I too would like to know the details on the slicer tool. I watched this video a few weeks ago and because of it I went on the search for a Goodell Bonanza. Just purchased one about an hour ago on a live online auction. It needs the slicer tool to be an efficient machine as evidenced in this video. I would like to either purchase a slicer or obtain some detailed photos and or drawings of how it is made and I'll make one myself. Thanks for the incentive to make apple peeling easier.
Looks great! I have an original green Bonanza. How did you make the new parts out of stainless? Mine doesn't have the slicing blade. Can you give me the dimensions so that I can have one fabricated?
A salute to you for the new slicing blade. Looks better than the original slicer that my machine has. Nice work but in original green would have been better. I have several different 'GOOD ell' machines including the Success Orange Peeler.
ok so i should make a video with all the details but for now in essence i made the slicer blade on a water jet and sharpened it by hand i also cut out replacement peeler blades on the water jet. the rest of the parts i made on a lathe and end mill.
Thank you for sharing. You and SM800 need to get together and see about marketing this unit. He can cast parts, he made some for his. On a related note that is what happened to the Chop Rite grinders and sausage stuffers, someone bought the rights to manufacture them, They call them the Chop Rite 2.
Can you give me a round about price on what you would charge to refurbish on of these. I have one with alot of the same issues . Needing part made thanks
@@suvavw the bar that pushes apple off is the main part I need and the part that holds the apple I have the gear that goes on that part but someone welded some things on so had to cut it off
I have one of these machines that I found in the basement of the house I bought. I would love to get it up and running but it’s missing the entire peeler mechanism (rod and all) and the long linkage that connects vertically between the peeler and crank. Does anyone have a source for these parts? Thanks!
could you share a few pictures of your machines with me? suvavw@gmail.com I am especially interested in the machine they built with the slicer on it, I have mot seen how they built it.
What a brilliant piece of engineering and a magnificent restoration. Thank you for posting it.
I love this! You are a miracle worker to get that working smoothly!
I made all the parts for my machine
How can We buy it? How much does it costs?
