where do you get the calculator?

how do I do question 3 on the site? I do pi9 squared and I get 81, which is an answer but the answer key says its D which is 254, I assume I have to add the thickness of the pizza into it somehow?
You're on the right track! Instead of 81, it'll be 81π, so when we hit the button above enter, it'll multiply 81•3.14, which gives use the 254. Hope that helps!
@@GetSumMath oh I see thank you!
What is this called? Surface area? I’m trying to find worksheets to practice more but I don’t know the name of these problems :((
Hey there! These are area of shapes problems. Here are a few practice on my website!
www.getsummath.com/area
@@GetSumMath thank you so much! My friend is practicing for his GED so I’m trying to find worksheets for him, haha.
Doing the questions on the website. And for the the first question why is the 22 the base instead of the 26. Got the question wrong because I confused then originally
Good question! 22 and 14 are the base and height (or vice versa) because they are 90 degrees to each other. The base and height for any shape will always be 90 degrees to each other, which is why 6 is the height for the second problem. Does that help?
@@GetSumMath sorta? kinda hard for me to visually know what 90 degrees is? Is that what the little box between 22 and 14 is indicating?
@@Cypher-vu3jf Exactly. It's like the intersection of 2 roads: one going North & South and the other East & West
Trapezoid is a flat screen from an angle 😂
There it is!
1:01 Dog
For that one, we could do 4•8 or 8•4 and the area will be 32 either way. So you could call 8 the length and 4 the width, or the other way around. Hope that helps 🙏🏻
@@GetSumMath you don’t hear your dog barking in the background?
