How to Enable the Home Button and Set Your Home Page in Chrome
By default, Google Chrome hides the traditional toolbar “Home” button. If you’d like to enable the home button and define which site it points to-your “Home Page”-we’ll need to open Settings.
First, open “Chrome” and click the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the window. In the menu that appears, select “Settings.”
Typically, the default homepage is the New Tab page, which gives you quick access to recently visited websites and a Google search bar. While some users find this page useful, you might want to specify another URL as your homepage.

I did post a comment......which YT has obviously censored and deleted ( which is not unusual during these suspicious times! ) which said that I changed my new page address to 'google', but there is not a 'save', 'ok' or 'confirm' button and therefore when I close my settings window and open another tab, nothing has changed. I still get a blank page....
