Steve is the reason I do what I do. I take a lot of inspiration in his work, and I've been striving to follow in his footsteps as I try to grow my channel, talking about my favorite team. I'm just a casual hockey fan but Dangle and SDPN has totally reeled me in because it reminds me of chatting with my old friends. We were each smart in our own ways. But I have zero hockey intelligence. So I'd just sit back and listen and be fascinated that we all watched the same game although they seemed to pick out so many more details about it than I could. The older network sport TV version of this had its flow interrupted so often that the conversations tended to end abruptly without consensus. But most of my hockey conversations among friends ended up with some sort of consensus and appreciation for the other party's opinion, which Dangle/SDPN has and which I didn't think I'd appreciate as much as I do. It's so refreshing in 2024, particularly online.

huge fan of the Montreal Canadian and for some reason, I am hooked to Steve. He is great with his two partner in crime: Jesse Blake and Adam Wylde! Let's go!
I first came across Steve during the 07-08, 08-09 seasons. One of my hockey friends on the NHL's now dead fan message board "connect" had recommended that everyone check him out. Even at that starting point you could tell his passion was going to really take off in some way or form.
When Steve talked about looking up at a burnt lightbulb and realizing it was his job as a boss to change that bulb it reminded me of my little brother. My father started a mechanical contracting business when we were boys; schools, hospitals, apartment buildings...stuff like that. Eventually, he retired and I took over, later my little brother joined me in the office. One day some of the guys called from a job site and told my brother about a problem they were having that they couldn't figure out. My brother turned to me and asked me who we could call for an answer and I had to break it to him. "Us. We are who gets called. There is no one else. We will have to just figure it out." He looked at me slightly alarmed as he realized that all the decisions he had been requesting from the office for the past while had been made by me. "Every time? We have to solve every problem?" I just nodded. Sometimes you just have to figure it out. It becomes a mindset. Not that you know everything, just that you do not automatically look for someone else when a problem arises, before at least taking a shot yourself.
Seems like a good podcast guys, you should look into slicing up your video into topics you can click through though. 13 minutes before Steve gets on camera while using him as your centerpiece of the episode is a great way to not retain viewers! Good sports personalities and coverages don’t just nurture fans, they create them. I’m NOT a leaf’s fan, but I watch a lot of SDPN because I like him and I used to like Steve’s dang it’s/hat picks.
I watch Steve Dangle and enjoy the comical nature of his suffering. It's like watching Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and Ace is dancing with a spear in each leg while the Wahtutu laugh at him. "The chief say he find you funny, so he let you live"😂
Poor Steve.... he's a victim of popular culture, professional expectations, and an addiction to get rich before 60 not-so-quick self help videos. The good news is.... Steve is killing those videos. He's managed to break the mold. Now that he's free to infect his Leaf fandom upon the masses without check. How many people will we have to deal with screeching in high pitch notes that just make our skins crawl? Oh it's just Steve..., and friends. *shiver* In all seriousness Steve Dangle has built a budding entertainment network that Sportsnet might have to buy out sooner rather than later. Who owns Sportsnet? Is it Rogers or Bell? If it's Rogers... look out. SDPN might show up and buy you in ten years. There you go Steve. I have more confidence in you than you have in John Tavares.
Holy Shit best analyst perspective. The gains don't go up in a straight line. That was Bitcoin for me. Peaks and valleys. You make it because you have a solid foundation. With family and experience and those things are a privilege no doubt.
Doesn't know Princess Diaries? That's the movie Steve was talking about with Anne Hathaway lol. Well, now you have to watch it. If it helps, I believe the lead singer of Rooney plays her love interest in the first movie. 😊
well, if the leafs didn't leaf that year and choke away their 3-1 series lead, he wouldn't have had to do that. the habs made the finals that year. the leafs haven't done that since the league had 6 teams.

Interesting theme for a podcast. (SUBBED)
Hey Joe! Very cool that you got Steve on the channel. You guys are both inspirational
Thanks so much!
