I've found it for $600, and I'd definitely pay that for these movies. Horror is my favorite genre, and Jason, Michael, and Freddy are my favorite characters/creations.
***** Yeah, bro. I just wish I knew people that I could watch these movies with. These are masterpieces, in my opinion. I did find this collection for $500 instead, so I'll get that and the Halloween Deluxe Edition that I found for $150. Then once I get them, I'll need the complete collection of the Child's Play movies and Nightmare on Elm Street.
I never got this set because of the cardboard sleeves thankfully Shout Factory to the rescue Friday the 13th is getting its first perfect box set and I got it pre-ordered
The new Friday Scream factory Friday the 13th set is a notch above Halloween. Halloween is truly sweet but the Friday set wow just a one notch above I'd say.
Kudos to Warner Bros., you mean. Without them, this release would've been impossible, even though most Friday the 13th were distributed by Paramount, who owns the copyrights for all of Friday the 13th movies is New Line Cinema, a TimeWarner Company. So, kudos to Warner for this amazing box-set.
Very true Michael, especially if they went back to the original camera negatives and cleaned them up properly. I'd love to see a true restoration of Part 3, I think it can look a lot better if done right.
Wow. I don't even know where to begin other than to thank you for the amazing 21 minute trip into one of my absolute favorite topics. Before I forget, if you haven't caught AdamTheWoos channel and seen his location shoot videos (including the recent run through of the now demolished cabin from part 2....so damn sad) you must! He's done quite a few, they're better than average, I think you'd like them. Ok, honestly, you're not doing anything to convince me that staying away from Blu was the right decision! Just wow. Peter Bracke's book is legendary, a fan boy's dream come true. The other book, I had never seen and will be ordering! Thanks for showing that! I'm happy to read and re-read the same tales! The cover with Jason Goes to Hell image and inner shot were curious choices for sure but the inner sleeves more than make up for it, they're stunning! That said, I agree whole-heartedly on the sleeve storage design (when will they learn?!). I've not seen the Crystal Lake Memories documentary but at seven hours, I'd take the day off for it! How was it?! I've seen most all documentaries there are, is there any reused footage? Hard to imagine they folks involved continue to be interviewed time and again to tell the same stories so I'm assuming there's got to be some reused footage? Ok, I could trail on forever and sure you could too, I am absolutely loving you channel and glad we're connected! Keep the amazing posts coming and I'll see how long I can hold out from goin' Blu! - Lj
Wow, what a comment! Thank you very much! I shall have to check out AdamTheWoo pronto, thanks! Yeah, if you have the previous DVDs there's very little incentive to get these. Sure is, amazing book and now an amazing documentary! The other book is not quite as good, but if you're a true fan it's worth looking into. Yeah, some odd choices but some work quite well for the design. It was incredible! There is a little bit of reused footage but extremely little actually, most of it is brand new! Pure interviews with people who matter, amazing photos, it's well worth watching, I'll cherish it for as long as I live! Sure, by now we know most of the stories well, but it's still such a treat to see it, it felt fresher than I had ever imagined it could at this point. Thanks a lot man, I agree! Keep sharing the vinyl and music updates and perhaps I'll go analogue, you never know!
the box sets you see for sale or from fake fans trying to make a profit. no true fan would sell these box sets. im trying to get one and i would keep it till the day i die. thats a true fan.
I'm just waiting for them to have the extended kill scenes in the films. I mean paramount HAS the technology to put the uncut footage from part 7, and or 6 back in. I mean com'on paramount! Go get of your butts, go in the vault and get that footage out!
The footage from Part 7 is in pretty rough shape unfortunately. But yes, I'd appreciate that too. If nothing else I think they should always keep digging and looking, never know what you can find in the archives.
And now the new Scream factory set is out and it is killer, 4K scans of parts 1-4 new lost footage of part 2 , uncut version 2 disc extras , 3D part 3 for 3D tv or 3D player . Crazy crazy, definatly set for life now., i thought the Halloween set was amazing, this set is a notch above tht.
I'm afraid it's sold out everywhere. But if you find a copy of this for sale somewhere, it's Region free (so it can be played all over the world). Best of luck!
If you mean the stuff on the slipcase (at 3:30), it just shows what's in the Blu-ray box: the case, the discs, the booklet and the councellor patch. Hope that helps.
Great set. Personally, I prefer the digibook layout by far. I love how you open it page by page and there are gorgeous photos of each film and the ugly discs are well hidden. I have the Alfred Hitchcock collection which is the same layout and absolutely love it. I want to get this set, but it's expensive! Thanks for the unboxing, very well done.
