Fun fact, Max Weinburg was the drummer for Conan’s band. Max was blown away by this performance and told his young son about them. His son, Jay Weinburg, current drummer for Slipknot
@@loiteringrambler2928 that's generally how I am too. Then I just stretch the muscles at the back of my neck and work out the ones in the front to get rid of the imbalance
The reason I love this clip is because it's on Conan. His house band leader was Max Weinberg, who's the father of Jay Weinberg, who took over Joey's spot on the drums
Point 2 - at first I thought nope, CT is just short. I rewatched it and saw him next to Mick & Jim and was shocked. Now I wanna google “how tall is Conan”
I tend to go fucking insane with headbanging when practicing screams to slipknot. It doesn’t affect it if you wear a mask either, but it does just make your head hot.
I didn't really get into metal until about a year or two ago, but I have this strange sense of nostalgia for this clip...I always stayed up to watch Conan as a kid, so I think I may have actually saw this when it first aired. Six year old me would have just been like "wtf is this" since I grew up with country music and I didn't get an appreciation for rock and rap until high school and beyond, but I think it's funny that Slipknot may have gotten me earlier than I realized.
What's up man. If your a career head banger your neck builds muscle. BUT!!! The average dudes neck is pulled bad for 3 or 4 days. Lol. I've felt it. It sux.
I don't know anyone who gets a headache from banging, but I guess if you're not used to it you can, but lm 50 years young and been headbanging since I was about 5 years old to Black Sabbath and the year Elvis Presley died 1977 . 70s and the 80s was a great time for music and to just be alive.
I don't get headaches but normally the next day after a concert of headbanging I get what they call a "bangover" . It's pretty much your neck being sore as hell from headbanging all night.
Slipknots current drummer (Jay Weinberg) is the son of Max Weinberg who was the drummer for Conan for a very long time. Max took his son to a slipknot show after meeting them on the Conan set. There is a picture of a very young Jay backstage with the band.
Please do 'left behind' and 'Solway Filth' by Slipknot (if you want to know the lyrics to the songs they are in the description of Slipknots video) 🤘🤘🤘✊
I saw Slipknot for my second time ever last August. I have never screamed so loud or headbanger so much at a concert and I usually go to ~20 concerts a year. Yes, when you head bang you get a headache but it’s much worse than normal. You feel it in your brain, behind your eyes, at the bridge of your nose, at the base of your spine, and the sides of your neck. But it’s so worth it to have the experience you do at a live show 🤘🏻
Man, their energy and stage presence from 99 to 2002 was unrivaled. First two album cycles were just insane and you can watch any live performance starting from Ozzfest 99 all the way through to Disasterpieces in London 2002 and compare it to any of their live shows taking place between Vol 3 and now and its just no comparison. Obviously now they are a lot older and cant do a lot of the things they used to, but that isn't the real factor. Its just a fact that bands lose momentum and just aren't as into it after doing it for so many years straight. It's not a knock at them, as i don't think any band could output the same energy at their shows today that they gave at their shows 20 years prior. It's like a marraige.... In the beggining, there's lots of passionate sex and you have all this energy and use it to have so much fun, but then after 20 years, you're sitting there, having gone without sex for months and you can't remember the last time you guys went out on a date and had fun but you stay together for the kids (or fans), lol.
I used to get headaches from headbanging, mostly when I was at home or school and hit my head into the pellet stove, a locker or the wall, but now I just get dizzy.
Their live shows r fuckin life changing I've seen them twice and it's the hardest show you can ever ask for "wait and bless" was the break out song that I fell absolutely in love with
When i saw slipknot live I went home with severe whiplash from head banging, also the way you said heretic at the beginning drove me insane 😂 love your vids bro
amazing vid bro. I love Slipknot. And yes i get a headache after head banging for a long time. But these guys are prob used to it so it doesn’t hurt them as much.
This song is Slipknot telling Hollywood to f*** off. The chorus is, "Well if you're 555, then I'm 666.", implying that if you're Hollywood and fake, then they are the opposite. If you are looking for another fun live song, check out Custer (live). Probably my favorite Slipknot song.
As a teenager I did a lot of headbanging (several times a week) and didn't experience any pain or even discomfort. Now, over 40, I don't do it that often and get muscle aches in my neck for 2 days afterwards.
