You do know that the most important trait for a QB is throwing the ball, right? Not running. Sure it's a plus but not important the greatest quarterbacks in league history never relied on there feet first, it was there arm. Give russ time to throw (which he has had it times but not all the time) and he makes plays. And he has shown all season the he is still very capable of getting out of a collapsing pocket and EXTENDING THE PLAY, not completely abandoning it first by running past the line of scrimmage. Extending plays has always been russ's thing, and running the ball is usually his last option when it comes to making something out of nothing. A lot of great quarterbacks also had amazing weapons. Throughout bradys career he had guys like randy moss, Gronk, edelman, Mike evens, and Chris Godwin, mahomes had Tyreek Hill, and has Travis Kelce, and some talented receivers right now including DeAndre Hopkins, rodgers had Jordy Nelson, Randell Cobb, devante Adam's. My point here is, GREAT QUARTERBACKS REQUIRE GREAT RECEIVERS 99.9999% OF THE TIME FOR BOTH TO LOOK GOOD, IT TAKES A GREAT TEAMS TO WIN GAMES, NOT JUST A GREAT QUARTERBACK WITH NO TALENT/OFFENSE AROUND HIM.
Bruh😭 every QB is “aging”, so dumb point there. Russ is putting up top 10 numbers in his 8 starts. They’ll never sign him for more than 3 years, so not really long term lol. He is clearly proving that he can still compete with the best this season. It would be idiotic to let him walk from the Steelers, having no real back up plan.
I really don't even watch football anymore I live in Pittsburgh but I travel the world now so I don't really have time to watch and pay attention to sports I'm out there traveling making a living working but I can see just from a distance of Steelers really f***** up this year we should have been like 3 and 13 or so at this point so we could have positioned ourselves for a really good quarterback and said they're going to make a mistake and sign a 37-year-old under 6 ft quarterback for the receivable future probably
I would stay away from jets they are a dumpster fire And bengals went from a potential Super Bowl fav and afc north shoe in winner to a JOKE, Zac Taylor should be canned they are absolutely pathetic on defense

i don't know about a "long term" deal for Russ, but a short or maybe medium term contract? that definitely makes sense at this point
yes, and either keeping Fields or drafting/getting a young guy behind him
3 years 100 million with no guarantees after year 2 is fine
I'd sign Fields over Russ. These aging QBs can get washed quick. Look at Kirk Cousins lol
40mio for a Wr is bonkers when there are about 25 'great' one's in the league and we got 5-8 instantly producing wr's coming in per year
Russ ain't leaving Pittsburgh
A long term deal for an aging QB who can't move like he could and relies on their only weapon. That sounds like a great move.
The deal they’re talking about is pretty middle of the road, and the alternative is probably just not competing for 2-3 years so………
You clearly don't watch the games

I truly felt like the Bengals should have gone for Bill Belichick. Them or the Bills

They should’ve been 3-13?? My guy you know nothing about football. They went 10-7 with Rudolph trubisky and Pickett what on earth r u talking about 😂