It's nicely designed, I just wish the discs were a little more protected. Very nice, I don't have that set. Yeah, hopefully the price will drop soon. About time now I think. Thank you so much!
fuck me bro used like new copies are bidding for over 250$ on eBay luckily I found a brand new copy on eBay selling for 280$ from compared to what they are selling for used
Robin Knows Nothing January 13th I decided to look online for the hell of it. (Because it was Friday the 13th). After spending about an hour looking, I wound up on overstock.com and they were selling new for 95.99$. I got very lucky . I'm sorry you spent 280$ but I mean it's worth it for this amazing set that we probably won't see again.
chris devine Oh wow, quite a price! Yeah, it's alright. I've already had a lot of use of this set, just rewatched Part 2 and 3 this last Friday the 13th. Enjoy!
John Miguel wow I must've gotten very lucky. Right place, at the right time. I also found the original Dawn of the Dead Blu Ray at my local shop . Bought it for 10$ and it goes for like 50-100 online
Just FYI...the first Friday was released on DVD UNCUT....yet this blu ray set DOES NOT have the UNCUT version...just the R rated version. You would think blu ray would have have included the UNCUT VERSION....same with Jason goes hell. I think I'll pass on this set. The only thing different from all other Friday the 13th box sets is that its on blu-ray. No new documentary's... Interviews...no new material. Yes...I'll pass! :)
It is cool i just found it funny that you covered it and then you left it on the table for people to see. I recently brought these of a guy on amazon for £150 which is $194.63. The guy put it up for £150 then put it the price up to £250. As if you look in the Uk you can not even buy it in this country from anywhere not even on ebay and amazon. You have to pay like £200 to get it from the US used and other countries used. I messaged the guy and he said if i buy it there and then he would sell it for £150 as i originally saw it at that price. Also it came from the UK so i got it today. Back in the day i brought it new for £90 i think and i sold it used for £60 at the time i was out of work so i needed the cash. These are my favourite horror movies and i really wanted to re-watch them, Though i would not pay £200 for them and the DVD versions suck as i have a 4k tv. So i am super happy as i doubt this set shall ever come up again that cheap :)! I will not be selling it this time that is for sure! .
+Noble3781 Guess I messed up there! Thanks for letting me know. That's a great find! Not bad overall considering how rare it's getting as you said. I can't believe the amount I've poured into these movies overall, but they're so damn great! A must in any real horror collection, and you can literally watch them over and over again. Glad you managed to find a copy!
Now all i need it Crystal lake memories but people want £50 for it and you have to get the version than includes four disks as that one is region free. I really want the Halloween bly ray collection but it is set in Region 1 so Murica only. Which sucks for people in Europe :( I hate region coding all it does is limit sales.
+Noble3781 I completely agree with you! It sucks for us Europeans. But I hope you can find the four disc set or a Region free Blu-ray player. Good luck!
amigo muy buena coleccion, espero siga subiendo mas videos. yo acabo de crearme una cuenta y he subido algunos videos, espero pueda ayudarme e indicarme si lo estoy haciendo bien?
i loved Freddy vs. Jason...that soundtrack fucking kicks ass...also the only reason I liked the Reboot was because of Jared Padalecki. Huge fucking Supernatural fan.
I prefer the remake a little bit, but I hope we can return to a darker, more frightening Friday. It's great that Jared was in Friday the 13th and Jensen in My Bloody Valentine.
Lastkingof33 Oh, I just reread your comment a little closer. I disagree completely. Movies shot on film can be scanned in MUCH higher resolution than most digital movies actually, and the results are amazing. Taxi Driver, Psycho, Stand By Me, Halloween, The Exorcist to name just a few, all look and sound amazing on Blu-ray.
Lastkingof33 In this set, Friday the 13th Part 2 looks damn good for a low budget movie from 1981. Probably because it was well filmed, scanned and remastered.
I've found it for $600, and I'd definitely pay that for these movies. Horror is my favorite genre, and Jason, Michael, and Freddy are my favorite characters/creations.
Yikes! That's dedication.
***** Yeah, bro. I just wish I knew people that I could watch these movies with. These are masterpieces, in my opinion. I got a personalized signed pic of kane hodder
+Zach Pohlman Sounds awesome! Hope you can complete the collection!
+sbcjraid That's amazing! I've only met Ari Lehman and Ted White.
I never got this set because of the cardboard sleeves thankfully Shout Factory to the rescue Friday the 13th is getting its first perfect box set and I got it pre-ordered
Me too, October can't come soon enough!
I got the Halloween complete collection and it's better because it has them in seprete disk 🙂
Looks like a great set! Hope to pick it up in the future.
So does the new Shout Factory release of Friday The 13th Collection
The new Friday Scream factory Friday the 13th set is a notch above Halloween. Halloween is truly sweet but the Friday set wow just a one notch above I'd say.