Do one of the most iconic songs by them, because its so infamous that you partially see there faces which was rare at the time, react to Before I Forget
I listen to music a lot way too much lmao and I do get a headache sometimes but it’s not always when I’m listening to heavy music ,I also love jazz so much and when I’m listening for hours straight I get a headache
You say about showing the crowd at some point in it. My friend played on it a little while back and I asked at the time about how its shot and he said that its actually shot with several takes pieced together to get extra shots earlier in the day so there isn't a crowd there. Maybe its not always done like that but would make sense why they didnt show em.
Agree with left behind and kill pop. Also bro mudvayne and hellyeah . chad gray is just like Corey in terms of range, lyrics and scream/melody. Trust me
only the rookies get headaches homie , eventually you learn how to refine your headbang so eventually there’s no pain ... just gotta learn the most comfortable movements ... 😎🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿 rock on brutha 🤘🏿
I don't get a headache from it. It's subconscious, my head just wants to move and when it does, my sight is basically not being processed because I'm 100% feeling the music and in my head. Headbanging should come naturally if you feel it, and requires no thinking or thought towards your neck muscles.
You would think u get a headache but when your in the moment with the band and everyone is going crazy head banging and stuff u really just feel intensity
React to bring me the horizon "it never ends", "shadow moses", "sleepwalking", "can you feel my heart", "throne" or "parasite eve" and while she sleeps "silence speaks"
Its more of a neck pain depending on how long you have done it, which is why Corey Taylor's neck is so huge because he does it and sings as well. Long live The Neck
With the head banging thing, you build a tolerance to it. Your neck gets shit tons stronger and you head just builds a tolerance to being thrown around a shit ton😂😂😂
Lol headaches with headbanging depend on how hard you go with headbanging. I can say when I saw them in 2009, I was headbanging so much that I couldn't even hold my head up without my hands when I left, muscles in my neck were shot, but if you ask me, it was all worth it!
Corey has been doing his job for 20+ years and hes broken his neck from headbanging. Of course we get headaches sometimes from headbanding, although they go away the more you do it.
Fun fact, Max Weinburg was the drummer for Conan’s band. Max was blown away by this performance and told his young son about them. His son, Jay Weinburg, current drummer for Slipknot
Life is a crazy thing. 🤘🤘
and now he’s not
Still confused why he got the boot. Dude had mad skills on the kit.
When I headbang I usually don't have a headache problem, normally I get neck pain
By me both and this sucks
right. it’s more whiplash and a backache than a headache.
for me its not even neck pain anymore just a sore neck the day after
@@loiteringrambler2928 that's generally how I am too. Then I just stretch the muscles at the back of my neck and work out the ones in the front to get rid of the imbalance
Yass, after 11 years of listening to metal, I'm only now starting to get neck/shoulder pains. But it's worth it \m/
Do left behind from the album Iowa my brother🔥👌🏽💙
I agree 100%
That song is honestly so good. It manages to be the perfect balance of heavy and melodic.
See "I Am Hated" by Slipknot, you will love it! Also take a look at Jinjer for a female metal vocalist.
The reason I love this clip is because it's on Conan. His house band leader was Max Weinberg, who's the father of Jay Weinberg, who took over Joey's spot on the drums
Cool fact right?
Isn’t this when max showed jay the band for the first time???
I feel like everyone that reacts to this song doesn't know how to pronounce 'heretic'
Faaaaxxx lmaoo
Cept us Catholics!!! Lol.😂
🤣
My baadd! 🤦🏻♂️
Luke the way to pronounce it is hair- re- tic like that there you go your welcome for those who don't know how to say it🤦
1. Yes you do get a headache but it’s worth it (sometimes)
2. Conan is really tall
3. Megadeth - Peace Sells
it depends i have never gotten a headache from headbanging. i guess its all about how you do it haha
Point 2 - at first I thought nope, CT is just short. I rewatched it and saw him next to Mick & Jim and was shocked. Now I wanna google “how tall is Conan”
Heather Koonce 6’4 if you didn’t look it up
Guys you don't get a headache when you headbang KillerB
I tend to go fucking insane with headbanging when practicing screams to slipknot. It doesn’t affect it if you wear a mask either, but it does just make your head hot.
I don't really get a headache but more neck pain especially after concerts
Corey Taylor was featured in a Tech N9ne song called “wither” you should check it out.
I agree. Great song!!!
I know I've heard that song before but that was a few years ago. So I'll definitely revisit it and make a reaction to it!
Also Kid Bookie did a song with him
Slipknot - Diluted
Slipknot - Nero forte (music video)
Love your videos!
"It's like a scary flight of the bumblebee" haha fucking right.
