Would suggest using the two empty plates beside the town hall like an Italian piazza- large open space with tables and chairs to sit! Public spaces add a touch of life to it for sure
2 in 1, Create more shelf space and jazz up the back wall of the Aquarium. Create a Mural using Van Gogh's "Stary Night" on the back wall of the Aquarium.
This is so much better!!! Reminds me of central park zoo, and even central perk is right beside it hahaah how fitting! Also you could put a train station for the zoo!?!?!
love where u move the zoo. i think the aquarium should be a little be small wide but taller. your old sanctum sanctorum should be either a library or another type museum
Absolutely love the new layout, the courtyard off of the university, and the hospital is just perfect. I must admit I was thinking you could get rid of the zoo completely, and just have the aquarium next to the museum, but the changes that you have made make it look even better. The only thing is although I like the idea of a stream in the city, having it go under the road wouldn't look quite right. Just have a pond in that area, and it can be a place where people feed ducks, walk dogs or have a picnic.
By narrowing the entrance of the Zoo, it'll be much easier to build dense and detailed pathway through exhibits, plus I really like that it gives a great view of the street behind it.
Here's a fun idea, where you have that little stream outside of the zoo, you should cut a hole in the table and have a waterfall drop through to connect your city with the medieval world beneath. Like a portal back in time
I'm liking this new idea as well. At 9:15 I think that would be a great idea it would be a great opportunity for some minifigures to go city fishing in the creek
Pop culture street is looking good. It is possible to see the back of sitcom tower with this layout. The two baseplates in front of town hall should be used to make a park
I am digging the new placement for the zoo. One thing i might do however is decrease the size of the aquarium since the size of the zoo also got smaller. To me it seems it takes up to much space, it seems almost 50% of the entire zoo area. But that's just my thought. Otherwise, awesome new layout for pop culture street :)
For one of the empty base plates beside the Town Hall you could have a street fair or farmers market set up. In my town on weekends in the summer there is usually some sort of pop up event by town hall or on Main Street. Sets like 40529, 60345, 60271, 60234 would have mini builds and ideas that could be used for this type of thing.
when i was a kind we went to disney but we also went to six flags in florida and the whole theme of the park was wild animals and they had trains that went through wildlife habitat setups around the park with lions and tigers and monkeys etc in their natural habitats that these animals live in...ever think of not so much making a dedicated Zoo but instead wildlife habitats throughout the amusement park which would give you so much landscaping you could do with mils and also good way to incorperate some type of the rail/train ambitions you have...i know space may be an issue but if you had the space I think that would be a great way to include a hybrid zoo/amusement park/train system...
I think the aquarium should be in front of main square and the entrance to the zoo be where the creek would be instead, that might give you more room but pop culture street looks great!
Here is a suggestion. Instead of a small creak with sewers, why not a little duck pond with benches/mini park? Those are quite common in cities and it would add a nice touch.
I really love the new layout of pop culture street! And the future placement of the new Sanctum Sanctorum is a good spot for all of us to see in its glory. Can't wait for the placement of it.
I think you need a small brick wall at the edge of pop culture street. Towards the front. So that it doesn't just stop at the edge. Otherwise I really like the new position of the zoo.
I love the transition from Superheroes to Harry Potter to Sesame Street then the zoo. Feels like a very appropriate progression with each making sense next to one another.
i think that the zoo should go between the roads like with a bridge over the roads too another bit of the zoo and the main bit infront of the town hall
You should consider shrinking down the aquarium a little bit in the zoo. Imo it looks way too big and this would accommodate more natural room for outdoor habitats for the animals 😊
I don't know what it was about this particular video but it was over WAY too quick. Lots of stuff covered as well so it definitely wasn't that. The zoo really is in a good spot right now. Now it isn't the focal point when you walk into the room either. You'll be greeted by the new sanctum whenever you get it. Very solid choice inspired by your better half, moving that zoo back. And it really does open the back city for viewing. Very cool! Maybe also a little parking area for zoo visitors in the future?
Something that could also work better and make it so you have more space for buildings: making two rows of back to back modulars (so the one row is facing outwards, the other inwards) and only one road going through the middle in between the two rows of back to back modulars!
Have you thought of adding a food market in front of town hall? Those 2 empty base plates would make a great scene with little market stands and people buying and selling produce.
I’m digging the new layout if pop culture street and the zoo. Maybe instead of a creek in the spot next to the zoo maybe just add some more animal pens for the zoo so it doesn’t look so small.
Very nice changes so many new buildings coming. I think the idea of the small stream in the city is nice..maybe if the baseplate is 8 studs then 4 studs for the stream and 4 studs for railing and benching is an idea
Isn’t it a good idea to add the Daily Prophet office at the back of the new expanded Daily Bugle? That way it will perfectly fit into the Diagon Alley setup!
Great update video. This may be an unpopular thought but I wonder if the zoo should be put on the back burner until you get more space. You could keep the aquarium as a separate attraction. Regardless of my opinion I am sure you will make things look great!
Maybe you can expand that creek idea to go under the fence and into the zoo, then make that water for an animal exhibit such as birds, ducks, or penguins?
