I'm discovering this version of Red Rain. Trembling our souls, deep colours of the storm, instruments like a clock orange at the edges of times.🎈🎯(from Jujuy,Argentina)
In 1986 I was attending Audio Recording School and our instructor advised that we could either take a pop quiz or go check out PG at the UN building for International Day Of Peace. We were there on the lawn and it was absolutely amazing. Going to see him again this September almost 37 years to the day.
It looks like he's dodging them. He pulls away from the mic each time. From listening to other live recordings of his, it sounds he's not in optimal vocal form here. Not a criticism, but it sounds like he's either got some vocal fatigue or even a cold going on. There's more huskiness than usual in his vocals, you can hear it clearly in the outro.
@@wrendennehy2051 His voice is always weaker in the higher register. It sounds great on the records, but harder to sing live with power. If you watch subsequent tours, he always triples up those parts with two backing singers now.
@@arnoldmendez710 No, he is messing up it has ZERO to do with any sort of vocal correction. Everyone has bad days, bro. I saw Black Sabbath live and Ozzy had to quit after 50 minutes because his voice was cracking REALLY bad during their set and it was extremely noticeable and very awkward. Black Sabbath still put on a killer set and I saw them again a few years later and Ozzy had his voice back. It's OK for a singer to have a bad day, they are just people like us, they are not perfect and immortal.
What a band, what a drummer, top class
manu katché the top
Con peter gabriel suonano i migliori musicisti del mondo

I remember this night very well. Astounding. The good post Woodstock Woodstock.
This song is so much better with the guitar hot in the mix.
Awesome stuff! What a band!
After the Woodstock Festival 1994, Peter Gabriel is finishing his new album for the end of the year 2022.
Esta cancion es increible. Y los músicos magnificos.... Tony Levin dios del bajo
Dang. Manu is in the pocket!!
Always
You can tell he is in the pocket when he nods his head, he is flying here
Who's the backup singer?
What’s up with not hearing those high notes? Is the mic not picking them up?

This was Gabriel at his peak vocally. Not sure what you’re hearing

This is what even a great artist sounds like without vocal correction. This was raw vocals, OG style.

fist time I hear Peter struggling with those falsetto notes.
That’s not struggling. That’s style
The live stuff he releases is usually HEAVILY overdubbed.
Drummer is on🎉
