    I love manta rays.
Why is it so blue? Does it not have underwater white balance?

I would imagine it's the lack of light - it is a small sensor. If you look at the other videos shot in shallow water (when snorkelling for example), the colours look a lot better. I agree about Manta Rays: they're amazing! I held my breath a couple of times (I know it's a really bad to do) and they got very, very close. At some point, two of them came so close I could have touched them. It's amazing to think they're curious about us, when we're so curious about them.

ah ok, I thought it has software filter built it....or perhaps the underwater lens has filter built in....but I think it's just a flat port without filter, thanks

FlyingPigNJ -- The Tracker DOES have a software "filter" (actually a red-channel booster), and it activates automatically below a certain depth...or it can be turned on manually. It can also be disabled, which was possibly the case here.

I really think it was simply the lack of light. The colours in shallower depths were much nicer, check my other videos. And GoPros equipped with a physical red filter deliver a rather similar results, no?

"I really think it was simply the lack of light. The colours in shallower depths were much nicer..."
Yes, as you go deeper the light level decreases; and the first light to go is red light. (Water doesn't absorb all colors equally.) So the Tracker boosts the red channel when it detects that it is below a certain depth...IF that feature is enabled.

When filming while scuba diving did your TG tracker ever shut off due to internal overheating???

That's never happened, but I would always turn it on and off and not film a whole dive. The longest it's ever stayed on was probably around 20 minutes. Are there reports of it overheating during extended use? I would have thought that even warm waters (25 degrees) would be enough to keep the camera cool.

Paul Kouin it always does that with mine...not like the go pro where you can leave it on the entire time...I read the manual and it states a maximum record time of about 35min. If you can try it and see if yours does the same that would be great! Because if not then I might have a defective unit.