On the backs of buildings you might see, make some 'art' work like you used to have along that fence. It will add color and something for the eye to see.
I think the zoo would look better as a layout for snow/sea animals and then other side like a safari. It would leave more room for the to fictionally explore and could look more natural
Love the new layout! The location of the zoo is perfect. It really opens things up to making the different levels behind so much more visible. Well done J &J!
Love it. Great idea to put all the Marvel related modular buildings in one area of the city. Here's hoping Lego do Oscorp, the Baxter Building or X-Mansion in future, but that will probably only happen once the X-Men and Fantastic 4 are in the MCU properly so it's gonna be a long wait.
Mate, love your thoughts and approach to the layout changes. My city is much smaller than yours and I'm wrestling with the view lines and building backs. The new layout makes sense and gives great view lines. Really love how it looks. Question: What is the old-style building in the lower left next to the avenger tower? Looks fantastic (well, they all do, I just didn't recognise it)
Awesome plan. Can't wait to see what the expanded Bugle looks like along with the new Sanctum Santorum. My sole question being is what's gonna happen to the custom Santorum you have? Great ideas Bricksie as you're always thinking 3 steps ahead on how to improve the city while adding new stuff.
Personally I’d have the skyscrapers along the back wall and corner like you originally had when you first built the tables. Plus the zoo should be with the amusement park but you’re the boss. You should get the buildings and traffic lights lit up.
I really like you can see into the sitcom block from the back, that was all hidden before? Would be nice to see some lower angles in the tight spaces, just speculation here but would those nano spy cams be able to get you some good shots from a lego person's view? ive never used them so dont know what their quality would be. Really impressive work, love seeing all the updates.
I was hoping for a road bridge over the zoo. Or a tunnel under the zoo. The zoo would be more interesting if it is not just flat. I would make a zoo on a small hill and build one of the roads under it.
I’m living vicariously through you, but I would not do the creek downtown…do a fountain or an artistic water feature like some cities do. Also mad props to your Wife (Josay?) I have been binging your videos and see how she keeps you organized and also has great ideas behind the scene!!!
New to your channel. I mean this with the utmost respect and admiration. I am so glad there are lunatics like you in this world. Just amazing and wonderful. I also count myself in the same league with a 30 foot train set in the loft. Keep building and I will keep watching. All the best and take care.
I really like the new layout and reduced size of the zoo. One thing that kept getting to me though is that the University feels a bit out of place where it is.
I like the idea of a water feature on the outside of the zoo but instead of a stream why not have it as a pond? Still could be a gathering area for mini figs
Personally I’d get rid of the zoo, it takes up a huge space, I would make that the port and extends the camp and farm into where the port currently is, ditch the zoo and build a bigger port.
It's looking good man. Getting the detail into the zoo like the campground will really start to finish that full table. Enjoying watching the journey since the new tables went up 👍🏻
Love the new layout! I think it would be cool to bring pop culture street creek in to the zoo! I think it would create an interesting natural look which will fit with the zoo theme!
I must say, I'm really excited for the zoo, mush more than the train tracks tbh. Just like the boat docks, it might no be the most flashy part of the town, but definitly one of the most interesting to see being built (when it will be buiilt at least).
Nice changes! One question I've always had, though: have you considered going from two 2-lane roads on that peninsula to just one, running down the middle? That would allow you to have two blocks of back-to-back buildings instead of just one - and THAT, in turn, would eliminate your perennial problem of having rows of totally exposed backs of buildings right on the edges of each of the two long sides of that peninsula. You could take the 32 studs' worth of space savings (from the removed road) and use it for two 16-stud bike/pedestrian paths with greenery, one along each long edge of the peninsula, giving all the building fronts a nice "front yard" and a beautiful border/buffer from the edge of the tabes. More greenery, better camera views of that part of the city, no exposed building backs, and zero lost space for buildings. the loss of one of your two road sections seems like a very small price to pay for all that.
I'm not entirely sure that the zoo works there maybe it would be better where the ninjago city buildings are and they could go where the zoo currently is because they are technically parts of pop culture. And maybe part of the river runs through the zoo. Just an idea though.
Awesome video just got back from the west Edmonton mall lego store first time ever Inside a lego stores for me what a rush Got a bunch of black falcon knights and Harry potter sets!
I was thinking instead of the river stream next to the zoo .make it a car park even if you take out sesame street set for a biger car park ? or is the car park inside the zoo and do you have a $ pay booth on entry like most zoo s do .at the zoo sign or is the pay booth in side the building entrent s. ...
Ηi Bricksie, let me tell you something!i believe when the Eiffel Tower comes in the market,as i am sure you will get this master piece, then you will change everything again, you will put the Eiffel tower where the zoo used to be and you will transfer the zoo under the table in the area when the trains are!its just a feeling of the future, lets see if it comes true!!
Would suggest using the two empty plates beside the town hall like an Italian piazza- large open space with tables and chairs to sit! Public spaces add a touch of life to it for sure
Yea cool
I'm just thinking... a little train station or platform at the zoo? I like the new layout, it's neat.
2 in 1, Create more shelf space and jazz up the back wall of the Aquarium. Create a Mural using Van Gogh's "Stary Night" on the back wall of the Aquarium.