He does not bs, he craps on the team if they need it and he pumps up the team when they are doing well
I love dangle and his LFR’s
F sportsnet
Love the moving blanket table cloth, they are well made and so flexible, I'm getting a red one from the garage for Christmas dinner. 🤣
Rooting for y’all. Get on that youtube short and tiktok game to get more followers! Subscribed boys
Love your work
Great job. Look forward to seeing more of you all together
The SDPN and Locked On Senators got me through 2020!
Hate the leafs but will always tune in to hear Steve!
Great pod. Subscribed to see your future work.
Thank you!!!
NEVER FORGET, The Beetles didn't tour. That's why they could put out so many albums in a short time.
They released 7 albums in 4 years before they stopped touring. They released 5 albums in 4 years after they stopped touring.
Love steve referencing the princess diaries.
Steve saying he doesn't know why people listen... That is why we listen. 🤣
Great audio. What studio is this?
рад видеть, Стив, что ты в хорошой форме, не бросай заниматься, толстяк:)
Awesome success story. Love to hear this. As a RUclipsr from Toronto who loves making content and the Leafs this is an inspiration. :)
Good sports personalities and coverages don’t just nurture fans, they create them. I’m NOT a leaf’s fan, but I watch a lot of SDPN because I like him and I used to like Steve’s dang it’s/hat picks.
I wish he'd still do those trade tree videos. They were so cool.
I had disdain towards the kids with dunkaroos too
I watch Steve Dangle and enjoy the comical nature of his suffering. It's like watching Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and Ace is dancing with a spear in each leg while the Wahtutu laugh at him. "The chief say he find you funny, so he let you live"😂
I was at that Barrie vs Windsor game and they are so right.. to the point where alot of people in the front rows got hit in the head with the boxes.
Crazy!! What a time it was.
This was awesome.
these dudes should start a podcast together or something
Yeah, and if all goes well, they can put nice looking mugs on the table instead of cheap tiny paper cups.
First time viewer, great episode.
Ross @ 37:36 I literally thought I heard Mitch Hedberg(RIP) talking.
😂😂😂
Poor Steve.... he's a victim of popular culture, professional expectations, and an addiction to get rich before 60 not-so-quick self help videos. The good news is.... Steve is killing those videos. He's managed to break the mold. Now that he's free to infect his Leaf fandom upon the masses without check. How many people will we have to deal with screeching in high pitch notes that just make our skins crawl? Oh it's just Steve..., and friends. *shiver*
In all seriousness Steve Dangle has built a budding entertainment network that Sportsnet might have to buy out sooner rather than later. Who owns Sportsnet? Is it Rogers or Bell?
If it's Rogers... look out. SDPN might show up and buy you in ten years. There you go Steve. I have more confidence in you than you have in John Tavares.
58:34 that offer from SportsNet just makes the Leafs choking to the Habs even worse
32:43 I believe that's "The Princess Diaries" or something like that. I only know cause my mom watches it. A lot. Usually when it's on TV
Thanks for the info!!
@@YoullNeverMakeItPod Np
I miss "Dang-Its" and "Hat-Picks" !!!
STEVE! SNUGGLE IT!!
never thought id see a dangle and joseph crossover lmao
Here we are 🥹
Holy Shit best analyst perspective. The gains don't go up in a straight line. That was Bitcoin for me. Peaks and valleys. You make it because you have a solid foundation. With family and experience and those things are a privilege no doubt.
Was curious to hear how they brought him back to stream the hab games but sadly they didn't adress it.
Curious, why did you change the original thumbnail. The original one said something like “they ruined me”, curious as to why you changed it.
Steve is my Hero. 🇨🇦🍁💙
Double the likes as the sub count. That's promising!!
🥲thank you!
Doesn't know Princess Diaries? That's the movie Steve was talking about with Anne Hathaway lol. Well, now you have to watch it. If it helps, I believe the lead singer of Rooney plays her love interest in the first movie. 😊
Thank you!
Sportsnet forced Dangle to stream Hab playoffs games. I'd quit too
well, if the leafs didn't leaf that year and choke away their 3-1 series lead, he wouldn't have had to do that. the habs made the finals that year. the leafs haven't done that since the league had 6 teams.