The live in London version is way better, you get Corey's interaction with the audience at the start and it makes it way cooler.
Hey londonnnnnn...I got a secret!
I 100% agree!!. Totally insane!!
Left Behind is my favorite slipknot song. It's awesome! You should check the music video of this
100% agree it is so good
React to disasterpiece in London 2002 please!!
Slipknot - Killpop please next!
Sorry for pronouncing the title wrong. I'm new to this. 😂
Edit: Thanks for all the responses to my headache question! Headbanging sounds painful lol.
I am simple man, I see slipknot, I click, I like, I headbang my ass off 🤘🏼 And I am still patiently waiting Another way to die [OMV] by Disturbed
What's up man. If your a career head banger your neck builds muscle. BUT!!! The average dudes neck is pulled bad for 3 or 4 days. Lol. I've felt it. It sux.
btw one drums that fast thru many years of practice, endurance workouts, and para diddles.
Slipknot Disasterpiece it’s a must!!!
Eyeless by Slipknot \m/. Love how open you are to this style of music dude!
taking a nap and waking up to this was so worth it lol
Next: slipknot the nameless pls🤩
All Out Life, Nero Forte and Surfacing are my favorite Slipknot songs and I really want to see your reactions to it
When they play It live on a "normal concert", Corey say: put your devil horns up hahaha
Young brother you are ready for Tool. The army awaits and will support you. You'll pierce 10k scribes in short order.
Headache, and depending how hard you go, a mild case of whiplash in the neck!! I fucking love it!!
I don't know anyone who gets a headache from banging, but I guess if you're not used to it you can, but lm 50 years young and been headbanging since I was about 5 years old to Black Sabbath and the year Elvis Presley died 1977 . 70s and the 80s was a great time for music and to just be alive.
Yes headbanging = headaches, neck aches, back aches, etc but if youre feelin it its worth it
If you get a headache from headbanging. That's a sign that you were rocking hard enough. :D
I'd highly recommend nomadic by slipknot if you haven't already🤘
Slipknot rock the smallest stage to the ground 💥💥☝️💪💪💪🙌🙌🙌
This energy is simply incredible and still with masks 👍🤘🤘❤️💋
I don't get headaches but normally the next day after a concert of headbanging I get what they call a "bangover" . It's pretty much your neck being sore as hell from headbanging all night.
Slipknots current drummer (Jay Weinberg) is the son of Max Weinberg who was the drummer for Conan for a very long time. Max took his son to a slipknot show after meeting them on the Conan set. There is a picture of a very young Jay backstage with the band.
@kurtis B. If you get a headache you're either new to it or doing it wrong. 😂
Please do 'left behind' and 'Solway Filth' by Slipknot (if you want to know the lyrics to the songs they are in the description of Slipknots video) 🤘🤘🤘✊

You should react to Drugs by Falling in Reverse ! It won’t let you down! Great reaction !
That's coming out tomorrow
you get what we have named a "bangover" it literally feels like whiplash if we're going at it hard!
Yeah you can get a nasty headache, and I’ve given myself a few minor concussions 😂
They do this for a living, I go to their concerts when their are near by. No head aches. Neck acks yes. They must a gone to some pains.
I watched this shit on TV when it aired and didn't notice the camera headbanging along til someone on RUclips pointed it out. Nice observation.
Please do everything ends from the album Iowa 🔥 it’s such a good song🤘
I used to get headaches from headbanging, mostly when I was at home or school and hit my head into the pellet stove, a locker or the wall, but now I just get dizzy.
Their live shows r fuckin life changing I've seen them twice and it's the hardest show you can ever ask for "wait and bless" was the break out song that I fell absolutely in love with
You can watch slipknot-blister exists live at jimmy Kimmel 2004...that shit was dope...🔥🔥🔥
Slipknot made their TV debut on conan during their first album release. You should do a reaction video to that as well! If you can find it.
When i saw slipknot live I went home with severe whiplash from head banging, also the way you said heretic at the beginning drove me insane 😂 love your vids bro
That scary flight of the bumblebee joke was amazing
One of their best songs ever
amazing vid bro. I love Slipknot. And yes i get a headache after head banging for a long time. But these guys are prob used to it so it doesn’t hurt them as much.
is not a headache nah ah! it just be a fckn mentality rage!!!
headache is usually cured by another drink or two..but yes sometimes, also neck pain is more of a problem usually, especially at shows
You need to check “The Blister Exsist” Slipknot either the Jimmy Kimmel or the Big Day Out live performances the song rocks
No headache. All joy. 😊
Never got a headache from headbanging. Did get a headache and sore neck and back from a awesome pit.
