Snow Lake
Snow Lake is at 4,877 meters above sea level and it is approximately 77 square km in size. The the Biafo-Hispar glacier’s basin spreades down from the Hispar Pass in opposite directions. That ‘s why it is among the world's longest continuous glacial systems outside of the polar regions
In 1892, Sir William Martin Conway ascended the Hisper Glacier and crossed the Hisper Pass its head.
He named this Glacial basin as SNOW LAKE
In 1899 the husband wife team of Dr. William Hunter Workman aur Fanny Bullock Workman came in this region and speculated that Snow Lake might be an ice-cap like those in the polar regions, from which glaciers flowed out in all directions
In 1937 Eric Shipton accompanied, H W Tillman, J. B. Auden and Michael Spender planned to explore the snow lake, Hisper Pass, Panmah Glacier and Biafo Glacier, because in comparison with the rest of Karakoram, this region was extremely inaccessible, and it was important to take the opportunity of exploring it thoroughly

Simgang Glacier is the main glacier of the Snow Lake
Glaciers had their origin in the Snow Lake
Hisper Glacier, Biafo Glacier., Virjerv Glacier, Panmah Glacier and Braldu Glacier
