of the hole. If they brought the top ring of the hole up just a little mounded like other manufacturers do it would greatly reduce the chances of getting plugged. Like I said it’s a simple cheap fix in the design.
Hi thanks for the vid🙂 I have a Delonghi 15250 (It is one of the models with aroma button. It is around half price of yours). Do you think it worths the spending, if I buy a Moccamaster Cup One?
Great, like good hand filtered. And yes, it's volcano style, not flat style brewing, and it's probably intentional, because the initial splash (which builds the volcano) is surely feature, not bug...
Long time waiting for the cofee cup

Sounds like an obscene phone call.
Boah, diese Atemgeräusche. 🤯

I am using 20 grams of light roast coffee with 330ml of water. Perfect!
What the most water you think you can use? I'm was really hoping to get at least 12oz

@@Christopher29m Oh, yes, that would indeed be a clever detail change...
