Yes, Joby yes! Go out there and show the world innovation at its best. I love the willingness to push the boundaries of what's possible. Steady and true does the trick.

Incredible developments. JoeBen is bringing it to fruition with a clear vision. The Delta partnership seals it. Exciting times with a classy captain at the wheel. Keep inspiring us, JoeBen!

I think Joby is going to happen. Sure hope so since I bought 2,000 shares earlier this year🤞

The big gap in my post below was where a LOT of text just evaporated .... the 'crossing out' is unintentional ,old computer.

The date of April 1st (April fool's day) doesn't auger well... The continual harping on about the cruciality of having ultra low noise is hardly insightful given the communitty resistance to present airport noise and helicopter pads -curfews and bans even for fixed wing aircraft that need MUCH less power on take off and less ,if any, on landing . Noise is a function, to the first order ,of
POWER as everyone around machinery well knows --starting with a brute force approach to getting airborne ,or even 'unflying', is about the worst way to approach the problem.
The narrative about a childhood in the redwoods and ' dreaming about taking off vertically and transitioning to level flight ' "as every child does" is strange of itself (and no mention of having been involved with Paul Moller and his lifelong well publicized VTOL 'dream' and work.--mentioned elsewhere...) perhaps the $JOBY in the title is closer to the fact. Making continual references to the virtue of quietness sounds a bit like 'he protesteth too much" and the recent (Sept 14) posting of a video WITH actual sound --recorded some 440 ft away - showing a 'surprisingly noisey 'emission' in the words of most of the commentators also shows that talking about being 'aware' of the prime difficulty with the side effects of VTOL does not SOLVE them. (just as Mark Moore putting the question about battery energy density up front -as though thereby showing ( or implying )it WAS not a critical issue - in the Uber elevate and earlier presentations ,did not in fact dispose of the question hanging over the eVTOL scheme . Having no awareness of the elephant in the room would be surprising as would trying to not mention it . Honesty or deflection ?
This vehicle is 'top heavy' amongst other built in faults -the track and wheelbase are too small to handle any degree of gustiness or run on landing ,especially if downwind --at least putting wheels on the tip prop nacelle trailing edges would help avoid blow over - as happens to high wing aircraft without huge weights up high and outboard , chewing up tip props if conventional rolling landing is an obvious danger . "Pinwheeling" if there is any failure of the tilting mechanisms, prop pitch control (A cause of many VTOL crashes ) battery power or motor burn out, birdstrike etc etc -- is almost guaranteed , being the reason aircraft do not put propellers far away from the centreline . design wisdom is lacking in various other ways --fundamental though is the same vulnerability to deteriorating weather, visibility etc that plagues all aircraft that cannot convert to use roads when prudence dictates . One of the major advantages of roadability "Time to spare, go by air" was one of the early rail slogans emphasizing the chanciness of relying on weather to co operate. -- not being able to 'sit out' a passing front for example from extremely low endurance or range .
The flowery rhetoric emplyed in this promotiuonal video is not matched by the facts and the 'future' alluded to might be indicated by the fate of Kitty Hawk or Uber elevate (and 'partners') -- rethinking the whole thing now would be a good idea for the sake of the overall personal air mobility movement --at least being more open about the real issues and shortcomings involved.

The 'crossing out' is not intentional and cannot be fixed - using very old second hand laptop , apologies for the effect.
