- Actor Bonnie Hunt joins the 3rd Hour of TODAY to talk about stepping behind the camera to direct the new Apple TV+ series “Amber Brown”. She also takes a moment to send love to her niece who is a cancer patient, and tearfully remembers her mother. “A part of me will always be grieving the loss of my mom,” she says.

When I first started working from home as a Disease Management / Case Management nurse I timed my lunch (6 hrs into my 10 hrs shift) so I could watch your show. You helped the nurse so she could take care of her patients. Thank you. I want to see you in front of the camera. OK, I know I am being selfish. Happy for you in whatever you want to do. Bonnie is one of the most talented people to ever grace show business and when she lends that talent to different projects it is a source of joy. I adored her talk show and she featured her mom Alice in pretty much every episode. It's obvious she got a lot of her humor from her mom, and I am so sorry to hear that she passed! I love Bonnie and am so happy to see she's got a new show and I'm definitely gonna check it out!

Oh Bonnie, my heart goes out to you. So many young people are getting cancer. I hope one of these days, you’ll return back to daytime tv. Those shows were a breath of fresh air with good values and morals. Something you rarely see today and I no longer watch regular tv. Best to you in your endeavors.

I watched some of the show Amber Brown and the child actors were terrible. I love Bonnie, but she needed better actors for the show to last more than one season.
Very disappointed that Bonnie Hunt did not cast a latina for this project. I'll pass on this one!
