After you put the drop of Maple Syrup next to the weaver ants, I love how one of them just looked at the syrup for a few seconds, then seemed to look directly at the camera. Almost as if it say "What am I supposed to do with this?"
Superworms: He's been going on about these ants for over eight minutes, I think we're in the clear- Mikey: We've now come to the moment you've all been waiting for... Superworms: *Why do I hear boss music?* The background music: *HALLELUJAH!*

Dude, imagine being that guy who first discovered weaver ants. You see a strange mass of leaves in the woods, and suddenly notice hundreds of ants crawling out of it. xD I think weaver ants are among my favorite ants. And I especially love their beautiful queens. It was amazing seeing the ants form that barrier of ants around the worm to hold it in place.
I have a whole kingdom of carpenter ants in my frontyard, and I have been feeding them and checking up of them from time to time, thier nest is so big now from last time I've seen the nest Update:THE ANT KINGDOM IS HUGE NOW, ITS AS BIG AS CAR WHEELE, AND THERE IS SO MANY NEW ANTS, OMFG IM SO HAPPY THAT MY FIRE ANTS ARE FINALLY SOLVED, HAVENT SEEN A FIRE ANT FOR DAYS NOW

Gotta love your videos! I'm currently watching this in the basement, we had a tornado last night. This really helped me feel better about the situation. Also, don't worry, it didn't hit us. I just heard tornado sirens going off, no destruction. It's all ok.
3:55 lol She's looking at you like, "What do you want me to do with THAT?" This might be the first time I've noticed that those we are watching are watching us.
Weaver ant: What's this? Mikey: Canadian maple syrup! Weaver ant: *Do I look like I'm a Canadian to you?* As great as Canadian maple syrup is, Vermont's maple syrup is a worthy opponent
Those are amazing ants indeed. Last time I saw them was at the shore of Lake Begnas in Nepal, some years ago. Here at home I only have a Crematogaster ionia colony on my balcony to feed. 🙂
I saw a video, I think on Monster Bug Wars, where a weaver ant nest was blown into a paper wasp nest by a storm! I've been in love with weaver ants ever since... and 2 ant videos later was the 1st AntsCanada video I ran into! :)
I'm not one to write a comment but I just wanted to see if anyone else could see the heart shape the Weaver ants have created on their nest at 5:36 I love my ant's and I also love this channel thank you for your amazing videos
Here in the Philippines, we call them Antiks cause they're always in some sort off antics and are always in our mango, rambutan or any fruit bearing trees
Honestly, your videos don't make me want to keep ants, moreso then pay more attention to their a tivities around me. Recently, I've had a colony of Australian red meat ants pop up in my back yard... hella aggressive, but fascinating. Thank you for continuing to open peoples eyes to the world around them.
I have a little fatsia tree on the balcony and there seem to be a colony nearby who likes to use it to chill in. At any given time there's generally a few ants just chillin' in the folds.
this is super cool this is why i luv this channel i used to be scared of bull ants no joke until i started watching you i started watching them with a different opinion
Hope you show some footage on how you accomplish moving some of your tanks? Into the new house. And maybe come up with some new ideas and how to move fish tanks better.
Hey, Ants Canada, if you didn’t know, you are in the nesting location of Anoplolepis Gracilipes (yellow crazy ants), that means after giving what we AC family calls “The Golden Empire” away, you can start another (if you manage to find more to be exact)

I can see it smiles and say 'cheese'😁
What if that was a warning. 👀
Been keeping a colony next to my porch of carpenters and they have survived there 3rd winter and are looking good and strong with substantial growth 😀
Wow you are taking care of a colony in your own way that's amazing!

As a Canadian, there's just something so incredibly funny about maple syrup being referred to as exotic 😄
Those asian ants must think it's indeed exotic.. there are no maple trees in Asia, and the foreign smell might not be too enticing.
Didn't even think of that lol. We are so blessed
Yeah same
Just need to water it down a bit, or take it to sugar for them to recognize it as the rocket fuel it is lol
