Tony Yayo, fresh from a national tour with 50 Cent, recently ranked his top ten comedians. Yayo placed Richard Pryor at the top of his list praising him for his standout roles in many films, and specifically highlighting "Superman 3" as a key crossover film for African American actors. But you can't mix and match stand up and movies or TV shows. Stand up is a completely different beast, you have to rock the mic and control the crowd ON DEMAND. Not everyone is capable of doing that. Movies or TV shows is a completely different talent and requires a certain level of longevity. But stand up requires a certain level of RIGHT TF NOW, or you'll lose the crowd and aren't gonna give af how funny you were yesterday or 5 years ago. That's why you can't mix and match the comparisons. And how did we get almost 5 minutes into this clip before we got our first mention of Bernie Mac 😆 ? Bernie Mac, Chris Rock, Chappelle, (one of my personal favorites, idk how known he is with the rest of the comedy world but) Ralphie May, the dude was just flat out HILARIOUS 😆, that's 4. Idk who I would go 5th. I was never big on following comedy. So my talking on the subject is limited, but I know of who I know of. I'm not deep enough into it to know 20 different names. But Bernie Mac, Chris Rock, Chappelle, Ralphie May for me are the obvious picks. Seinfeld in the TV show atmosphere though that's my favorite of all time. But there's just no way I can compare Jerry Seinfeld the comedic actor to Chris Rock the stand up comedian. I know Jerry has stand up in his arsenal but I just don't find him to be funny, even a little bit as a stand up comedian. His stand up game is weak. But his dry humor and personality in a TV show setting is absolutely hilarious. Mixing and matching the comparisons should be illegal 😆 it can't be done

For context, Katt Williams was aligned with the Diplomats and The Game during the time Yayo said “Katt was hiding behind something”. He was hiding because he was on a diss track with the Game going at dissing Young Gunz, and diss tracks with Dipset dissing G-Unit. It’s so far back in the past that Yayo probably had no idea why Katt was “hiding” at that show.
