I really love the quality vs quantity games.
I am in the middle of a bretonian SFO campaign. the knights just ROFL stomp everything in existence. But Sigmar have mercy when Chaos comes in. You need overwhelming odds with multiple elite armies to take down or cripple even a single chaos army.
SFO really rewards those players who pump their economy and go with excessively expensive elite armies.
I recommend a vampire playthrough, especially a Von Carstien playthrough. A fun unintentional feature of vampires with SFO, once the entire enemy team is routing, you can pull all your troops in and heal/revive them all. Multiple times, I have fought an immense battle, then spammed my heals to recover 100% of my troops and health.
We have to give it to our main man the Graf of Middenheim here to have pulled out, despite him ravaging Morathi. Poor Malekith, as if the fires of Asuryan weren't enough, his mom now gets frisky with foreign lords ;-; 1 like = 1 therapy session for him
SFO keeping me entertained. How about a campaign?
SFO really shines in campaign IMO. Its not design with balance at the forefront but in campaign who even cares?

I love SFO and I feel like the vanilla game should take many elements of SFO into their game giving us more unit variety for every army and giving them more flavour and depth with legendary regiments.
Mr.Min1ster also lots of the SFO campaign mechanics. Makes most buildings so much more interesting...

Boris Todbringer did have a form of regeneration in table top. It just came from the Talisman of Ulric not Legbiter.

It was during The Storm of Chaos I believe. A bunch of characters like Crom and Boris got temporary rules for the event.

Not a fan of SF for Warhammer but I do want some new content aswell. Hope to see something new for several Factions. Norsca aint really my faction but nice to see them back for sure.Some new LL's is also nice. Yea want some content now, TK was really great content hope next is great aswell.

SFO is fantastic expecial if you add in all units mods and skin mods for all other non sfo extra units, Only issue imho is the low numbers of troops, i like more to see my black guard to have 75+ man then only 45 on (top unit size option) with bigger stats, sure is more near to tabletop game but i like more to see big numbers (another good mod to add to sfo is +25% all unit in game hp to make fights longer)

When CA fails to deliver for Months at least SFO releases huge updates that feel like dlc. Best mod for sure
My beautiful Empire got shredded by these CA pukes... My Demigryph Knights (my favorite units, I have a fictional character named Volkehardt Reiksschild I write stories for who is a new Demigryph Knight Sergeant) were murdered brutally. ;[ I'm glad mods give them their teeth (and claws, and talons) back! Love my boys.

I actually stopped using SFO because of that unlimited regen. I had an entire Bretonnian army surround a couple Knights of the Black Grail. Literally sat there for 5 minutes watching the health and morale of those fuckers just refresh while mine were slowly eroded. I know there is a submod that puts the cap back in, but it was really silly.

I feel the same way, I just can't enjoy Warhammer 2 until they add norsca and the RoR units. But I got the Shogun flu so I got that going for me.

I'm fairly certain everyone agrees, but just look at the dwarves, they got some pretty sweet reworks so empire is likely to follow suit, if not if game 3 comes around I wouldn't be surprised to see a larger reworks of the empire if it hadn't had one, simply because of their crucial rule as the protagonists to chaos.
They are only human...
Yet arguably one of the strongest empires that exist, so yeah not just merely human.
online play should be balanced
And currently empire is among the weakest especially when looked at how few it's being played at high level and tournies...

Heres to hoping they revamp Morathi as well one of these days. I would be a pity for Helbron to come out and be super awesome but end up completely eclipsing the woman who she's supposed to be the underdog rival to. Maybe they could kick her Enchanting Beauty skill up a notch. And of course i'm still bitter the most beautiful woman of all time seems to have fewer curves than most VC skeleton warriors.

I love how all the elf models in the game all look anorexic and the game designers are all like "oh that's how elfs look" and then the mage in the high elf start of turn announcement window is built like Christina Hendricks. At this point CA your just taunting us.

