this arduino & CNC Shiled can't serve well for such big plot area, as for 3X3M CNC you must need high capacity steppers with high & precise torque there many other professional & dedicated Controller cum Driver boards are available but yes i cant deny the possibility to use arduino and this CNC shield if your stepper motors rating is below 35VDC - 2 Amps then this shield will works well.
okay so you are telling me that if i can get a hight capacity steppers and make a high & precised torque then i can operate them using uno and this shield ? and can i have your number or your facebook to communicate with you and know some useful info about my project ? sry for your time bro and thx...
this shield can only control motor ratings below 35VDC 2Amp, if you have selected your stepper motor check its voltage & current ratings if it fall under the safe level you can use this, my FB link facebook.com/InnovativeMr/
Only if you are using stepper motors that doesn't uses to much current. You probably uses some larger motors, so you need propper stepper controllers. The software can handle it, so can the Arduino. But the stepper controller are probably not suited for those. As marked, they are max 35V and the stepper motor controllers (the three that are added) are only rated for max 2A or so, with good cooling.

One of my motors is running WAY too hot i burned the tip of my finger (the others are running hot too but not that bad) i have a 12v 500mA power supply any ideas on what to do?
This is a great idea, buy you can buy a brand new laser cutter or router mountable cnc 3 axis machine with software loaded for under $300 complete and ready to use! The uno alone is over $400 not to mention the rest of rest of the list of parts that are needed? Sure this is a fun project but not cost-effective?
Note, that not only depends on the A4988, it also matters what other components you are using. Another common controller board, RAMPS 1.4 board for instance, can't handle 35V, even with the A4988. That is because other components are lower rated

im thinking about this project as our Final year project,,,,,so we'll need some assistance.....will the whole project works same, if same steps will be carried out as shown in this video...???
and how codes for 3d painting will be generate...???
@@milindkhamkar Hy, where you able to build the 3d printer? Because as far as I could research there is no way to power the hot end or connect the thermistor with this shield, if you could shed some light I would be greatly appreciated.
Hola Mr Innovative, como configuro el GRBL para esos motores, los pasos y la velocidad, para que no se calienten. Le agradesco de antemano la informacion. Saludos desde Israel
I have made your machine but, now the problem is that the motore will pass the top when I am trying to make some design could help me please.
ola meu amigo gostaria de saber qual o passo e a amperagem desses motores, grato
sir i am having difficulties in connecting mine. i have nema 17 + a4988 pololu driver + 24v power supply( i reduced it to 19.5v) + cnc shield. after following your video i observed that my stepper motors will not move or it will start jittering and anytime i touch the cnc shield that is when it start moving awkwardly. pls what am my doing wrong?
Actually my arduino uno,cnc shield and all related software like (grbl.9,arduino ide9.6,X-loader,inkscape etc) are working fine. But still stepper driver is heated that means they are working fine but I don't know, why do my stepper motor is not working fine.
For x,y and z axis none is moving single distance.please can you suggest me,what might be the problem as I'm giving 12v,2a supply through cnc shield.
have you done this GRBL Settings
$100=5.000 (x, step/mm)
$101=5.000 (y, step/mm)
$130=40.000 (x max travel, mm)
$131=40.000 (y max travel, mm)
Toggle this to Enable/Disable Hard limit
$21=0 (hard limits, bool)
Can i give cnc shield 19v (notebook power supply)?
do we really need grbl shield?
+Utsav Khadka Come and discuss here

Hello,I think I'm doing correct for selecting baud rate, adding grbl library and uploading hexfile to arduino even that is showing correct. But why GRBL controller 3.6.1 is saying ">CTRL+X
'no data from com port after connect.Expecting GRBL version string'
can you suggest me please?
my only options in Xloader for device are CC01 and CR03.... ?
Where can i get the code
Hi... How can I obtain 12v DC...
TWO dry cell are connected in series that each dry cell give output 6v DC
Better buy a power supply they arent that expensive
Does 2 DVD stepper works on it
One of my motors is running WAY too hot i burned the tip of my finger (the others are running hot too but not that bad) i have a 12v 500mA power supply any ideas on what to do?
you have to adjust the current on the drivers. you can watch some tutorials "how to adjust the current on a A4988 driver.
I want to buy this thing
can I build it with normal CD driver ( not DVD) ?!
can I follow the same steppes ?!
I watched your video, very good, can you tell me how to to hook it to the bread board, I am VERY new to all this.
we don't need program arduino uno?firmware?
I'm trying to make a cd rom 3d printer, but I can't find a way to use hot end in arduino. what should i do for it? (i'm using arduino UNO, )
What voltage I leave to the A4988
A4988 can handle 12 to 35V DC, but apply voltage according to your motor rating
Note, that not only depends on the A4988, it also matters what other components you are using. Another common controller board, RAMPS 1.4 board for instance, can't handle 35V, even with the A4988. That is because other components are lower rated
hi...
iam loding universal gcode sender with Arduino and cnc sheld 4988 .......
and I want try your way can I or not ...
I mean can I loding grbl and gcod seder in the same Arduino card
you have to load grbl to arduino board ok, now sperately run UGS and select port there on which your board is connected ...
Mr Innovative
thank you .....
nice bro......
thanks bro
How much cost of this things
what if i replace z-axis with servo motor still using cnc sheild, how im gonna do that?
can we convert this to 3d printer
yes! thats exactly what i did with this
This module can use 4 pcs 4A988 rerap stepper driver
i though blue cables were tied to USB 3.0/3.1, seems not to be the case over here though
I would like to know how to purchase all components and how much it all costs,
Congratulations on this video.
7:28 Right Click -> Save As... :)
yes some time we do simplest thing in hardest way this i what i did don't know y
Kitna budget. Chahiye
How can I fix
actually, as I am seeing till $22 but there is no more than $22.,how can I do that, $100,$101,$130,$131,or toggle hard limit I am not finding
how to make g code
What it is name software?
kita dapat beli dari mana boss..??
can you help me to setting extruder?
i just connect arduino to my computer. But when i run grbl controller as this video,it says 'no data from com port....."why
3 reason may,
1) not uploaded grbl firmware properly
2) COM port / Baud is not selected
3) delete any previously add GRBL library
BUT I'm not taking cnc shield with arduino, just I'm checking that if it is possible or confirm before I actually do my project but why grbl say 'no data from com port....".please can you tell me in brief and even COM PORT IS differ i.e 11 and how you get star.nc,i dont get it.
