Recorded with a/b stereo pair of DPA 4060s via a Sound Devices MixpreD into a Zoom H5 recorder.
This is a dreamy white noise treasure. It's exceedingly relaxing and very nearly perfect - no pops, clanks, crickets or other annoying stuff. If it were several thousand percentage points longer it would go platinum.
Having just gotten back from taking a walk in front of an oil refinery, I can say this is surprisingly accurate.
No.1 image I seen ever in night.

Thats mainly the sound of pumps and fluids going through pipelines

Is it illegal to go to one of these places for a Date? Like I want to just sit and watch the Fire. I'll pay whatever I need to for wve. A Tour. The peace those factories give me is something I have never experienced before. Am I weird?

Is it possible to use these sounds in a commercial project? Where could I license it?
excellent is the 4061 better for live music events? I know it has less sensitivity I believe the 4060 is still rated pretty high on spl trying to decide on obe for live events mostly small clubs not big outdoor events
check the tapersection and gearslutz forums. If you only use them for load events probably 4061s but they are more noisy than the 4060s if you want them for other uses that might be an issue.
Should have started searching for this with the key word "refinery" instead of "chemical plant". With the latter all I got was sonic remixes.