YES I love this song keep up the good work mate
As a teenager I did a lot of headbanging (several times a week) and didn't experience any pain or even discomfort. Now, over 40, I don't do it that often and get muscle aches in my neck for 2 days afterwards.
Nero forte is my favorite new slipknot song.
Headache usually comes from how close to the speakers you are, with the loud noise
I really like ypur reactions. keep going man!
Awesome job👍
I used to get headaches but my head has adapted.
You can get a headache, absolutely, but you know how to headbang with time
Saw them in January, no headache but my neck was ruined for a couple of days.
Do one of the most iconic songs by them, because its so infamous that you partially see there faces which was rare at the time, react to Before I Forget
SOLWAY FIRTH!!! WONT REGRET IT!
Always love to see, first timer, honestly and natural. Nice react bro.. 🇮🇩🤟
Seeing this live was one of the best experiences of my life
Slipknot- Left Behind
Eyeless! off their debut album - its what got me into the band back in '99
Before I forget is a awesome song.
I listen to music a lot way too much lmao and I do get a headache sometimes but it’s not always when I’m listening to heavy music ,I also love jazz so much and when I’m listening for hours straight I get a headache
Headbanging is like fry screaming. There's a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it.
You say about showing the crowd at some point in it. My friend played on it a little while back and I asked at the time about how its shot and he said that its actually shot with several takes pieced together to get extra shots earlier in the day so there isn't a crowd there. Damn bro hope you blow up really enjoying these videos
It's unbelievable and difficult what they're doing. It takes a monster to pull this shit off. 😤 👏🤘💥💥🐘
Agree with left behind and kill pop. Also bro mudvayne and hellyeah . chad gray is just like Corey in terms of range, lyrics and scream/melody. Trust me
Hey man just subbed excited for more!!!
only the rookies get headaches homie , eventually you learn how to refine your headbang so eventually there’s no pain ... just gotta learn the most comfortable movements ... 😎🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿 rock on brutha 🤘🏿
Love your reactions bro 💯
Slipknot was on Conan twice. This song you just did and another one called Wait and Bleed.
No headache :) love it
Hi from Australia 😊 love your videos, keep up the great work, should give The Amity Affliction a try, great Australian band.
I don't get a headache from it. It's subconscious, my head just wants to move and when it does, my sight is basically not being processed because I'm 100% feeling the music and in my head. Headbanging should come naturally if you feel it, and requires no thinking or thought towards your neck muscles.
Your so pumped headbanging that you feel nothing till the next day 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You would think u get a headache but when your in the moment with the band and everyone is going crazy head banging and stuff u really just feel intensity
Can you do the Blister Exists live on Jimmy Kimmel
Why does no one suggest that song ever? I love it so much...
No headache. Neck pain? Absolutely
🤘😎🤘 I saw them in Ozzfest 2005 San Bernardino California and knotfest 2016 Indianapolis Indiana, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Actually almost puked on my way home from a Slipknot concert this February for headbanging too long 🤘🏻😅
React to bring me the horizon "it never ends", "shadow moses", "sleepwalking", "can you feel my heart", "throne" or "parasite eve" and while she sleeps "silence speaks"
Its more of a neck pain depending on how long you have done it, which is why Corey Taylor's neck is so huge because he does it and sings as well. Long live The Neck
BRO you have to watch "The blister exists" live on abc 🤘🤘🤘
Stone Sour - 30/30-150
Stone Sour - Say You’ll Haunt Me
Incase you didn’t know, Jim Root #4 was also in stone sour before
With the head banging thing, you build a tolerance to it. Your neck gets shit tons stronger and you head just builds a tolerance to being thrown around a shit ton😂😂😂
You don't get a headache if you headbang right.
Lol headaches with headbanging depend on how hard you go with headbanging. I can say when I saw them in 2009, I was headbanging so much that I couldn't even hold my head up without my hands when I left, muscles in my neck were shot, but if you ask me, it was all worth it!
Got to do Surfacing soon!
Lots of shows have setlists announced before hand.
And no, we get used to it, I mean, look how THICC Corey'S neck is
jinjer- who is gonna be the one (live)
Corey has been doing his job for 20+ years and hes broken his neck from headbanging. Of course we get headaches sometimes from headbanding, although they go away the more you do it.
Just a little fun fact. Corey actually broke his neck falling off stage. He landed on his head when he did it. He talked about it in a interview. 😁😁