Love the new look! You should totally build some sort of dots art work on the back of the aquarium! That would look epic!
Here's a fun idea, where you have that little stream outside of the zoo, you should cut a hole in the table and have a waterfall drop through to connect your city with the medieval world beneath. Like a portal back in time

I do really like the aquarium..
Agreed. The smaller zoo looks much better.
@@confriepanda1959 i do to, but it seems a bit out of proportion compared to the rest of the zoo now.
@@Peter-tv7yz What if he turns the aquarium around maybe. Have the entrance at the other road..?
@@confriepanda1959 but then the back side of the aquarium is facing into the city

At first I was skeptical about the table layout being like that but now that it’s coming together I am liking it more and more!
Where the zoo is you could have a sports stadium? That would be pretty awesome football or hockey 🤷♂️

Have you thought of adding a food market in front of town hall? Those 2 empty base plates would make a great scene with little market stands and people buying and selling produce.
You should add picnic tables and fire pits to the campground… and maybe a small outdoor amphitheater or playground.
You could move the diagon alley to the edge of the table, so the roads seem like "continuous" and it's possible to see the alley
I’m digging the new layout if pop culture street and the zoo. Maybe instead of a creek in the spot next to the zoo maybe just add some more animal pens for the zoo so it doesn’t look so small.
You could probably design a really cool road-side mural, and build it in off the backside of the aquarium.

For the for the sewer thing you could have people fishing or magnet fishing 🎣 from it.
just fun little detail you could add
You can move half baseplate back and build a market.
Great update!!!
The size of the zoo can definitely be shrunk. I'm liking the updated layout to pop culture street.
Like the new layout, now you have more of a city zoo.
One if the baseplates that you have open near the cityhall could be a food truck place?
Love the new layout! The location of the zoo is perfect. It really opens things up to making the different levels behind so much more visible. Well done J &J!

