Salaries in India are pathetic, IT sector is an exception. However higher foreign salary are also not sustainable.

If you have to take a loan to study in US and have no scholarship. it is better to study in India.
Depends on the college, even a 1.5 crore loan to study at Harvard is better than studying for free at IIT

Abroad. Not just study but one must give his best shot to settle in one of the developed western countries during his early 20s if he hails from a middle class family in India. Today , a lot of Indians are making good money but the problem remains with their thought process and attitude which is very toxic and regressive in general. You could work in the best company in India but you would surely stumble upon toxic work culture , favouritism , office politics , long working hours etc. Some things just don't change. The senior management comes across as polite and have their way with words but at the end of it all the grievances of the people at the lower end of the corporate hierarchy often remain unaddressed and unresolved. Even when you give interviews , the Indian interviewers often come across as rude , judgemental and asking questions which are not very relevant to the actual job. Some are even adamant to make you solve a question in a way they expect you to even if there are multiple methods to solve it. The situation is slightly better down south (Pune, Bangalore etc.) as people have some professional courtesy and integrity in comparison to what you experience working in companies in Noida , Gurgaon etc. where most people are from UP, Bihar, Delhi , Haryana and Punjab. The communication and interaction in the companies in the NCR region is often not very formal and lines are breached more often than they should. This is one of the reasons why so many IT professionals after working for a few years in India don't think twice at their first opportunity to settle in a developed country in the West , even when there is a huge challenge ahead of starting their professional life from scratch.

US doesn't accept Visa easily also. And I took IB from an edtech company Datatrained and they are a complete trash in terms of content. Indian colleges except tier 1 don't provide quality education seriously not stirring any international feeling but this country has corruption deep rooted in any level that nomatter how the country grows the common man will be suffering.

"Just because you worked in abroad, you will get higher value for job in India"- This is definitely not true nowadays (at least not in Tech for sure). No one cares what you have done abroad, India is a completely different market. There are many examples of people who worked abroad and didn't get any good external offer to come back to India. But yes, for them taking internal transfer is a much better deal.
It's becoming boring and repetitive by the day.