But I still don’t understand. Why do dreadspears and bleakswords have more armor than swordsmen and spearmen? Shouldn’t they have the same? I mean, it’s light armor in TT, right?
Tudor Munteanu empire troops have a helmet and a chest plate and elves have most of their boddy coverd it not hard to see why

Isn't uncapped health regen a bit OP? It could be exploited really quick.
it can be OP in certain situations for sure. i doubt Boris hit the regen cap in this game, but there are times with Lizardmen healing, Lore of Life, or Invocation of Nehek where certain units get way too much in a single battle
Vlad already takes three millennia to be killed on normal with a health cap,with SFO the timer must run out before you kill him I'd say
There's a mod that limits it to about double what the base game allows. Makes healing more impactful without resulting is situation where a unit with regen can kite a whole army.
AlexReads how is making healing better a good thing its one of the strongest and most exploited abilities in the game

isn't having both anti large and anti infantry pointless the unit should just have better stats
someone suggested it might just be a flavor thing to make it clear they're good at combating both and make them feel more unique, even if its functionally no different than just raising their stats. i dont know the answer, hopefully Venris drops by and explains
It's also at least theoretically possible that, due to cryptic hidden mechanics in the way attacks and damage are calculated by the game, there actually IS a difference between bonus vs both and just raising the stats... I know large/monstrous entities like Kholek Suneater have different damage calculations when fighting very large targets compared to fighting infantry (against infantry and "small" large targets like cavalry, he deals splash damage that hits something like 6 or 9 nearby models don't remember exactly how many, but vs other monsters and very large units like lords on griffons, he does not deal splash damage and all of his weapon strength is applied to a single hit on a single unit). Since bonus vs stats apply to both the melee attack and the weapon strength stats, it's possible that a bonus vs damage buff applies that damage differently than the base weapon strength stat along splash damage lines... like if the +14 bonus vs infantry applied in a splash across 7 individual models, the greatswords would do two additional damage to 7 units in combat per swing, but if the +14 bonus vs large was not applied in splash damage, they'd get a full +14 damage to the target unit. Again, I'm not sure if any of this is true of the Carroburg Greatswords at all, but just that it's at least conceivable that a bonus vs infantry and large is not actually the same as a raw stat line boost... really, CA should just do a better job at clearly explaining and illuminating how all of their various behind-the-curtain statistics actually impact the gameplay

So am I, just waiting for a revamped Mortal Empires... Right now without Norsca, without the flavor regiments, with broken beastmen, it's just not even worth it, not to mention horrible chaos invasion rules etc.

I'm just speaking out of frustration, since their announcement back in October that they were delaying future updates up until this month and haven't shown anything for it yet is a bit discerning. Maybe we will see some news this week but with the unsuccessful launch of Britannia they are more then likely shoveling out as many patches as they can. Like you said "we need that warhammer crack" lol.
Also to your ...or well the empires problem is not that they are the weakest is that half of their roster is missing, the empire pulls from many types of units and heroes to buff them the basic shit they have in the base game is mah...its like they forgot the yhave other elements to use. That and your limited to only one electors state region's troops cause you know other regions have different troops and what not.....part of why warhammer is boring for me is many units and factions are not in the game and having to pay for new ones and wait for CA to maybe do good by them is just put me off on warhammer am more hoping three kingdoms does more I really do.....am preying and all that cause really total war has been getting boring and ive played the fuck out of it
yeah i think thats natural, anyone who plays the game a lot is gona get bored after awhile. its the new content and patches that can help liven things up again
I hope so...I can tell you one thing...am bloody tired of nords, nord like people and its sucks cause we are getting Norsca but am just burnt out on anything nordic
i think the greatswords should be weak, same with all bretonian infantry. any standard (non magically enhanced) human warrior should be far weaker than a chaos warrior, elf, ork, dwarf. humans are weak in physical strength and our power through should be represented through intelligence and wit. Ie using ranged weapons and artillery and magic.