Yes, that's true. Think I may have said Paramount by mistake because they produced more films.
Freddy vs Jason actually takes place before Jason X even tho they didnt release in that order
Awesome Collection! I just did an unboxing of Halloween collection. LOVE the horror films!
Eric Rimcoski Thanks! I'll check it out. :D
All of the Friday the 13th on 4K baby would be way better
Very true Michael, especially if they went back to the original camera negatives and cleaned them up properly. I'd love to see a true restoration of Part 3, I think it can look a lot better if done right.

Did anyone ever realize that In the booklet the films are kept in,for the original they used the shot from Willa ford from the remake? Weird
Yeah just shows you how little they really care.
bought this box set on amazon for $100 but that was in 2014 saw it the other day on there and now its priced for over $500
Erik sanchez Glad you got it while it was more affordable, they go up in price like crazy when they're rare or sold out.
the box sets you see for sale or from fake fans trying to make a profit. no true fan would sell these box sets. im trying to get one and i would keep it till the day i die. thats a true fan.

I'll be making some videos on that soon!
@@rsolsjo cool I look forward. My set comes next week can't wait.
@@Out-Cast75 Mine may take a little while, a good friend from the States is shipping it to me as soon as it arrives with him.
@@rsolsjo nice, well you will get before Halloween so thts good. It's gonna be a great Halloween for many Friday fans.
@@Out-Cast75 Yeah it'll be great. Plus La-La Land Records CD soundtracks and NECA figures to look out for!
Unfortunately it was expensive. But I don't regret buying it at all. :D
I got all of the movies on HDX on Vudu for 40.00
it's pretty rare now
Interesting that they took away the commentary on part 3! Only on the previous dvd release. so lame
Gabe Solo Hadn't noticed! That sucks. Glad I held onto it then.
Great collection, I wish to have it, but i can't find here in brazil!
I'm afraid it's sold out everywhere. But if you find a copy of this for sale somewhere, it's Region free (so it can be played all over the world). Best of luck!

Gerso Ceza You're welcome!
What's that on the back of what that came in with the green writing is that dvd collection set thanks

Is it true, they're making a Michael vs Jason?
Drum Lucy I highly doubt it, I certainly haven't heard anything about it. But they are working on a new Friday the 13th for next year.
Oh okay.
That's awesome!
David Hinkle Was that the one with Englund? Haven't listened for a while, but nice!
Got mine
Of course part 3 is campy. Their all campy bruh! They all take place in the woods while everyone is camping😀
Ha, touché
hey man just want to know, where do you buy the book? ,looks so freaking amazing!!
You can get it from Amazon, Barnes and Noble or any online bookstore. It's called Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th.
Great video mate. I had to import it from America and it cost me £75 im from England by the way. But it was well worth it. Its just an awsome boxset.
Thank you. Yeah, that's about how much I paid to get it to Sweden. I wish it was even better, but overall I still think it's a great set.
Yeh its a great box set. Hope the Halloween one is as good.
can u get this in the uk or would I have to order it to be brought over ?
Andy Sim It's US only, so yes, you'd have to import it.
thanks mate might do it looks good will cost a bit but looks too good
i was getting desperate, so much time wasted talking bout the tin case....holy crap, i had to skip
Turned out to be a long video, I know, haha. Just like to be thorough.
@@rsolsjo I love you
It contains the Spanish audio Latino?
Yes it does. Spanish Dolby Digital Mono.
Did anyone else notice dat he got the collection of sep 13 and it was on friday:0
Where can I found it?😭
I really want it, I live in Mexico, but isn't available in any store 😭
I'm afraid you can probably only find it on eBay now, or sites like that. 😕
+Voorhees87 😭😭😭. Well thank you ☺️

DarkestArt Thanks! I think it was around $100 or so, don't remember exactly.
The little jason is soo cute
