Here I am playing the instrument outside of its case---you see the spinet in its outer case at the beginning of the video, under the title. (Other videos will show me playing the instrument inside its case.)
Here I play three movements from harpsichord Suite IX by Louis Couperin (1626-1661), uncle of the more renowned François Couperin (1668-1733). These suites contain the very interesting unmeasured preludes, but I have recorded only the Courante, Sarabande en Canon, and Canaries. - Видеоклипы
That spinet has an outstanding sound!
At first glance I thought this instrument would sound an octave higher. Amazing such a big sound from such a small instrument.
Yeah. But I figure the longest string in that case is at least as long as the low E on a guitar which is the E below the bass clef staff.
@@robcat2075interesting to note the short octave, as E would be tuned to C, so F would be the second longest string. And here we come to which gauge of wire will sound the best…
Aufs Angenehmste beschwingt, sonor trotz der geringen Größe des Instruments, eine ganz feine Darbietung, vielen Dank dafür!
What a nice Instrument: rich sound!
Beautiful to hear. So much brighter sounding than a piano.
I did not realize how small the Zenti was. big beautiful sound too!
Has an incredible sound!
Ich bin eingeschlafen und hab das lief als ich aufgewacht bin und war komplett verwirrt.
Same Bruder 😂😂😂😂
I can just imagine the Lords and Ladies of the court dancing to this music. So beautiful 💖
I know what you mean. BTW, you can actually see the dances on here. Run a search on baroque dance or 18th century dance. The authentic dances are fascinating to watch.
Надеюсь когда-нибудь и я так буду играть на спинете! Браво!👏
А где его купить можно?
Thank you for gifting us with this.
Un instrumento pequeño sin duda ese Ottavinno, y a pesar de eso estoy seguro que se escucha mas lejos que muchos clavicordios.
I missed you. Love your music! ❤️
Me too, I'm so glad to see another video! You and your instruments sound better than ever.
Fabulous as usual, Ryan! Missed you!
Lovely to see/hear you back !
This upload made my day.
Good to see you again, Jack!
Wow! It can talk!
Imaginative grace does not mean unreal.

Cool
"Here I play three movements from harpsichord Suite IX by Louis Couperin (1626-1661), nephew of the more renowned François Couperin (1668-1733)".
Louis, born 1626, is the Nephew of Francois, born 1668?
Ha! Indeed, you are right: I switched uncle and nephew. I fixed that in the note.

Besidee this, beautiful music beautifully played!
Ear delight
Wow, that's so much shallower than other spinets. It looks strange.
Where can you buy this instrument
Kids, notice the TV is off !
How much an instrument like that costs?
Wood, workspace area, tools, and a few month worth of meticulous work:

Where can I get one?!
Superior sound and articulation to the ottavino. Scale appears to be about 30% longer but a octave lower. Leave it up to the Italians to get the most out of something.
