Thank you for this. I started teaching two SOWK classes this year in addition to my full time job. I’m only 24 and I dealt with the imposter syndrome throughout my experience and the feeling of not knowing enough. What helped me was our midterm evaluations where my students gave me really positive feedback. Self care is super important and I realized that with this experience. Again, thank you 💛
Hey my friend, I’m so happy you leaned into the discomfort of teaching! I know your students loved having you! And I didn’t realize how much representation mattered until students expressed it. And congrats on your sister pursuing her MSW!!! The direct message for zoom was a great idea. I will use that in the future. I hope you enjoyed it and decide to teach in the future if and when it feels right for you! It seems like you may enjoy teaching a direct practice course like a specific school social worker course. And I agree that social justice is difficult. Lots of inner work, triggers, etc.
👍🏾👍🏾Congrats on putting yourself out there in unfamiliar territory. I'm glad you had a positive experience. I'm also a UT - Austin graduate (BSW & MSSW). Hook 'Em! 🤘🏾
thank you so much for the information. This makes me confuse. the job description says : $5K for each class taught $15k for three classes full time. Is there a chance Ill get the $15k? Job description is Instructor of Philosophy subjects are critical thinking and science and society

I love this thank you. I am considering this as well. 4% of Latinas earn a Masters Degree... wow!! That rely makes me reflect.