Idea, rotate the zoo so entrance faces new sidewalk area and then the back of the aquarium will be facing your back wall.
Amazing new lego layout n you should have the river run halfway through the zoo...
For anyone that knows of Doctor Mordred, that would be a good conversion for the custom Sanctum.

Nice job Jordan!! Looking awesome 👏🏼 bought mine Sanctum Sanctorum yesterday 😄
with regards to the spaces either side of the square in front of town hall. might consider make them parking areas.

This looks more thought through and makes sense! I look forward to the finishing touches in the pop culture district!
I would use the alley instead to extend the zoo a bit more but it looks so much better overall 😊
I think the sitcom tower would look good next to the hospital where the gazebo is at
My idea for infront of town hall would be an outdoor food court of sorts: hot dog cart, ice cream, etc.
I really like the new layout and reduced size of the zoo. One thing that kept getting to me though is that the University feels a bit out of place where it is.
Love the new layout. Please ignore all the hate comments those people are probably just jealous of ur amazing collection or your successful channel!
Pop Culture Street is my favorite part of the LEGO City👍🏻😄!
Once you finish the zoo you should re-do a full lego tour room! But also seriously great job!
One possibility to consider for the zoo area is to place it with the theme park. Kinda like Disney has the Animal Kingdom.
It's looking good man. Getting the detail into the zoo like the campground will really start to finish that full table. Enjoying watching the journey since the new tables went up 👍🏻
That layout looks great! And you minimized the zoo!
Maybe you should make a custom clock tower from back to the future. I think that would fit in on pop culture street
awesome video jordan the lego city is looking amazing great placement on the zoo it looks great where you put it
New lay out looks
Awesome
Love the new layout! I think it would be cool to bring pop culture street creek in to the zoo! I think it would create an interesting natural look which will fit with the zoo theme!
Diagon alley is really cool, it's a shame it really can't ever be seen. Like obviously that's kind of the point but still
I must say, I'm really excited for the zoo, mush more than the train tracks tbh. Just like the boat docks, it might no be the most flashy part of the town, but definitly one of the most interesting to see being built (when it will be buiilt at least).
Love the layout, looks really nice and fresh
Sitcom Tower next to Ghostbusters was just perfect! Sad...
Sesame Street is too low compared to SitComplex, exposing the ugly backside of SitComplex.
Have the river run through the Zoo and end up in that green space.
Nice changes! One question I've always had, though: have you considered going from two 2-lane roads on that peninsula to just one, running down the middle? @Bricksie you have scammers in the comments
I love this video thank you
You should build the comic center/ Stuart's comic book store from the big bang theory
The city is really coming together! With the zoo it would be neat to include a dinosaur enclosure
that creek should also go under the zoo walls and maybe thru the middle of the zoo
I think the water creek would look better as a storm drain and you can put a crocodile or alligator that has escaped from the zoo
I think since you have Popculture Street. Instead of it being a Zoo, you could make it Jurassic Park! Because why not 😂
Also. The back of the sitcom tower sorta sticks out now
I really enjoy these videos. All I build is technic and I don’t own a single minifig, but watching your process is fun, thanks👍🏻
Dude you should apply to the competition show Lego Masters! You can vlog your experience on the way their!
I was thinking instead of the river stream next to the zoo .make it a car park even if you take out sesame street set for a biger car park
? or is the car park inside the zoo and do you have a $ pay booth on entry like most zoo s do .at the zoo sign or is the pay booth in side the building entrent s. ...
Finally the zoo
I recommend changing the old sanctum into a museum
I like the changes to the layout! Also, have you thought of possibly changing the old sanctorum into a library?
Might be time for that barn
Ηi Bricksie, let me tell you something!i believe when the Eiffel Tower comes in the market,as i am sure you will get this master piece, then you will change everything again, you will put the Eiffel tower where the zoo used to be and you will transfer the zoo under the table in the area when the trains are!its just a feeling of the future, lets see if it comes true!!
