Thanks a bunch. Going to look at this exact model tomorrow…it’s used so… I have never heard of this brand and most of the guys around here only have JD or Cub it seems. Now I can do a pre-buy inspection like I know what I’m doing! Sounds like you think the mower is well built, liked the engine but nothing special. It’ll get the job done for less money.
Yes sir. They are good mowers. Simplicity makes them well and doesn't overcomplicate like a John Deere or cheapen so bad the deck/frame is junk like an MTD product (Cub Cadet). Hope it does you well!
These are what you would call non-serviceable. Even though parts are able to repair it the service is possible but completely difficult and you have to remove the Hydros from the unit to do it
Normally it is the belt if your getting a squeeling. May need adjustment on belt tension, one of the idler pulleys is getting bad or the brake is no fully coming off. I don't normally hear noise coming from the transaxle itself on these. Thanks for watching, hope you find your squeeling soon!
Thanks man you have an idea what to check for, ha l’ve same issues right side squealing and very slow first thing on mind was maybe the hydro is going bad, but noticed the de h scalping wheel is rubbing up against the rear tire due to misalignment o got hit and bent the lift brackets, took care of that and it improved but still squealing, now will be checking the belt and brakes
@@josem.2909 Just saw his message because you of your reply, thanks :). I’ll be checking the belt soon. Some random guy driving by one day flagged me down and said my drive belt was squeaking. So that may be it. 5.5 years of squeaking tho…I’ll miss it if it gets fixed.
Greasing is done with a grease gun on the grease zerks identified. You hold the grease gun on the zerk and engage the handle until full. Normally 6-15 pumps on the spindles and 3-5 pumps on front zerks. Non-greasable parts that move can be greased with a good penetrating grease
Great video! Everything I needed including the fact that the hydrostatic is not to be serviced. Thank you!
You’re welcome! It’s not impossible to service those but it is not recommended unless you want to fully remove! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video, just what I needed, you touched on it all, really appreciate your time.
Thanks for watching!

I have this exact mower, with z much needed tune up, it runs and cuts very well. mine has the Kawasaki motor on it though
Thanks man a very well done tune up video 👏
Thanks for watching!!
Does this have serviceable hydros?

I have a simplicity and from the day I bought it one of the transaxles squeals like crazy. Any idea on how to quieten it down?

GOOD WORK !!
Try to...
The simplicity I have goes up hill really slow. Drive belt needs tightened? or replaced?
Could definitely need replaced. Look at the belt and is you see a shine to it go ahead and replace it. This would mean that it has been slipping
You know the stuff man 👏
Everything except hydrostatic filter change and drain (what I needed).
Not on this one just tune and service
Need a video to put the belt back on
Sorry do not have one on that currently
can you show how to grease please?
